I was intending to buy this to keep my moran streak alive (x2 points cuz pre-ordering music bundle), but I somehow gilby'd it and I really don't want the entire thing for 2 dolla.....Maybe I'm really not a moran after all?...My identity is now shaken to it's core!

Yeah...

The Famaze and Larry OSTs have been in a few music bundles. Risk of Rain was basically given away for free though that Humble where everyone got copies. And Potatoman was given out for free to people who bought the Retro Game Music Bundle from Loudr a few years back after 3D Realms pitched a fit and had them pull seven albums. (I never could get the FLAC versions of most of those...)

I think Risk of Rain is the only repeat for me--I haven't grabbed any game music from bundles that aren't from game bundle sites. Not only that, I've somehow avoided all the bundles Potatoman was in.

For those of us who buy these regularly there's a few repeats but the stuff here is pretty good, don't get me wrong. :)

Someone on the chat (Staff, apparently) said that Overkill didn't want to give them keys for the OST on Steam.

The background image is from Asteroids HD. The game doesn't look very interesting to me. My spoder sense tells me this bundle is going to suck, since they usually use the background pic for the standout game.

EDIT: Apparently I was wrong, the background image is from Sirius Online. I'm gonna sleep before I Foxhack anything else

I got an answer from Simon Viklund about about the Payday 2 OST not being updated on Groupees:

@Foxhack We can only update the soundtrack on Bandcamp and Steam, whereas this version is distributed through groupees website.

@Foxhack It's the only way to solve it, and it's still a sweet deal. Payday 2 soundtrack is friggin' huge as of now.

So why not just give a Steam key? Oh, right - the OST on Steam also includes some game stuff. I doubt I'll even get an answer.

Agreed, the soundtrack is only $5 on Steam and has been on sale for $1, I don't get why they were so reluctant to include a key for it when they're in the $2-tier anyways.

I think you guys are also failing to factor in that the soundtrack, like pretty much every game soundtrack available on Steam, is classified as DLC, which means that according to Steam rules, you'd have to own the game in order to redeem a key for it. That would leave a lot of people who don't own that game twisting in the wind.

Well damn... now that they have an apps category... I think they should add a soundtracks category.... Audio files have no inherent dependence on the game.

That didn't stop them from having the Clover character DLC in a previous Groupees.

Edit: If more devs actually classified soundtracks as Tools, like the Serious Sam 3, Witcher 2 and Deus EX HR devs did, so they could be installed separately... we wouldn't have this problem. Or if we had a separate Soundtrack item type like Ashes mentioned.

They could be nice and do both. But like Foxhack said, that didn't stop them from having Clover as DLC earlier.

Ugg I pre-ordered this!!!!! I was disappointed after  I liked the games in the previous Bundle in a Box one and had it buy it full price....going back to not pre-ordering these!  :puke:

I just remember the last one being noticeably better. I forget if the second one was good or not too, but that one benefitted from the $1-glitch. I missed the first one but remember that one being good as well.

 
Glad I wasn't around to see spoder's post yesterday evening and missed out on the preorder window. Probably would have preordered, but this looks terrible. Already have Northmark from an IG bundle, and while the HOG looks ok, I'll wait for the next 1C bundle.

Not many people care about the music bundles. People should smarten up with the blind preorders though, this is the first Groupees BIAB I've skipped.

The dev did give Steam keys, but I think you had to send him proof of purchase or something.

I've bought everything besides the AGFPro bundle this year...yes, music bundles too. And I preordered all of the game bundles, and only sold one off since I had all the games.

The last one looks pretty similar to me, though it was hurt, for me, because I already had Megabyte Punch.

I preordered this one, and it's...not bad. I wish it were a bit cheaper. That description really applies to all of the BiaBs I've bought. That was sort of their calling card.
