Half.com Instant Sale (Trade In Program)
mailed in 5 games today. Got tracking on all of them (3 orders).

Estimated delivery is Saturday...boo. that means they wont get accepted till like Tuesday and not paid till next friday
I gave it one last try cause of the Phelps flips, and I got the same. Hopefully it is that fast for them to accept it and payout.
Has anyone noticed a slowdown in the payments for their trade-ins? I sent something in that was received last Wednesday, 8/8, and the payment is still processing as of 8/13. It used to be fairly quick (1-2 days) after they received the games. Just want to see if anyone else has noticed a slowdown. Thanks.
Yeah I had this happen to mine on my first order. They say it takes up to 5 business days. For mine they did the 5, plus an extra 3 hours or so.
#-o D'oh! A week? Well, OK then - I was getting anxious that I hadn't heard in a day. I guess it's good I contacted them immediately then.
Got a reply back. 8 days after the initial reply. Pretty much said they stick by Elovations' ruling, they sent it back (got it today) and there's nothing else they can do. They suggested selling on Half or eBay. The disk wasn't even scratched. It was that wavy, swirly look you sometimes see on :360: games. Dye? Going to get a replacement from BB (or not) and resubmit.

Little update I thought you all might like to hear about...

I had put delivery confirmation on my most recent three packages that I sent in so I could see some progress along the way and know when half.com marked the stuff as received vs when the USPS delivered it. For reference, I live in south central Mass so my shipping times will be relative to that. Anyway, I shipped one package out on 8/6 from 01569 and two out on 8/8 from 01747. The 8/6 package had a delivery estimate of 8/11 which I thought was pretty acceptable, but didn't get any estimates on the other two for some reason. So, I've been religiously tracking the DC labels multiple times daily to see the progress - sometimes it would get updated every day, sometimes every other day. As of this morning, all of the packages got tracking info up to the point they left the sort facility in Cincinnati which is apparently about 10 miles north-ish of Erlanger, KY (the 8/6 package left Cincinnati on 8/10 and the other two on 8/12). Then I re-checked at lunch today and the two packages I sent on 8/8 showed up as delivered, but still no update on the 8/6 package. I found this a bit odd that the latter-shipped packages would show up there before the earlier one, so I decided to investigate a bit. Found the phone number for the Erlanger Post Office and decided to give them a call. Basically, it boils down to the pre-paid labels we get aren't really pre-paid, they're post-paid - meaning they get paid on delivery. So, at that Erlanger Post Office the Elovations people have an account that they put money into and the postage is taken out of and paid to the Post Office as packages come in. According to one of the managers at the Post Office, the Elovations account has run out as of Saturday and they haven't paid any money into the account since then. So, all of the packages that arrived there since the account went dry are just sitting there until Elovations puts more money into their postal account. That could be today or it could be next week, but basically anything that comes in just sits in the post office in a holding pattern for now.

wow.

Sounds like Elovations is having a bad case of the CAG. Probably explains why I have one order with a received status but no payment yet, and its been 4 days.

But seriously, those fuckers better pony up. Worst case, I'm out $25 (trade-in values are something like $85 total) on the games I sent in.

Classic. Thanks for checking that out. At the very least, I would assume stuff would get sent back eventually if they never pay to pick it up. But I'm sure the packages will really pile up after the Best Buy sale so we'll see how that all goes.

I am definitely holding off on sending another package in at this point. I had scraped up another submission but I can just as easily pass on it as well. I think I'm definitely waiting at least until my last one shows received on my Half Instant Sale account.

klimb22 - Yeah, I figured it was a long shot. In my case, though, they still show the game as "pending audit" so it wasn't rejected and sent back to me, which would be one thing. They just pretended like they never got it at all. At this point I'd be happy to get it back (in the same condition I sent it) like you did.

wow, isn't this place in Kentucky and the same place amazon tradein is now using? My trades from Amazon have been in "Processing" for 9 days now.
http://www.soapboxmedia.com/innovationnews/0710eolvations-packaging-northern-kentucky.aspx

They are supposed to have 2.5 times the people that Noram employs. Sent 1 Amazon tradein (credited yesterday) and 2 boxes to Half (no idea where those are!) one week ago today.
Shyt, Same owner, same region, about same work force, probably same post paid delivery crap system. Double shyt. I'm about to kiss Amazon tradein good bye if there is a confirmation about the post paid system for Noram.

so this isn't half.com, but some small company that has no money to pay for our games?? any success stories? or is everyone pretty much waiting for the payments? i just sent in two packages, but i guess i should've read this forum before sendin them in...

