Tried playing Sonic again, and I'm already stuck, that Volcano level is really hard. :cry:

Also, I'm getting a 3DS, but not till a couple days after launch assuming Amazon ships mine out on time.

I saw some people talking about movies in the last GGT, and I was mildly interested in Sucker Punch, but not interested enough to pay $12.50 for a regular or $18 for an IMAX ticket.

I also won't be getting my 3DS until it arrives from amazon.

And yeah, I want to see Sucker Punch. It looks both really bad and really entertaining. I doubt I'll see it in theaters though.

I think there's just something about owning a game. But it's so illogical unless you're going to play it again and again. Probably just habit I'm used to.

Mortal Kombat will be easy to play with a 6 button stick, right? Not all ghetto-fied?

Also, finished my new custom the other day if anyone is interested.

Currently have no girl though since I stopped talking to the one I rimmaged more than a month ago.

On that note... Dissidia 12 Shit needs to talk less and fight more... and also let me play whatever damn character I want to play... fuck you Lightning.

- Splinter Cell Conviction

Between now and Christmas, my must buys are...

- Portal 2
- LA Noire (debating if I should just rent)
- Gears 3
- Skyrim
- Saints Row 3
- Battlefield 3
- Mass Effect 3
- Halo Remake (if it happens)
- MW3 (if it happens, and looks good)

However, in this process, I'd dump Bad Company 2, MW2, Gears 2, Mass Effect 2 and Oblivion from my collection, bringing my total collection to 30 games, which I don't see as too bad for a system that will be 6 years old.

My rental games between now and christmas will be...

- Mortal Kombat
- Brink
- Red Faction
- Rage
- Batmang
- Duke Nukem
- Fear 3

All of those games seem like they won't have legs to me, just beat them and put them on the shelf games.

After a lot of thought, this seems like the best plan. Let's see if I can stick with it, save money, and break the mentality of "gotta' collect them all."

Seanr, I think as long as you go in with a plan on what to rent and what to buy its fine. Not all games need to be owned. I know exactly what you mean about just renting stuff though.

I've got two preordered on Amazon, selling one though it doesn't feel like I'll profit much if at all.

and trying to decide between Pilotwings and Steel Diver
 
I'll get a 3DS when the Ocarina of Time rerelease comes out. It's a little sad that a 13 year old game I already own is the only reason to buy the system in the near future, but whatever.
 
Yeah, I actually never finished OOT, either, and I do think that the visual improvement is a nice thing.

All I'm sayin' is that I wish they would've learned their lesson from the original DS and had some games for the damn thing at launch. Hopefully, the 3DS lineup this fall can trump when the original DS was getting stuff like Phoenix Wright, Dawn of Sorrow, and Trauma Center all at once.
