Going to India
Guinevere it's more than that. People have forced left handers to learn to write right handed.
Sure, generations ago. Unless you referring to other countries which have cultural traditions such as we've been discussing.

How would you feel in my position?
Seeing as I am also naturally left handed for several activities, but have taught myself to be ambi-dextrous for no other reason than for my own convenience, I really am not bothered by it.

But it's THEIR CULTURE.

If I'm going to get bent out of shape over it, it won't be because I think I'm so great that I should be shown preferential treatment. Nor do I think it's making me into some sort of pathetic victim. The only concern I have in this matter is that it's a health issue.

I know Reagan was. Not TOO long ago to me.

Dude, chill out. ITs India, not your land, their land. Thats like going to Mexico and demanding that they clean their water, because thats the way you like it.

Or coming to USA and demanding that everyone speak/understand spanish...

For some reason I thought this was going to be a thread on Boy Hits Car.

Sounds like a fun trip though, have fun.

Exactly. You don't come to our country and "No puedo hablar ingles" us because "Yo puedo hablar un poco de su lengua y no es justo."

I have been to india a few times and it's pretty fun. One piece of advice, be VERYcareful of what you eat. Don't eat any questionable foods and if you think the place might not be clean just don't. Trust me on this.

AFAIK, Mexico's water has some certain bacteria from pipes or something that we dont have. Obviously they get acclimated to it since they live there.