Elovations is a pretty big outfit so I doubt they are just folding right now. Still, not good form to let their PO account lapse like that. Chances are they get it straightened out this week.

I'd definitely hold off sending anything else in until people start reporting some progress on those stuck packages though.

Has anyone sent packages directly to Elovations? I'd rather pay $5 for priority and be certain that these get there within 2-3 days than have it sit waiting for postage to be paid on them. I've already got several that haven't been updated for nearly a week.

I have paid for my own shipping straight to Elovations, not the post office thats on the label. Since I live in Hawaii sending it parcel/media mail will take upwards of a month to arrive, so I sent it priority mail flat rate box (with 4 different orders in that one box) all the orders I sent in that box got accepted and paid within 2 days of them receiving it. Of course I used paypal multiorder shipping to make a priority mail label which comes with free delivery confirmation.

Dam, why do some people have to ruin all the fun for us? Crazy to think people have sent 20 or more games in.....

Are you hurting for cash that badly or has it become a game?

I wanted to try my own postage so I can use priority, but their rules stated you had to use the prepaid label. Guess that'll be a lesson for next time!

I sent out two today, hope it goes through. I added delivery confirmation so I at least know if they've got it.

Are you guys adding delivery confirmation at the post office? About how much is that?

Shipped mine last Thursday and I know they r there but half says not yet received. Wtf

Hmmm just got an email that one of my orders has "lapsed". It never showed as being received in my account screen. I wonder if it is truly lost or just waiting for them to fund their usps account. I also have a Rayman PS3 that has magically become a Sleeping Dogs on my account. Of course it has not been paid yet. I see some numbers listed in this thread, anybody have any luck calling them?

What date did you ship it? Their T&Cs state it only has to be postmarked within 7 days of the quote.

Also, to all, when was the last time anyone's package was received? According to Half, the last one they received from me was 8/8. I shipped it on 8/1.

Got to love ebay's double standard. If a top rated seller get's 1 starred by a newbie they end up with paypal holds, yet the firm they hire to take trade ins can't even pay it's mail bill.

The SKU for the game you sent in will scan as Sleeping Dogs. I wouldn't expect the system to get updated any time soon either.

So has anyone got paid this week for stuff they sent in and was marked as received? I know they have a bunch of stuff at the post office waiting to be picked up, I have 2 orders that been in processing for about a week already.

The UPC on the page is the same for Rayman, as well as the game description.

When I go to My Account there's no longer a link for "My Instant Sales". The only way for me to get there now is through the emails I got. That doesn't seem like a good sign...

sign out then log back in again. It should reappear

Man, half's website is just plain glitchy and slow. Does Ebay not give a damn about how well that site works?

My 3 packages I shipped on the 14th were delivered today.

Whoever called the post office should re call them and see if money has been deposited yet!

sorry they got dropped off in the AM on the 13th.

Omaha-Des Moines-Cincinnati-Elerdinger(whatever the town is)

too bad they are probably not gonna pay me for them!!

Still waiting here too. Two packages waiting at the PO, and one game that was received (got the e-mail) on 8/8, which has been "processing" since then.

Called eBay customer service and escalated into corporate in California. No idea if anything will be done and doubt the person I talked to actually has the authority to shake trees. I seriously doubt anyone's going to get paid at this point.
my package arrives in record time to get paid in less than a week and of course this is the time the site is broken.....lame
Same, but the site works for me. My packages still say pending audit. Will probably take a couple of days for it to be "processing"

i sent in three games on tuesday, and it says "not received". but just below it, i see them all as "pending audit".... anyone know what that means?
i sent in three games on tuesday, and it says "not received". but just below it, i see them all as "pending audit".... anyone know what that means?
It says that the minute you make the submission on their site. It means that they haven't acknowledged receiving them yet. If you see that even after the games are received (as I have on one game out of 4 in a box) it means they pretended not to get it.

It will go to "Processing" once they are received.
Cool, So is half Paying out now?
he's saying the site (and links to instant sale) is working. no one has gotten an update as far as packages being received or elovations paying their postal bill. see previous posts for more details.
