EDIT: Unless, of course, you're calling for "The End". If that's the case, then you're perfectly welcome to stay in this hell. :hot:

Pics of your daughter or gtfo

Ever seen this band? I love the crazy shit that goes on in Japan too.
I haven't, but I'll check them out.

Listen to Maximum The Hormone before? fucking love them.

Should I be *slightly* worried that some the majority of you guys posting in this thread quite possibly have a child sex offender record?
Hey now, consensual or gtfo. No one's going to tell daddy if they wanted it in the first place.

---

Switching tracks here for a minute, talkinrock's daughter, if you're reading this, I'm not really a creep. I'm actually a rather nice, fairly attractive (or so I've been told), 22-year-old guy who's enjoyed screwing around with a drunken Irishman. Really, you can't blame me (somehow I feel you'd have done the same in my position).

That said, you sound pretty amazing (you can't be too mad at Dad for how much pride he has in you), and from what I've heard...

(And yes, you should totally make an account and hang out with all of us. CAG needs more estrogen to balance out the sausagefest.)

Well, I'll give you credit for attempting to make up for your (jokingly trolling) creepiness, however now might be a good time to inform you guys that she's been dating the same guy for 3 years...

But Idiotekque, for *being a man right now* about this whole, out-of-control thing, if she ever breaks up with him, you'll be the first person to know (well, the first person that doesn't actually know her, of course)

Creep Factor Level: 10/10
I, for one, am now officially terrified.
To be honest, I know this is going to sound quite strange coming from an overprotective parent, but considering the fact that Idiotekque is 22, it significantly reduces the "creepiness factor" (although it's still fairly prevalent).

If he was 25+, then I'd be worried...

I'll just tell you that the reason for this is that when I was 16 or 17, I dated a girl who was 21 for about 2 years, then I went to university, and we broke up. On top of this, I don't believe in *any* kind of double standard, so realistically, I'm not actually overly creeped out... although my daughter might feel otherwise).

Although, the Adventure Time GIF makes me *completely* creeped out, if only because you used that old-woman elephant...

This guy is talking about the attractiveness of his daughter WAY too much.
Actually, I don't think I've mentioned ANY of my kids' looks even once (besides their ethnicity).

However, if that was the case, and I was, indeed, bragging about my daughters' appearances, then you ALL should be worried...

Thankfully, it isn't.

You let your daughter start dating at 13?

tumblr_inline_n18wf3EmbI1rvavdo.gif

And here you're worried about trolls on a gaming forum...

Also, your extreme obsession with Ms. Kunis is far more frightening and creepy than this thread has even close to come in the last week...
So putting her name as my subtitle and having her pic in my sig is worse than talking about how attractive and smart your 16 year old daughter is to older guys for pages? Or even worse than idiotekque's appeal to get her to start posting here? Hahahaha, okay.

Actually, I let my daughter start dating when she was mature enough to make good judgement calls, so if that's what you're asking, then "yes", I did let her start dating then...

Also, I never *once* mentioned her attractiveness, as I said previously, and then only thing I said regarding her "smarts" is that she (and our whole family) speaks numerous languages...

Not to be a cynic, but being 13-years-old in this generation (sort of this generation), "good judgment calls" and "13-years-old" are antonyms, regardless of level of maturity. I'm have a friend who started dating when she was 12 or 13, and although she was a pretty smart, mature young lady, her boyfriend wasn't, and not only abused her but also raped her.

Every situation is different, but I was just surprised to hear that. As nice as it is to be a trusting sort of person in this world, you can't trust people with some things.

Does not compute.
Let me re-phrase that:

Overprotective... in real life. Considering this is the Internet, and I've taught her (and all my children) good Internet privacy habits, as well as how to stay safe from the real dregs of the Web—as in not those who are just having fun screwing around (i.e. my mates here at CAG)—I'm not too worried her. :)

This "guy" she has been dating for three years is one of our oldest family friends, so I have complete faith in not only her judgement, but his, as well...

EDIT: Also, I'm terribly sorry about what happened to your friend (especially at such a young age), and you do have a point; in this day and age, maturity doesn't always imply a "safe reality".

