1. Intelligent gamers don't care about launch, the systems will be crap at that time (i.e. the "phenomenal" 360). However if you can get one cheap or free at launch it's a great buy.
2. Only idiots pay $600, others find ways of getting it cheap.
3. The initial lineup matters not, since the system will suck then anyway. What you have to look to is the eventual lineup: MGS4, RE5, Resistance: FoM, Vision GT, DMC4, Killzone, MotorStorm, Heavy Rain, etc. Looks pretty tasty.
4. The current gen systems still have plenty to offer and look forward to. It won't be hard to wait on next gen.
1. The 360 had a pretty good launch. I love FPS's so it was good for me. Call of Duty 2, PD0, and Quake 4 were fun.
2. I doubt anyone is going to be paying less than $600 unless they reserved it, hmm maybe 6 months ago.
3. MGS4, DMC4, and Killzone might be good. Have you seen any gameplay footage of DMC or Killzone? NOPE! Also, RE5 is coming out for the 360, too.
4. The current gen Xbox is basically dead, the PS2 has FFXII, that's it, and the GC has Twilight Princess, and that's it, which comes out the same day as the Wii!
