i have infamous but i used the gigawat blades code so it wouldnt be included.
 
That's alright, as I don't care about the bonus code crap, but I'd probably disinclude the "Dem Bones" code since it'd just be a straight up trade game for game that way.:razz:

I have a feeling once B:AA drops to $20-25 new I'll end up grabbing another copy again, so I'll want to try the challenge map, assuming the code is even good by then.

Yeah... no staying power with exclusives.

Long shot, but to anyone who has very limited time to spend with their PS3 over the week can you forward me an unused Amazon pre-order code so I can include it with my PS3 I'm selling over the weekend? I've already pre-ordered from Amazon (will cancel a few days after they send the email code) and will forward you my email code.

Like I said, long shot.

I'm sure I'll have an extra demo code when I pickup the Collection, UNLESS I hear it's a different demo. Which I doubt.

I honestly think they'll get this thing at 60 fps. Right now, there's no tearing, which is awesome. But...there's a lot framerate juggling. Or maybe that's what God of War does. I honestly have a hard time believing that it is supposed to be 60 fps with the demo. But it's still good.

The only part of the demo I don't like is the last part. Somehow Kratos grows twice his normal size for that part.

Smiggity, I saw you posted somehere else that you're getting MW2. Is that going to replace Socom for you, or are you just gonna alternate?
 
I am going to try to trade my 2nd copy of U2 from the TRU sale for it. Getting it for the split screen Coop (Special Ops) Hopefully it has as much replayability as Zombie mode ...Nothing can replace Socom, except maybe Syphon Filter but it will have to be epic and no respawn which is doubtful
 
I just tried downloading the demo last night and after 2 hours it was up to a meager 30%, then a couple friends sent me invites to play GTA and I stopped it. However, hopefully it's like before and I can just resume from the 30% when I have the extra time to spare and I'll just let the PS3 download the demo while I go off and do something else.
 
Just got back from GameStop, demo and Phantom of Chaos skin codes in tow. Looks like the skin codes aren't active yet, but it's no biggie since the demo is downloading!
 
Anyone heard if the Ultimate Edition is going to be actually a "limited" edition? I went to GS to get the demo code and they wanted $10 to reserve the Ultimate so I went ahead and got that one. I'm not into collectors editions at all anymore but if it turns out to be hard to get i've got one reserved and i'll just sell it and get a regular edition.

It looks quite impressive but even Halos cat helmet was mass ass produced.:D
 
Guess the demo reminded me of why I've never finished a GOW game; just button-mashing to the extreme. /yawn

I realize the demo is outdated, but I thought the graphics were a little lacking too. This is mostly because Uncharted 2 really spoiled me, but hopefully they're polishing it quite a bit. I'll still pick it up, but I wish would at least try to improve the combat system. Batman: AA still shocks me at how well combat flows and makes you think.

you cant get through gow of war just button mashing ( maybe if you play it on easy ) but try that on god or titan mode on any of the previous games and you wont make it very far.
 
I just tried part of the demo and I have to say that it's exactly as I remembered the other GOW games being, only prettier. Not bad at all from what I played of it.

I just finished playing the demo and I have to say(in the words of Dethklok): Brutal

This demo has re-ignited my desire to pick up this game, if not at release then most certainly shortly thereafter.

Thanks to Scorch for giving me the chance to play this.

I'm going to probably go up my buddies house tomorrow sometime and have him download it from my account, so he can experience it too.
 
Is it possible to pre-order from Amazon and get a demo code without getting charged?

If not, I'll just wait 'til the GoW collection comes out
 
Found the ultimate edition in my goldbox today on ammy at 94.99, wasn't sure if anyone else was wondering if its possible to goldbox it so figured I'd confirm.
 
I'm also wondering if I should pre-order and just cancel after I get the demo code.

Just doesnt feel right to me for some reason though...

I might, but I hate going to Gamestop. I will be going to one later though to see if they have Valkyria Chronicles (an actual new copy), and maybe they will be nice enough to just give me a demo card. If not, I'll ask if I get it right then when I pre-order.

yeah the gow3 demo code is supposed to come with the game in box. i just wonder if the code people are getting is the same one that will come with the gow collection.

hmmmm I didn't even know I was getting this code from my amazon preorder. Got it in the mail just now. Already played the demo a few time at E3's Sony booth, it'll be nice to get more time to mess around with it. It's a loooong demo btw, like 15-20 mins.

WORD OF WARNING:

You can only claim one skin code per PSN ID! I got fucked by this and I'm stuck with the Apollo skin when I really wanted to use my Phantom of Chaos. Really, really horrible idea to screw collectors over like this because the only warning you get is at the very end of the fine print on their website. Would it have killed them to put in a confirmation box warning us that once redeemed, you can't claim another skin? fucking fail.

Now, I'm not sure what process they're using to actually claim the skin because they may just e-mail you a PSN voucher code. If that's the case, then it's a major sigh of relief because I'll just make a bogus account to redeem the other skin. I just wish they weren't being idiotic about this in the first place.

Someone was kind enough to give me their "Phantom of Chaos" code and it is just a reguler PSN code. Haven't tried to use it yet.

This sucks considering i already pre-ordered the UE from Amazon... I got the Apollo skin code on hand, but the UE comes with Dominus skin. So, according to the stupid little sentence:
