Went to a GS today and talked to the guy there about Gamedays and he said that there will be bins of games marked with % off, up to 50%, they don't have a definitely list yet, or he would've given it to me. He said there should be a b2g1 deal going, but not through the entire thing, likely on just the weekend. Take it for what you will
 
Anyone know if I could buy three games at gamestop used and then return them if, and when the B2G1 happens or would that be ymmv?
 
Do they usually do a midnight opening for this kinda thing ?

Theres like 2 things on there that look appealing to me, and id def like to grab em while in stock

I've never had problems getting games that I want, they usually have stock left over as long as you go within the first 2 days of the sale. The problem is getting them sealed, cuz a lot of the stores will gut all of their gameday games.

I THINK I remember the store I went to last year closing then opening again 1-2 hours later or something to that effect with the sale prices updated in their system.. maybe not a midnight opening, pretty similar though.

EDIT: The store I got Valkyria Chronicles from last year opened at 10 pm with the sale prices activated.. not sure if they'll do the same this year. I went back and checked my post in the old thread, lol.

I may just swing by my local gamestop and ask them about it tomorrow if they know about a b2g1 and if I could pick the games up and return them to get a price adjustment. I was surprised to see they had some of the better games I want and would love to get them all instead of trying to get 2 new games and a lower priced game.
 
So then is this the final list since sale is 3 days away. If it is then it is major fail, not worth going out for the ps3.

I keep seeing people chanting b2g1 free but they're doing buy 1 get 1 free used games online, plus they have free shipping. Why not do that? True they don't have like god of war 3 and ffx13 used online (have both amazing buy them nao!) but at stores. Still other than that the online only deal looks good. The code is UBOGO, not sure when it expires. Take care.

Afraid that expired the day it started last week. Lasted a few hours.

Didn't the buy 1 get 1 free expire the day it started?

It did. Site got hammered and coupon stopped working. A number of orders were canceled as well. The guy who told us to take care is a newbie who didn't follow the thread to see what happened.
 
It didn't really expire the day it started, I think it was the day after. I got three orders in. :D

I don't really care if they have a B2G1 now, I got everything I would've gotten from the sale.

how is heavenly sword still 29.99 and mgs is 14.99? i'd recommend jurassic for anyone looking for a fun, albeit short-lived, time-traveling dinosaur shooting fps. easy plat.
 
I was told by our ASM that we'll be getting the true list somewhere around weds~thurs leaving us only 1 day to setup (more like 1 night) for the sale.

Oh Joy. Luckily I don't work until Friday.

Most of the games listed, if not all will probably be in the sale, or else gamestop stores wouldn't be receiving new stock of these games already.. the prices may not be accurate though.

Only thing interesting on that list so far is Tiger Woods 10 for $19.99. Might pick that up. If there's a B2G1, I might scrounge up something to go with Quantum of Solace.
 
The DBZ RB game could be a good deal for me depending on the price. It would have to be cheap though as you can only play through the same story so many times.

If history is any evidence of future actions, one to two B2G1 free sales happen routinely on the Game Days.

I'd almost bet that Easter would be when it happens as others have suggested. It's an extended weekend and some kids do get Easter gifts. It would be a logical assumption...

... then again I do work for Gamestop and know that the upper guys make anything but logical assumptions.
 
that is a sad little list. i didn't think gamedays could get worse, but they've actually gotten around to accomplishing that somehow.

modern warfare 2 at gamedays is still more expensive than it is right now at kmart.
 
Look at it this way... Game Days as always been a clearance sale. Gamestop has done better at having random sales throughout the year like $20 off Darksiders, a couple $10 off MW2, etc. etc.

So hence less cool stuff to clearance?
 
OK, now I know there is no hope for me. Of everything on the list I am most excited about getting the Hanna Montana DS game for $14.99 for my daughters before thier bday. Sad thing is they will only be four and they already have their own DS's and play Pokemon with me.

But if you love your daughters, don't get 'em the Hannah Montana game. :) At least if it's as mind destroying as the 360 Hannah Montana game.
 
I'm going to suggest Spongebob Truth or Square (Wii) to my 9 year old for $20. He's got a GC gift card and it's gotten good reviews on amazon, so that's a good deal.

But the new price for Persona 4 is 30, so I really hope they are gonna take it down more then just 5 bucks, wasn't it at least 20 a couple weeks ago then they raised it back up.

There are quite a few better titles that the OP left out... like BlazBlue on PS3 / 360 for instance. Also hoping they will knock 50% off World at War.. I wouldn't mind picking it up at $20 for some Nazi Zombies.

More than likely whoever set up the page screwed up and linked to the used prices for some items instead of the new prices, as there are some others that list the current used price as well. The sale is on new items, though. Presumably it will be fixed at some point before Friday. We're probably not actually supposed to be able to see the page yet, as it doesn't seem to be linked on their site anywhere.
