Do you have trouble keeping track of what coupon codes are all available for Gamestop.com? I know I do...so I thought maybe starting a thread compiling them all might be useful to more people than just myself. Man good thing I ordered SMG2 from GS for this deal + the coupon from LBP GOTY edition. Oh did I say good thing, I meant shit thing cause the fucking game status is backordered and it hasn't even come close to shipping to me even though I preordered weeks ago. Oh well, Maybe I'll buy it at Walmart and return the copy I get in the mail from GS.

Let me see what I did to make it work...

Added the game. Then punched in 20PRE, then punched in SAVER. Both worked. Then punched in my EDGE card code. Discount wouldn't pop up.

Refreshed the page.

I removed both 20PRE and SAVER, EDGE discount popped up. Put both 20PRE and SAVER back in. And voila! It stacked!

This could be incredibly useful for the more overpriced used games GameStop has (aka the games that refuse to drop in price even after being released for over a year).

For what it's worth:

- Edge always stacks with everything, even online. It doesn't always show up on the "cart" screen automatically unless you've logged in recently (but it'll always show up as you're checking out - I think it starts showing up on the second page assuming you've associated your Edge card with your account during checkout at least once).
- SAVER always stacks as long as the order is > $25. At one point they'd modified it so that all orders over $25 would get free shipping automatically, but sometimes when applying another coupon (such as 20PRE) the free shipping gets mysteriously invalidated and you have to put in the SAVER code to get it back.

So no worries, this is (at least by my understanding) intended behavior and not at all glitchy and should continue to work unless they make some big changes.

Edit: Mario Galaxy 2 is now "in stock" instead of a pre-order on gs.com, so 25DEAL + pre-order is now fair game. And the $20 coupon is still listed.
 
Wtf!? I got in on the Galaxy 2 & UFC promos a few weeks ago, thinking both shipped for $89 was good, but getting $10 & $20 back was awesome. But now I see that my Galaxy 2 is "backordered"?!? How does that happen to a preorder?

Same thing happened to me. I placed my order on April 29th. I won't make the same mistake and pre-order games from GameStop.com in the future.
 
Yep my SMG2 came up as backordered yesterday as well. Hopefully there still shipping it today regardless considering the game is still up for sell on the website so they shouldn't be out of stock.

I can confirm something is off with the 25DEAL code. I was able to put the code in and not have it immediately rejected, but the usual price deductions did not show up and the subtotal remained the same.

Preordered a copy of SMG2 a month ago from gs.com, and mine is listed as backordered too.

I guess I should have ordered from Amazon.
 
wow, glad i kept my Amazon preorder for SMG2 as well, as my status for my GS preorder also shows backorder. unbelievable considering it shows as in-stock on GS.com, but whatever.

That really sucks because I was going to use it with Blur but it doesn't come out till tomorrow. Oh well guess I'm sticking with 2D15, not too bad I guess.
 
Oh and just in case anyone is curious, Halo: Reach has been announced to come out on September 14th. If that matters to anyone lol just relaying the information :)

For some weird reason, Gamestop's site lists the current availability of the product on your order page, not the availability when you ordered. If your order was pre-ordered, you should still receive it. I had that issue with Record of Agarest War, and it still came 2 days after release date.

just got a reply email from customer service basically stating this. Looks like they'll be shipping out copies today for those who preordered.
 
GameStop's order status and tracking are far from perfect. I usually receive a game a day or two before they send me an email it's been shipped (although tracking updates pretty well) and having it say backorder is pretty much expected now for most pre-orders.

That said, I'm not complaining about Mario Galaxy 2 for -25% and with a free $20 GC...
 
Does anyone knows if the Kratos racer code for ModNation Racers is a physical voucher or printed on receipt if you preorder in the store?
 
im trying to use saver to get free shipping with the $10 off code
but it wont stack...i really don't wanna pay 2.99 for shipping

anyone found a way around this?
 
Strangely, despite being featured on the front page, the actual order pages for Alpha Protocol don't mention the $10 coupon like all the other $10 coupon games' pages do.

Are you sure it's for Galaxy 2? I would be surprised if you got it already since the two other codes I've received for purchases came a good while after receiving a shipping confirmation email.

Just received my games from the B2G1 sale. Almost all of them appear to be refurbs; 5 were missing manuals, as well as 2 in replacement cases. My copy of Marvel Ultimate Alliance Gold had a case, but had the regular $5 Ultimate Alliance disc inside. Raiden IV: Limited Edition used did not come with the bonus disc described on the website. My copy of Splinter Cell: Double Agent had a great deal of scratches and some black discoloration around the center ring (a lot of my used games from them have this to some degree; anyone know the cause?).

I took all of these to my local store and politely (key word) went through the issues. The cashier was happy to swap cases on the games they had in stock, including swapping the case and manual for one they had going out as a refurb. He replaced the Splinter Cell copy, agreeing that it was in really rough shape (looked like the refurb was skipped). He also called the closest store that had a copy of Ultimate Alliance Gold and is having it sent to his store to swap for me. After all of that, I decided I didn't really need the bonus soundtrack disc for Raiden IV. ;)

As far as I remember, you still have to have at least $25 in your cart (before coupon codes) in order to get the free shipping from SAVER.

Ahh I see, Well it could be worst! They are just trying to improve on the whole edge card deal they got going on. :)
 
Just wanted to give anyone a head's up, the 2D15 deal seems to give 15% off any titles at least $29.99, not $49.99 like the description states. I found out when i added SSFIV to my cart and it wasn't taking off the 15% because its $27.99 on their website(sneaky sneaky Gamestop) lol.

My Super Mario Galaxy preorders that were showing up as backordered now show up as shipped, but I haven't gotten any order or shipping confirmation emails yet.
 
I can confirm 20PRE died. It adds but doesn't do anything.

I thought this deal was supposed to end at the end of this month, not today?

Oh well, 2D15 for me then.

Well 20PRE and 25DEAL both died today and i don't think either one had any dates. You might as well use CAG16 if you want used games though instead of 2D15 unless of course you want the 2 day free shipping + buying games at least $29.99 or above.

I also received a $10 code in my email today. I haven't purchased any other games that give codes so I'm assuming they made a mistake. The only other code I'm expecting is that $10 UFC free code in the other thread. Any one else getting a $10 code instead of a $20?

They always take like 3 or 4 days to email that they've shipped your order.

I ordered Star Wars: TFU some time last week (I think it shipped on Thursday), and I finally received the email today that it's been shipped, and I got the game in the mail today too. I always check shipping status myself.
 
To everyone saying "It could be worse" for the games you got in the mail from Gamestop online. I think mine takes the cake here. I ordered fallout 3 game of the year edition from the website when the b1g1 glitch was working and guess what I got in the mail instead? A black case with disk 1 only and a manual that looked so beat up I think someone chewed on it.... Yeah buyer beware indeed. Luckily my local gamestop store let me swap it out for a full 2 disk and a 2 disk case too. Felt bad having her do it since there was a line 5 people deep with just her there.

I mean jeez, a 2 disk game should at least get 2 disks in the mail even if they are scratched right?
 
2D15 doesn't work on SSF4 anymore. GS put the price down to officially 29.99 instead of 40 with 10 bucks off saver. So sad face. If anyone gets it to work tell me :D
 
2D15 on SSF4 dead but if you use

15DEAL, VALUE, and your edge card with a 1.99 game you get SSF4 and *game* for 25.31 free shipping! (O yea and the 10 gift credit!) I call that a EX Value Move XP.

I might go for Quake 4 for an actual game i might play not football but you know to each his own :D
