I'm about to finish the 3rd disc on Lost Odyssey. I have to return it by tomorrow night so I'm thinking about playing like crazy to beat the game in time. I still want to get all the seeds and do some of the other achievements but I'll probably have to save that for another time.

I caved and got Ratchet & Uncharted today. I've gone from no games in my backlog to like 7 in the last few weeks. Oh, good. :p

But, this is my last chance to have multiple stores to go to. Once we move to South Dakota, it's a 2 hour trip to anywhere remotely populated. I wonder if there's a game store in Mobridge. Maybe I should open one... ;)

[quote name='Jesus_S_Preston']So I'm signing up for a Gamefly 30-day trial this coming week...any recommendations for a good 360 game I can rent and finish?[/quote]

Cars, if you don't mind playing for the achievements and not for fun.

[quote name='gunm']Kewl, Tales DS is looking pretty good. The battle sequences look a bit GBA-ish, but I'm still somewhat hype for it

Here's the trailer:

Pants are tight in the crotchal region. I am so glad the DS has gotten past the gimmick naming for a lot of games. Like it doesn't have to be Tales of Dual Strings. I know it has been like this for awhile, but I just wanted to reiterate my love for game names not being dumbed down to blah blah:DS. I am going to play more MLB Power Pros.

At 1 AM EST on Spike TV...

Gears 2 SP and MP footage. Cliffy reveals a new MP map and he will hint at new features.
Flower introduction.
First Rock Band 2 footage.
Dragon Age teaser.
And most importantly sneak peak of the Fallout 3 trailer.

Go Go TiVo!

EDIT: Why did Kendal quote that trailer but not write anything?

Looks like Kendal's post ravaged the video embed. Or something.

Or it's because hell froze over and I wrote a blog entry. Ugh.

Think I might have to look up a few items on GameFAQs to finish off some quests in EO2. No clue what I'm supposed to be doing all of a sudden.

oh, I've seen this before on another forum. I dont think its the video, its a quirk having to do with incorrect quote tags, if this is in fact the same error.

We can also break it further until everything is way the hell to the right.

wtf is going on? is kendal the lord of CAG?

as for finding a store daroga, I'm sure you'll find one close. I've been to some cities where it's in the middle of nowhere and you can still easily find a GS tucked away somewhere.

I did write something. The thread broke with the words of awesome!

I wrote the following:

For some reason the last page was afraid of my words.

I noticed that anything under a link with media tags doesn't get displayed when saving the post. I guess quoting a post with media tags makes it worse.

[quote name='RelentlessRolento']I'm still waiting for a game that plays like DMC or NG but is neither of those genres... don't know what... but whatever.[/QUOTE]
Too Human's out next month

it's a bug in the media tagging without media tags system.

if you post a youtube-ish video link but don't put media tags around it, this seems to happen. (i did it once...)

[quote name='pete5883']Too Human's out next month [/quote]
Really? Well I guess I shouldn't be shocked since a demo is coming out in the next week or so. I can't wait to see Denis flip out again when people complain about the demo.

MarkMan: Hope your daughter likes the manga! Azumanga Daioh's a favorite around our place - very funny. I'm also jealous of your Dragon Quest book!

Last night I started up a new game of FFVII... for fun :whee:

Considering that I was the webmaster of a major FFVII fansite for four years (up until May 1st of this year; I'm still on staff as the host/news editor/occasional techmonkey, though), this is something I've been looking forward to doing. It's my favorite game, but I got kind of sick of firing up old save files to look for possible game errors which our visitors claimed to find. Fortunately, a lot of these were allegedly in FMVs, which I could watch individually on my computer (via the PC version). The others, though...

Speaking of versions, I'm currently playing the PS1 one. The translation lacks the PC version's polish and the characters (and other non-FMV animated elements) are jaggier, but the backgrounds and FMVs look better, plus I get to sit on the couch. I'm currently at the spot right before the battle against Airbuster in Midgar's Reactor No. 5 (the second Mako Reactor on the bombing schedule).

Oh, and I also finally gave up on Zack & Wiki. The two puzzles I have left at the moment both require timed waggle bits, which I just can't get the hang of. It's either the game's fault or mine

Speaking of Azumanga I should actually watch the anime since I picked up the boxset a while ago. I've read the manga at least 6 times but I have never actually every ep of the anime.... Also I really want to see Yotsuba animated too.

I don't think I could ever replay FFVII. Sure I thought it was a great game back in the day. But it hasn't really aged that well...

I've only seen the first episode of the Azumanga Daioh anime and couldn't get into it; the format just didn't seem to fit. Yotsuba is perfect for animation, though, provided it's done by a good director.

As for FFVII, I feel much the opposite: it hasn't really aged well, but it's still a great game. Also, I don't know how many times I've played it at this point (and that goes for both complete and incomplete games)...

I played through FF7 on my PSP last year. This was the first time I've played it since '98 or so. Although it did not age well, it still has the great, golden age of Squaresoft, gameplay.

But, throwing the zipcode into GS's locator only reveals one store when you set it at 100 mile radius, and that's 89 miles away (more as the crow flies, 132 miles by the roads available).

So, yeah, middle of nowhere. :)

And Kendal? Fix this thread right now, young man!

