Yeah i meant any pre order skin code that you have to wait for an email to get. I got all 3 of the pre order skin codes going to 3 different emails.

Anyway.... 6 hours to go till im finished downloading the 70 minute documentary in HD. (3.3GB)
 
For those that are having problems with the Music dl from the UE version. I just talked to a Sony rep and he stated that the info is actually not online yet for the music dl. The site allows you to redeem but it boots you or crashes your browser (both happened to me). He said that the music should be available by Friday and that the voucher will still be good till then. If my voucher doesn't redeem then I personally will give them hell for it.

So nothing to do but chill out a bit and play game.

Haven't gotten mine either (Phantom of Chaos).
 
So I was not a fan of GOW II... It was ok but nothing more than that for me. I didnt finish it.

Is this one worth checking out? I mean its a AAA title for one of my systems. Getting great reviews and I am interested in giving games a chance.

Would I pick up on it, given I havent played the other two to any real extent? Is it more of the same?

You may like it, but I doubt it if you didn't like the others. It is more of the same story and gameplay elements.
 
Can we say threesome? haha I've been up playing this since I got it at midnight. it's now 1pm.. mini sex scene like in the others .. but this time you walk in on three hot ass girls going at each other.. haha Aphrodite.. the game is Sick! gruesome gory ..graphics are awesome.. storyline is great..


I'm looking to trade or get the other skins for this too so if anyone has any other than the phantom of chaos ..which I have 4 of.. let me know

It's pretty much God of War 2 but 10x bigger. So if you didn't enjoy it, or the combat or whatever, i doubt you'll like this.
 
Hey, awesome - since Sony channels all skin DLC through its redemption website, godofwar.com/skin, nothing can currently be redeemed because the site has buckled due to the tremendous amount of traffic. Nice.
 
I got some store credit... I guess I should go and pick this game up... I didn't want o use it all at one time... but hey; Its worth it.

WHAT THE fuck .....My game is constantly freezing . I then tried to push the power on/off button and it did absolutely nothing . WTF WTF , I have to physically get up ( LMAO ) and pull the power cable out of the wall because it wouldnt shutoff . I WISH THIS GAME HAD AN INSTALL , DAMNIT !!! . CANT EVEN PLAY IT :(

I got ahold of Sony they said that skins/codes(not sure) are not up on the server yet. He said they should be sent out sometime today/tomorrow, but he did say if i don't receive them in the next 24-48 hours, then I should call them back. So if you don't recieve it today or tomorrow then you can worry until then chill out and relax

I called sony about this and they said it might take 2-4 days because new games come out on tuesdays and they do their playstation network store update on thursdays, so I guess we should all see the codes by Friday.




also for whoever it was who had an amazon code that didnt work someone over there also had that issue and they had to get 3 diff codes before getting one that worked.

I decided to pick up my pre-ordered copy today for the hell of it. I'm debating if I want to play it or not though, since I definitely have nearly enough for a GS B2G1($84 on the EDGE card as of now)should it happen.

But I'd much rather have $150 in credit and know I'll have enough.

Hmmmm....decisions....decisions....

Maybe I'll spoil the game a bit for myself and see if anyone posted a video of the first level on YouTube as of yet.

Fight the urge and play it! Play it and enjoy it. AAA titles don't come out everyday.

Beat it while it is relevent, and you can talk about it with the community. That is worth the pricetag alone!!
 
LOL I'm watching the supposed ending of the game now. It seems a bit weird,
since Kratos is in first person view. So much blood though....all you hear is the sound of him meting out his vengeance through the blood soaked screen.

I'm sure it'll look good on my HD monitor. Ahhhhh what the hell....I'll probably crack it open like I did Darksiders, since I made the credit cheap enough to get it.

I still have to play Darksiders. I have been sitting on it for awhile now.

Darksiders is a pretty good GOW clone in many respects and I actually found myself enjoying it more than I did the original two GOW games.

You can get a secondary weapon(Death's Scythe)by entering in the code "The Hollow Lord" on the code screen in the options menu. You can string together some good combos with that and the Chaoseater blade War starts with. The Scythe can be 'purchased'(free) from Vulgrim the first time you run into him if you enter the code prior to going to him. It has some attacks that have a good range to them, making it like Kratos' primary blades.

