Ditto, but so long as it plays for the first week or so, i'll be fine. I'll call up MS after i've played it for a couple days and bitch about the discs being scratched.

Considering the game isn't technically due out until the 25th...it's possible they are still tweaking the servers ;)

Hehe. That would be a good point, but tehy were up a couple of days ago. I hope they are jsut tweaking and not making us wait till release to play. I want to play matchmaking and get some achievements out of the way before actual release!

I wasn't one of the lucky ones to get it early, but I will be getting it Monday night.

Matchmaking has been down for me too.....It was up for about 24 hours or so and it even had a reset in rank and experience....expect the resets to keep happening until opening night. I'm thinking they want everyone to start off on the same level. I was able to snag a few achievements during that time though. Now i'm just trying to find a coop partner to do the coop achievements with. Also anyone find any skulls and terminals yet? I found 3 skulls and 1 terminal.

I think they have just shut them down until september 25th at this point, which is gay because a lot of Pontiac winners get it today, and we want to play it online.

It appears that 7-11 and independent game shops are your best bet.
 
Ok, Engadget has a large collection of unpacking the Legendary Halo 3 edition.

Gametrailers has a 1UP video of them unpacking the Legendary Halo 3 edition.

Both seem to have the Collector's Edition metal tin with the hardcover art book inside the Legendary helmet case.

I was wondering if this was a special Press version sent to reviewers, because I was under the impression that the Legendary Edition didn't get the art book in physical form, it was digital on one of the bonus discs.

I guess I'll know in a couple days, but I was just curious.
 
the press kits contain the limited edition, the legendary one to the public contains the standard DVD cases.

looks to be the pal version though, but you can clearly see that the Limited edition is not in the legendary one there. As for the art book I am not sure.
 
Shit. I only have like 80 bucks and so many games are coming out. i'll wait until the reviews, if this gets a good review then I'm definately picking it up eventually.

supposedly (at least on the reg edition) the average limit each store will have for Pre Orders is about 400.

It's a great day when I can walk into my 711 eleven and get my Halo 3......doritos. Those were strangely delivious.
