Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock - 8/21 Dragonforce Track Pack

honestly, i'd rather see gh not put out any more dlc, seeing as they don't seem to know how to integrate it into the game.
as for aerosmith, i agree, it's going to get old very quickly for anyone who is a casual fan or just not obsessed. if it is for $40 or less, maybe... not to mention, no vocals or drums. I'd love to know what the breakdown on price per song will end up being. I wouldn't be surprised for it to be the same or more expensive than rock band dlc.

this latest installment from the franchise with the #1 best-selling video game in 2007, puts players in the shoes of Perry (guitar), Whitford (guitar) and Hamilton (bass), as they rock out alongside frontman Tyler and drummer Kramer.

A possibility for three player multiplayer. I'm just throwing it out plus it would give us another reason to buy a broken guitar.

yeah, you could be right..but let me guess, you can't play through the career online with a friend.
I still don't think that alone will stop this from being a 500,000 or more seller considering no kids who got GH3 for Wii are bitching it being in mono only.
Yeah I'm not saying it won't sell at all, but certainly not like GH3.

I think it would be a better idea as a DLC pack, but full albums is a stronger concept than theme packs IMO.

If it were DLC, and you could pick the songs, then I might buy. Amazing, Crazy, Sweet Emotion, Back In The Saddle, Eat the Rich, Livin on the Edge, Love In an Elevator...all would be great GH tracks.

Wow, I don't really mind the fact there is a Guitar Hero: Aerosmith, and I might pick it up when it gets cheaper, but there is no way I will buy it immediately considering RedOctane royally fucked me over with a shitty guitar and the fact they are whoring Guitar Hero out as much as possible.

The strum bar on my Xplorer just started acting weird. It's strumming down in an infinite loop, and I can't get it to stop. Anyone know how to fix this? I expect I'm gunna have to tear the thing apart to get the problem.

I think bit of a given better as DLC, but a part of me honestly has been spoiled by Rock Band and i think every rock song or album should be DLC on there though as opposed to GH3...plus cheaper!
Hmm...130 on the east coast and "Dream On" still isn't up yet...
Most downloads (Rock Band DLC, XBLA titles) usually arrive at 2AM PST, which is 5AM on the East Coast.

For some reason, its extremely easy (at least on Hard).
Also, its a new version recorded by Aerosmith for GH.

I was just about to come here and post that. I like this version better. It sounds more like Steven Tyler. The guitars are a little heavier, which is good..

..but if the entire Aerosmith expansion is going to be that easy, count me the fuck out!! I five-starred it on expert on the first try with no problems. The whole song is some combination of: G-YO, G-YB, G-RB, G-RY. Over and over and over. One key, two keys, one key, two keys. They added guitar solos to some songs (Nirvana's comes to mind, in GH2 I believe), but not here? C'mon. The entire thing is extremely easy, no one here would have any difficulty passing it on expert at all. I realize that "Dream On" isn't exactly the most difficult song in the world, but it should've been a hell of a lot harder on expert. I'm wondering what easy mode looks like..

Aerosmith is alot more easier then I im.agined and I honestly liked the vocals back from the original 70's version. Also am i just a bit delirious or was the original version of the song awhole lot longer?

Uhhhhh....this is, what, the 4th Aerosmith song to appear in this type of game, and so far this is the only one you could reasonably classify as "easy". Train Kept A Rollin' is a fucking beast.

Technically 'Train Kept A Rollin' is a cover .

Yeah, I know, but that doesn't really change anything.

I'm hoping for a Best Buy deal like with 80's edition of free gift card and wristband. Except gift card worth $25 and more then 30 songs, 50 or more would do nicely.

As much fun it was to play Dream on, it was fairly easy on expert. Why can't they just release the Aerosmith songs as DLC, this game needs IT!!!!:bomb:

Agreed. I'm sure they'll cram 30 songs when it could easily be just 10 or 15 at max for DLC. Chucking it full of "classics" like Train Keep A Rollin' (or formally known as the worst song on Rock Band). But it will sell because it says Guitar Hero and kids just can't not have everyone it seems. I will most likely have to buy it if I Don't Want To Miss A Thing is on there because I love Armageddon. (fuck you ahead of time for making fun of me)

From that BB page:
"See if you can drum like Joey Kramer, play guitar like Joe Perry and Brad Whitford, play bass like Tom Hamilton and sing like Steven Tyler "

...What?

Yo Matt. Naa, they should just put Queen songs in Rock Band. Even though an all-Queen game'd be cool, it's really hard to go back to Guitar Hero's butt graphics and art style and annoying difficulty once you've played a better way...

You're calling Train Keep a Coming worse song on Rock Band? You're basically saying you like Fall Out Boy and a part of me remembers why terrorists hate us...

'Train Kept a Rollin' is not one of their better songs, but it's fine.
What SUCKS is pop junk like 'Janie's got a Gun' , 'Dude Looks like a Lady' 'Crazy' etc. But you just know they are going to include that crap, FTL.

Amen to that.

Here's hoping for Big Ten Inch Record. :)

That Fall Out Boy is easily one of the top20 tracks on Rock Band.

Aerosmith's "Train" is easily one of the top 75 tracks on Rock Band.

My game only has 68 songs...wait a minute. I see what you did there. I like.

Sure, dream on might be easy, but I really enjoy playing it.

Thanks for the title update...I would of missed out on the free dl.

New peripherals, I imagine. Three months and days from now, I would expect them to try to compete with Rock Band. They probably don't want to appear to be behind in the race for a complete band game (though they already are behind).

Now to what I wanted to say...

Really? An entire game dedicated to Aerosmith? Really? It's not that they're not "iconic" but, come on now, I think only hardcore Aerosmith fans are going to want to play only Aerosmith songs. I sure as sin am not buying the Aerosmith game. However, if it comes with the new gadgets, drum kit and mic, and is 60 dollars, then I may have a reason to pick it up.

It's not only Aerosmith songs. Read the press release again people. There will be other artists and songs but yes, Aerosmith will be the main focus of the game.

GDC is this week so we will probably find out if the Drum/Mic support is a typo or a reality.

I've come here to whine, if you don't like whining please skip this post.

So this past weekend I travel with my wife out to Columbus OH to visit my brother, wife and 3 year old. Once everyone goes to bed, we fire up GHIII determined to get the Co-op achievement. I'm sure some of you have already figured out what I'm going to say, so I just jump to the punchline. Only he got the achievement because he was the primary account. What the hell is that? What's the point of giving a Co-op achievement if both people in the Co-op don't receive it?

guitarhero.com knows that I played all the songs. They have my ratings for Co-op Medium including my perfect on "Suck my Kiss"... but I didn't get the achievement. I think this is a major oversight in the achievement planning. Now I need to find somebody else to play with, who won't mind not getting the achievement that I will be getting. lame!

/end whine.

Is this really how it works? My wife and I also completed Co-op this weekend and she got an achievement and I didn't. I assumed it was because I somehow got signed out of my account for a couple songs in the middle. Our intention was to go back and replay those songs over the coming days, but is it really the case that I can't actually get the achievement this way?

Seconded. Just got back in town last night and head out again tomorrow, so I definitley would have missed out if not for the title update.

Thanks OP!

A lot of the achievements in this game are retarded just like the co-op one. Why they force you to play to get some in quickplay over career doesn't make any sense either. I still don't get why I dont have the leaders of the pack unlocked (100% a co-op song). I've done it on both bass and guitar before, neither of us miss a note. Hell I've done it quite a few times but still nothing.
