So I tried BlackSoul yesterday for about an hour. They weren't kidding when they said "black". I get random shadow corruption in it, or if it's not corruption, I'm not sure what it is.. but it looks really bad. Sometimes nearly an entire room will be black. Not sure if its related to AMD drivers or if its just bad coding. It doesn't always happen. Some examples (these are worst case scenarios):

I've liked the puzzles so far, except for the first puzzle. First puzzle had me stumped, had to look at a youtube guide to finish it, and apparently the dude that uploaded the youtube video had to contact the dev to find a solution..
I haven't tested the shooting mechanics much, but the melee seems kind of clunky, needs more animations and more depth to the range of your attacks. My first death came from trying to kill a zombie and failing because I couldn't hit it, but it seemed like I was in range. Didn't have that issue for my other melee attempts though, so it may have just been a single case.
Loading screens are horrible, every time you enter a new room or open a door, you'll have to wait for it to load. Since the game requires a lot of backtracking, this can get annoying extremely fast. Sound effects need a lot of work, I think the dev admitted to using sounds that were available freely online.. They're really bad in some cases. I don't mind the music though, some of it is reminiscent of the Silent Hill games (especially the demo movie song at the menu screen).
Hopefully the dev patches out some of these issues if it gets greenlit, the game has a lot of potential. There aren't many games similar to the older Resident Evil/Silent Hill games so this type of game is kind of a rarity.
BTW, if you play BlackSoul.. don't turn "LetterBox" off. Doing so stretches the image too much off screen making at least one puzzle impossible to complete because you can't click on an object. Not sure if it affects all resolutions, but it screwed things up in 1920x1200 for me.