Of course, once you get the power gauntlets(like Kratos has), those make every other weapon seem underpowered by comparison. You also get a gun, a blade like the main character in Dark Sector used and a portal gun.
 
Big shocker. Walmart didn't get it today. If it was some crap game they would have had it on release date. They said it would be Thursday or Friday. I know its just 2-3 days,but I don't want to wait any longer. xD

Sounds awesome. I just beat Dante's Inferno and thought that was pretty good too. To me, nothing is as good as God of War though.

I will Play Darksiders in a few weeks probally. Waiting on my Hellbook disc! THQ likes to offer awesome things and react to demand slowly. Assholes.

I was tempted to ask if they had any 'spare' UE versions in the back when I went to pick up my copy today, but then I remembered that the only physical item that was included besides the game was the Pandora's Box and I couldn't justify the extra $30-40 for it alone.

Chances are if I did buy it though, I'd probably sell/trade the damned codes for the 'extras', since I have a shitty internet connection and don't wanna wait hours for them to download. Plus, I still prefer the physical media to some dd crap.

I'm waiting for THQ(Digital River is actually the company fulfilling the orders)to get my my copy of Red Faction Guerrilla and the digital artbook disc too. I ordered it the day the promo items were announced(Feb 12th) and I'm getting increasingly annoyed with how long it's taking.

I am glad I am not the only one having problems redeeming the GS code. The only issue I have now is that I constantly kept trying and now it says that the code has already been validated but I never got any confirmation.

They literally had 3-4 rows of shelves behind the counter with copies of GOW3 when I went in to get mine this afternoon.

I'd be shocked if jman said he doesn't have any Gamestop stores near him though, since they're like WalMart where it seems like there's one on every damned corner. Of course, this is because GS bought out how many companies already and just took over their storefronts.

I am a huge fan so I opted for the Ultimate Edition, at $90 (Amazon.com). I also pressured them into giving me a $5 cert for not offering the $10 cert with the UE, lol.

I usually wouldn't pay so much for a collectors edition. I did get the Bioshock 2 Special Edition today for $50 though, and I have to say- you're right on the physical vs. DD. The Bioshock 2 SE is soooo nice. I am sure the GoWIII will be awesome too, expecially Pandora's box- but the lack of more physical items is disappointing.

Too bad somebody couldn't take stills from the disc artbook and print up a physical artbook. I really would've preferred to flip through a paper and ink artbook, but hopefully the digital one is done nicely enough that it makes up for that.

Pull the switch, it's timed. Run to the ladder on the left and put the little stone box from the very first floor. To get the box up there, should be a elevator on the left side as well. Ride it down and put the stone on the elevator and ride it back up. When you do that, do the first part I told you. Once you get the first done, do the same thing with the ladder on the right. You don't need a box though.

Hope its not too confusing.
 
Thank you so much. This is the one thing I hate/love about GOW. Great puzzles but if there are no walkthroughs you could be shit out of luck.
 
Man, I am stuck HARD in this game right now. I have no idea what to do. It's like...this one thing should work, but it's not.

Anyone who's played roughly 6 hours can help me with this one I think.

It's a stupid water puzzle

No problem, I always used guides, on past games that require puzzles, like Resident evil or the other GOWs. It feels more rewarding when you do them with no help. To me the puzzles are not that hard on this game and this is coming from a person that is not good at puzzles.

About an 1 and half behind you, sorry man.
 
Anybody else's PS3 have the fan shoot up to the forth (final) level? This is only the second time my PS3's fan has gone to the forth level but I've never had it go on this quick nor for this long (besides the first 10 minutes, during the entire hour I played it was on the forth level).

I think I've had both of my PS3's hit the final level when I'm playing GTA IV as it gets REALLY loud when I'm playing. Then again, I'm sitting about 5 feet from it, so anything should sound loud at that distance.
 
If you guys have DLC content.. whether it's from the UE or the skins from GC/Amazon/GS/whereever, don't redeem them yet. The actual DLC isn't on the PSN store yet. Sony said that the content will be up on Thursday, so redeem the codes via godofwar.com/skin and godofwar.com/music then.

nah, all you do is redeem the codes and you automatically download the stuff. it doesnt matter if its in the store or not.
