Guess the Game from the Screenshot

I see Tempest and Gyruss. I'm fairly sure one of those is Tempest 2000, if that indeed exists, since I don't follow the series all that well.

Edit: I want to say the second one is from that....gee, I don't know...Asian indie developer? He makes shooters by himself? Blast Works is coming to the Wii as a port of one of his games?
Isn't the last one Space Giraffe off XBLA?

I keep wanting to say number five is N2O but I'm not sure.
V is definitely N2O: Nitrous Oxide. I used to own that game.

Yup, it was made by the same guy who did Tumiki Fighters/Blast Works. It's called Torus Trooper.

Yes, Space Giraffe and N2O are both correct.
I think IV is Tempest Arcade. VII is Tempest 2000. I think Strell is right, that VIII is Gyruss.
All correct.

That leaves I, III, and VI.

All these game remind of this one, should be fairly easy.
I is one of Square's JP-only games, Internal Section.

VI is Nanotek Warrior

I have no clue what III is.
Both correct.
III is Web Warp aka Web Wars for the Vectrex
Also correct.
The dentists office I used to go to had this arcade game on freeplay. Lets just say I didn't mind waiting:
When I was very young dentist had no games, then they finally gave us a 1st gen gameboy with bugs bunny game to play only during fluride time, then when I was older they put a N64 with a bunch of games in the waiting room, but by then it was "owned" by the kiddies.
You're correct with Tower.
That's wrong. It was Shadow Over Mystara. Two clues were the "M" on the hand which stood for "Magic User." He was never in ToD. And the Orc at the shop, which was a bigger clue.

Really? I have the cabinet and have never seen this screen...maybe I just haven't played it enough.

Another difference is that Tower of Doom had the life bar displays only at the bottom, while SoM had them along the top and bottom.
^ This looks suspiciuosly like arcana for the snes :whistle2:k
That's because it is. :applause:

I wonder if anyone will figure out 3. Not a well known game...

I'll go out on a limb and guess the 7th saga , snes?
Since there are no more guesses coming in, here are the answers:

6 is Cosmo Warrior Zero, a Japanese only game based on the Cosmo Warrior Zero anime.
8 is Superstar Dance Club #1 Hits, a rather poor budget rhythm game.
10 is Brigandine, an under appreciated Atlus strategy game.
11 is Sorcerers Maze, an Arkanoid style budget game.
Is H. Vertical Force for the Virtual Boy
Nope, it's Gekioh shooting King.

I might as well reveal that E is Gamera 2000 since no one has guessed it yet.

I honestly hate this person, I mean troll. Nothing worse than a Nintendo fanboy bitching that I'm wasting his time on CAG. Because obviously you have more important things to do right, like bake some zelda cake so you can show it to nintendo power right ya freak. Keep posting your pointless thoughts around here because that's making a great use of your time, forgive me for injectings a little humor into your otherwise pointless life.
Thanks for wasting our time in this thread.
Some worthless responses and a link to something boring on the internet isn't humor. It's wasting time.

Keep on with the hatin', though. Such a strong emotion.
Albert Odyssey for the SFC?
sorry, not quite. it's a U.S. release for a system that wasn't as popular as the super famicom.

Clue >>>
Here's a game from the same developers that's less obscure:
Albert Odyssey for the SFC?
Never came to SNES here, was released for the Saturn here.

As for ykcil's post, is that Shining the Holy Ark?
Never came to SNES here, was released for the Saturn here.
I know, I thought it might have been one of the two Albert Odyssey games released on the SFC. The one we got was was the third and final game called AO: Legend of Eldean or Gaiden in Japan.

I know it's not Shining the Holy Ark, gotta think about this one.....:bomb:

sorry, it's not Shining the Holy Ark. you're getting warmer though. it is a disc based game and it did get ported to the Saturn in Japan.

Guardian War(Powers Kingdom)

I remember when I saw pics of Lucienne's Quest for the 3do back in the day, it was surprising to see such a game made for 3do, diamond in the rough.
Well, that is one of the World Heroes games in the first pic.

The second pic I'm not sure.

Rage of the Dragons in the third.
Actually, you're wrong on both. You need to visit the Fighter Thread more often.
