I mean ya it is way different, but a lot of people who are into it are RTS players since it started out as an RTS mod, and so it doesn't surprise me at all that almost everyone who plays it is an elitist jerk.

I used to go to the arcades every week or two and rock peeps on the Hyper Fighting machine. I was alright at MK2, but dudes would stomp me at that. I'm actually better at MK2 now than I was growing up.

Best memory is playing a dude in a suit and tie on his lunch break at VF, and costing him $5, he didn't beat me once. He laughed, shook my hand, and went back to work. Good times.

Oh my God, so like, a month ago I got followed by a bunch of people randomly out of nowhere on Twitter, I thought they were spambots because they had no tweets at the time (I get spammed 24/7 on Twitter) and just now I found out that they were all people from the 1-Up podcast/1-Up Oddcast and they had no tweets listed because twitter was fucking up all that day.

I, not being a frequenter of 1-Up and knowing none of them blocked them all and marked them as spam. I feel dumb as fuck.
 
Because I have a friend that's writing for some gaming sites and I asked him to drop my name to any of the real gaming journalists he talks to so I can try to get a writing gig. He mentioned me to them and they followed me. I told him that next time he mentions me to someone to tell me.

I guess I should start reading more gaming sites than Destructoid/Kotaku.

Yeah, Thats what I heard. I forgot how amazing looking GT5 is. I kind of got sidetracked from GT5 and MvC3 because I have to get out equipment to play them (wheel and arcade stick). The GF is out of town until sunday so I'm spending some serious time with them

Whoa, I'm psyched for the ME2 final DLC. I may actually buy it! I've been looking for something to get me back into it for my insanity playthrough... another new DLC to do might just get me jumpstarted after I finish bulletstorm (and maybe KZ3, since I hear it's short).

So you didn't get Lair of the Shadow Broker when it was 200 msp? You seriously missed out then, Frosty. That is probably the best DLC I've ever played for anything. It has everything that makes Mass Effect perfect in it.
 
I really need to get an XBLA points card. I wanna pick up Hard Corps Uprising, and I'd like to get Shinobi arcade, too. Didn't even know that came out on XBLA until just recently. And then Strania is on the 30th...

There's seriously way more coming out on XBLA than at retail for the 360...

I think I will get Hard Corps on PSN, provided I can convince my buddy to get it too.

I wish Strania was on PSN, but fucking Sony has some kind of chip on it's shoulder regarding shmups.

I have so many points just kicking around on my XBL account -- I'm just never sure what to spend them on. I usually like to wait for deals or exclusives, so the Hard Corps Rising dilema for me sucks. I don't want to pay $15 for it anywhere... if I get it on 360, it was probably half price or free, but I'd be less likely to play it. If I get it on PSN, it's $15 out of my pocket... but do I wait and hope there's a sale for PSN or PSN+? :|

Shinobi arcade has me interested though... going to look that up now.