[quote name='nyprimus4']It goes down the entire block. I'm pretty sure that's ICO in the middle left.[/quote]That picture is AWESOME. And it looks like a goomba Ico.

[quote name='botticus']So Godfather Wii and WarioWare Smooth Moves could be had for $14 at Circuit City through tomorrow.[/quote]Sweet. I've been wanting Smoove Mooves for a while.

[quote name='RelentlessRolento']if you have yet to get twisted, that still stands as the best in the series.[/quote]That was definately the best, gad I laughed myself silly at some of those.

[quote name='Jest']Whoa... who broke the GGT?[/quote]I fixed it. Please, hold your applause.

GUYS: If you put a youtube link anywhere, do NOT use the Media tags. Just paste the URL as a link, and it will embed itself. Otherwise, mushroom cloud for the rest of the page.

Hey GGT,

I played a little SingStar this morning, along with Burnout Paradise Online. Still enjoying the update a lot. :D Played Warhawk last night, but felt kind of tired.

I might play CoD4 tonight.

When my friend came over yesterday, I did play Warriors Orochi with him. So far, I'm enjoying it and glad I got it.

Gaming is going to be minimal this weekend, since I REALLY need to make sure I get my resume completely finalized (I may skip out on CoD4 night if I have to).

well, turns out there isn't much else worth buying on PS3. Maybe I'll get Warhawk for about $20, but the GH line is coming soon.. the only other game that's sorta interesting is Ninja Gaiden Sigma, and the Xbox version is better.

I have around 26 retail PS3 games, around 15 are exclusives, and I enjoy them all personally (and I got a bunch of pretty cool downloads). That's just my opinion though. It's like how some can find many games worth buying on Wii, while in my case, the number of games may be quite small (since I'm not much of a Nintendo fan, but I still enjoy the Wii).

I'm done with Uncharted. Time to take out the trash!

j.k. i still use it as a PS2+MGS4+NG:Sigma machine.

Pixeljunk Eden is intriguing, though I'm not ready to shoot my load over it on the virtue that its pretty and artistically interesting.

Well, I'm renting uncharted, I own Motorstorm, MGS4, and UT3. I rented and finished Heavenly Sword. I don't care much about Ratchet. Ridge Racer 7 seems good, but I already own a few racing games, and I like PGR4 more.

So.. that about does it for the PS3. I've also got Stardust, Everyday Shooter, and MK2 (which is actually fun online)

I'm still not sure about getting Civ Rev for PS3 or 360. Probably 360 for better online and achievements.

Oh and folklore doesn't interest me even for a second. Knowing you have to play through twice and it repeats environments is enough to make me not want it. Looks boring anyways. I didn't know there were 15 exclusive PS3 games? I guess he includes crap like Gundam Dynasty Warriors and Lair.

As much as I don't play my PS3, I have a bunch of games for it...40 games (not including downloaded PSN titles)... wtf.

I blame lazy powers and impulse purchases.

Hope everyone has a good weekend!

So I was watching the MGS4 world tour thing that was linked on Dengeki's site... it was awesome.

http://dol.dengeki.com/movie/asx/080711mgs4_1.asx

So yea, I can tell now that Yumi Kikuchi did the mo-cap for Mei Ling. Her ass is bangin.

IN THOSE JEANSSSSSSSS

I have a few PS3 games; MGS4, Ridge Racer 7, Virtua Tennis 3, Folklore, The Darkness, Ninja Gaiden Sigma, and Motorstorm. I had DMC4 and Virtua Fighter 5, but I sold DMC4 since I'm getting the PC version, and I gave VF5 to my friend when I bought the 360 version.

PSN games I have are Tekken 5 DR, MKII, Super Stardust HD, Super Puzzle Fighter, and Piyotama.

The reason I bought a PS3? MGS4 and fighters.

 my PS3 is minimal even though it's currently my most played home console.

he only retail titles I own for it are MGS4 and Eye of Judgment... >_<

in terms of PSN stuff I gots TekkenDR, Payatoma, flOw, Everyday Shooter, and some others... going to get Pixeljunk Monsters eventually...

I've been noticing more and more how much more PSN and XBLA games I have compared to retail titles, and I don't think it's due to price, it's due to the amount of fun I find in em.

I just noticed that since I sold a bunch of 360 crap, I now have the same amount of retail games for 360 and PS3. And only 2 of those 360 games are western developed, Crackdown and Fight Night Round 3. ;)

So I played more of my bro-in-laws game I bought for him.:whistle2:# I really need to find my own copy of MLB Power Pros. I have logged about 13 hours in 2 days into that game. Tigers have hit almost 500 runs and April isn't over. I enjoy hitting like 10 runs in an inning. Boost the score up to 20+ and then hit fast game. I am going to win 162 games this season dammit!

[quote name='zewone']Best game on the PS3 (besides MGS4) is Everyday Shooter.[/QUOTE]

for some reason, even being an artsy gamer (at least CAGs call me that) and indy gamer enthusiast I still couldn't get into everday shooter... the look was amazing, the sound was amazing, but the gameplay was a bit meh... I think it's also the fact that I never enjoyed twin analog shooters much at all.

Glad I'm not the only one. I hate games where you play and play and play to get a high score, then you die, and have to do it all over again. I don't like going through the early parts of games like that over and over again... it gets boring real fast.
