Chapter 4 gave me blue balls. I agree with markman that there needed to be real soldiers there. Otherwise it's like "hmmm, nice re-done environment...too bad I'm not playing Metal Gear Solid in it." The last part and boss fight were pretty exhilarating, but once again, not metal gear.
So what if the "soliders" or "enemies" were robotic? You're still trying to stealth and reach your objectives undetected. It's still *tactical espionage action* or whatever Kojima billed the first one as.
I need to get some Santana CDs... anyone who doesn't like Santana is probably also gay.(

A few reasons. When I move out, I want one back at my parents house (if I got back every few weeks) and 1-2 at my apartment (one in my bedroom and one in my living room). I hate leaving consoles on for longer than 2 hours and by having two PS3 consoles, I can alternate playing them. Plus, I just really want a newer PS3 that uses less power (I don't give a crap about PS2 BC since I never use it in my 20GB). The one I leave at my parents house (if I choose to do that) will have the default HDD while another one will have a 320GB HDD or larger (if larger is available). Mine will stick to 250GB. Both would be used for games, media, online servers and stuff.
Jesus that's crazy.

Just say "I"m a Sony fanboy and want to help them in the "console wars." :D
Why the fuck do you want to buy more PS3s?

I've decided I'm going to finally get an HDTV come black friday. I sit like 7 feet away from the TV, is 32 inches enough?
He's got a marten-envy-complex. Marten has like 6... and all they do is Folding@Home.

I myself have two ds's. One that stays in my backpack/car for when I'm on campus/have long trips, and one that I play at home. It usually doesn't leave the house. It's also convenient, so when I have friends over, we can play multiplayer ds games since I have extra.
Jesus that's crazy.

I may own Two working PS1 consoles and two PSPs, but I don't own every PSP and every color, and I don't have a slim PS2 in every color (I don't even have a slim PS2, although I've always wanted them). I saw this one person online who collected all of them. But in a lot of ways, I want a new PS3 SKU that uses less power (so it doesn't heat up my room as much).
He's got a marten-envy-complex. Marten has like 6... and all they do is Folding@Home.
That's not my plan (I don't have my PS3 Folding@Home).

For having two PSPs, one may charge while the other I'm using. Or I even divide up tasks like have one for web browsing while the other is used for playing games (when I'm at a hotel room. I don't have a laptop).

I'd do that if I had the extra cash. I

The only console I've own two of at one time was a DS. I had the fat boy and I bought a lite off a friend for $35. I kept both for a while before opting with the comfort of the original model. I sold the lite for $70.
I don't understand the idea of buying 2 of the same console. It makes my head all asplodey.
One to 'tinker' around with and another to play ... nah, I don't really know who would wanna buy more than 1 of a certain console. Maybe if it has a major upgrade, but that's about it.
What is Folding whatever.
I like my 22" monitor, but I only play from like 3 feet away, and my room is kinda small.

Breaking news: Mana Knight is a batshit insane sony fanboy!

Chapter 4's robot dudes made no sense and were not fun to fight. MGS4

Once my Original DS lite runs out of warranty with Nintendo (when it made the second trip to them for the hinge crack this summer, I got a brand new 1 year warranty on it, extending it to June of 2009) I'm probably going to mod it and tinker around with it. Buy a new shell and see what kind of neat things I can do.

Well I like my 24" monitor at school. It's the only screen I've got to work with there, so it's good it doesn't suck.

Though when that's at school and I'm at home, my backup computer is scrubbin' it up with a 21" Kogi monitor. I've never heard of the Kogi brand, but my parents bought it a while back without asking me first, and yeah... it's pretty bootleg.

I'm building my own PC and need a monitor. I think I will go with a 22". Are there any great ones that will a do a good job scaling my PS3 as well?

Eh, my monitor kinda freaks out on the PS3. It's never a "supported mode" so i get this warning box I have to close everytime the system changes resolutions, starts a game, or whatever. the native res is 1050, so it does 1080, but has problems. PS3 is much less monitor friendly than 360.
Mega Man 9 :whee:
I need to get into playing that game more (I got it on PS3). I love it, but it's definitely quite hard (I have yet to beat a boss). To an extent, I was waiting to see what bosses I should play in order. :p
Yeah dmaul! Represent!
I own the first four seasons too :)
This season looks like its going to be solid!
I haven't bought any, just watched them all live. Not much replay value for me.

But this season does look like it has potential. Neal McDonough always kicks ass. Great actor.

Go check out the 1up guide for the boss list.

I did galaxy man first though, because I didn't see that.

Got stuck in Yakuza to the point where I couldn't get through a fight (tiny bit of health, fuckers with katanas, no health items) so I had to start back from my last save. I'm only gonna lose like ten minutes though.

This game is going by too fast though.

Yeah, it is one of the most annoying nerd words (deliberate misspellings) in the history of the internet though.

But I'd have to say that "wat" wins that contest.

I've been downloading the Burnout Paradise update for the past two hours. I'm about to just say screw it since I can't play any games while the update downloads.

Just beat Mega Man 9. Wow, Capcom, homerun. Seriously, without even hesitating 9 is better than 1, 4, 5, 6, 7, & 8. I'm going to have to let it sit and replay it to see where it sits along side 2 & 3, but it's definitely turned that highlight pair into a trilogy. The gameplay is flawless from start to finish, and they didn't just ape the retro vibe, they nailed it.

I'm also curious about the difficulty complaints, much like Castlevania on the PSP. I mean, the games aren't pushovers, but they're not impossible. I think your Devil May Crys and your Ninja Gaidens on all but their easiest difficulty are much harder than either Dracula X or Mega Man 9. Very different, but not anywhere near the difficulty of some of those hardcore action games.

Mega Man 9's level difficulty is definitely higher than Mega Man 2, but I think the bosses (with their weaknesses equipped especially) are a lot easier than previous Mega Man games.

I'm not a huge fan of MM9. It's cool because it's all 8-bit, but I have an issue with the difficulty. Not that it's too hard, because it's a challenging game, but because some parts just feel...cheap.

Knowing where to start is probably key, because if you take on the wrong stage you're in for a world of hurt. A lot of the weapons can be really useful in the stages, not just on the bosses.

And for the record, I'm not at all some crazy difficulty loving usually play games on their easiest options cause I am a whimp. ;)

What should I get with the 2.19 I won in the Stride RB contest? I think it's between saving till the end of the contest to see if I can make it build up, get one of the DLC pack (probably 2) of SCIV, get a couple vehicles in Motor Storm, or a PSeye game, unless anyone else has ideas.

Spent about six hours with Yakuza today. I'm somewhere in chapter 6, towards the end methinks. Terrific game so far. Can't wait to finish this one and get the second.

ahahaha! I started playing MegaMan 9 today!!

it's so good! I've only beaten 3 stages tho, and so far what I can say is...

Well, the flaw there is assuming people bitching about the difficulty didn't bitch about the difficulty in Ninja Gaiden etc.

I haven't played MM9, but I never liked the series as I always found it too hard. I just hate hard games. I also don't like action games like DMC or NG (just sent NGII back on Goozex as it was too hard for me even on Acolyte). I don't like hard games, and I especially don't like hard skill based games as I don't have the patience for learning complex combat systems, combos etc.

I mean, I'll play some hard games. I beat Gears in local co-op on hardcore and insane with my buddy, but in general I have no patience for hard games. Dying all the time and playing sections over and over and over just isn't fun for me.

2nded for nearly the millionth time... It's sad when something like this is what I look forward to the most on PS3. I think most people can see that's wrong.

So is Jak and Daxter more of just running around and grabbing power orbs and shit? I mean, it's fun and all, but the story is pretty blah, and if the game is just more of the same I may just return it... Or should I push through it because this is one of the platformers that I need to play?