However, I would NOT have let her date anybody at that age if it wasn't somebody that I hadn't known EXTREMELY closely, such as this boy who we've known since he was about 2 or so.

So here's the story:

I just read the edited title, and fell on the floor in a fit of laughter...

Then, *You-Know-Who* walked into the room, asking why I was going hysterical, read the title, and said "You are officially the worst parent ever".

So, I talked to her for a minute after that, and apparently and she's been reading this thread for about 4 months now (with no CAG account, mind you), and had no clue what her daddy's username was until she saw it on my monitor just now.
i'm her favorite you can go ahead and say it

You've continued a discussion about your underaged daughter to older guys who are obviously not interested in her for just platonic reasons for over 20 pages. But you're right, liking a gorgeous celebrity woman is way creepier.

I've actually tried to stop the discussion on multiple accounts, but to no avail. So I've just tried to "go with it", while still staying (mostly) mature about this whole out-of-control situation...

Again, "13".
Please read my edited post (on the previous page).

P.S. - I highly doubt that these guys are *genuinely* interested in her, as this, after all, the Web, and we all know that when somebody mentions a kid, especially a girl, stuff like this is going to happen. However, I did make the poor decision of bringing this up in the first place, so...

I just made the mistake of doing a search for mature to find a picture to respond to this with with.

Hey, all, just out of curiosity, I got Beatbuddy in the recent HB, but I'm not really all that into playing platformers...

Can somebody tell me if it's good enough to jump out-of-genre in order to play?

Haven't played it, but strangely enough the story is supposed to be good. Written by the lady who wrote the story for the new Tomb Raider as well as Mirror's Edge.

Well, not a platformer in the *truest sense*, but what else would you classify it as besides a "puzzle platformer" with music-style gameplay?
It's really just an exploratory puzzle game with a light story on top (I haven't gotten too deep into it, but so far it hasn't been anything mind blowing or even stuck out to me). I haven't been terribly impressed by what I've played, but it's worth trying if the art/music from the trailer intrigues you at all, considering you already own it.

Mirror's Edge was fairly decent (storywise), and although I might be alone in this, I found the gameplay to be slightly too repetitive.

Also, I haven't played the new Tomb Raider, but I've watched it a bit, and the story seems to be quite intriguing, so that definitely motivates me (if only just) to play Beatbuddy.

Can anybody comment on the gameplay/mechanics, though? I've played Aquaria, which looks like it has a similar gameplay style to Beatbuddy... All I'm going to say is that out of ALL the games I've played in the last 30 years, Aquaria is by far one of the most memorable of them, in every aspect of the game (the music is my favorite component, though).

I played the demo of Mirror's Edge years ago, but that's it. I own it, but I haven't touched it.

Tomb Raider isn't really going to blow your socks off with story, but it's light-years above past Tomb Raider games in that department (if not every department). Definitely worth playing, great game (in spite of some annoying QTE nonsense).

I have Aquaria installed on my phone and have played a bit of it... It's interesting. I get a heavy Echo the Dolphin feel from it, which is cool, but it didn't really grab me. I'll get back to it one of these days when I'm bored away from the house in a waiting room or something (it's only a matter of time before somebody gets sick or dies, I suppose).

I can't stand quick-time events, due to never actually enjoying made-for-console games, so that will definitely make me steer clear of the new Tomb Raider...

Yeah, I kind of got that vibe too, at first, but after getting further into Aquaria a bit, I realized it's nothing like Echo.

Also, funny thing about Echo the Dolphin... A while back, we converted one of the old bedrooms in the house into an "arcade room", with the goal of ONLY finding arcade games to put in there that:

1.) Were fun for all ages, and

2.) Stood the test of time.

So, to make a long story short, we were searching for an Echo cabinet for about 6 years, until we FINALLY were able to obtain one, and it needed major repairs. We ended up paying about twice as much to repair it as it cost to buy the cabinet in the first place (which *normally* would have been completely fine)...

...only to realize that we already had a "Best of Sega" cabinet with not one, but BOTH of the original Echo games.
