I'm pretty sure this is a dig at me, so let me just say that I did my best to explain, and I feel like I was pretty damn accurate. I also didn't explain rank, just how you get new insignia. I don't really see ANY worth to your comment at all, though.

No, it wasn't targeted at you. A while earlier everyone was assuming it was simple and they were dissing it based on their simplified constructions of its processes.

Play by your self and turn on various skulls. Try for double kills, sticks, beat downs and headshots.

I've done the levels on Legendary twice with co-op and going through a third time for meta-game achievements on Legendary with co-op and I never experienced consistant lag except for some very intense situations with a lot of shit going on all around.

It is like 10x easier getting it in campaign, as apposed to trying to pair up with some one in ranked FFA. You can easily get it within the first 5 minutes of some level (forget the name).

thats a negative. i have numerous system link matches in my theatre.
they wont save if you play the games on one 360 then swap your hdd over to another 360.

Get it in the first couple minutes of "The Ark" on easy. They start you off with a sniper and on easy, it shouldn't be hard..at all.

I can't get a single metagame achievement.

Do you have to get 15,000 BEFORE multipliers or something?
I've gotten 26,000 and still not gotten the achievement.

You need 15,000 per player in Free For All scoring. If you want to do it in co-op, you may be able to do it in Heroic Difficulty, I'm not entirely sure. I know that it's possible in Legendary but don't die too much or you may not make it. Here are the skulls I have turned on in Legendary.

EDIT: Apparently I repeat stuff too much stuff I said already when I constantly delete stuff trying to think of how to write a sentence.
 
I was doing coop scoring and each of us had about 12,000.

Legendary with SKULLS?!? UGGG....
Even on normal with enough skulls it can be tough.

Catch + Thunderstorm seems to be constant grenade deaths. : \

I gues I'll try your Thunderstorm/Famine/Fog/ToughLuck combo.
 
My 12-year-old brother went and beat this game while I was away yesterday.

Took him 5:15 hours on Heroic.

So far it's been taking me like twice that much time. Little fucker. Right now I'm on the second to last mission, I think.

How long did it take you guys? You can go to Bungie.net for the total times of all your campaign games, and add them together.

Have you even PLAYED campaign? I got that achievment in like the first ten minutes of the game.
 
Took me a bit longer...It says around 8 hours.

However for some reason it says I spent nearly 2 hours on "The Ark" and "The Covenant" when I don't remember it taking nearly that long.

Perhaps I paused and left for awhile or something.

I would say it was more like 6 hours on Heroic.
 
I just beat it the other day with a buddy of mine on legendary. Im sure how long it took but getting 250 achievement points was sooooo sweet. When im doing the campaign scoring i put like 4 or 5 of the skulls on and play by yourself on normal and you should waltz right through it . ive got two of the achvmnts already first try.
 
I need some help with the last level on legendary.....I'm online right now, shoot me a FR if you would be willing to help. It'd be appreciated.
 
Finally finished it today (heroic). Took me a relatively long time: 6:57:02.

Last level was great, IMO, and so was the second to last which everyone keeps bashing in reviews (then again I've always enjoyed the flood levels more than most... except for those fucking turret-pod flood which are just annoying). Overall I am very happy with how they ended this trilogy.

Didn't find a single skull on my first way through (though I wasn't trying), and only three terminals.
 
If anyone wants to help us get all the skulls and points and whatnot (on legendary), send me a FR and I'll send you a party invite.

All I've seen so far on the gaming news sites have been cool grenade tossing videos.

Also, I don't have money to afford the Legendary edition, but has someone uploaded the contents of the second bonus disc? The one with the remastered cut scenes from Halo 1 & 2.

The Red vs Blue people need to stop making those stupid comics and start making the Valhalla Chronicles (or whatever they want to name a new series that picks up from the end of Season 5).

The meta-game is an overall score of how you do during a campaign mission. This thread on our forums has the scoring information, so check there for tips on how to get the required score for each level. Playing on harder difficulties, turning on skull and finishing quickly all give large multipliers to your score.
The "Bungie recommended" method is playing on Heroic with 1-2 skulls on. I personally did these on Normal with the skulls Fog, Catch and Tough Luck.

anyone know what enables the radio antena on the back of the spartan armor?

my character has it and you can see kinda see it on the left [ spartan's right shoulder blade ]. i noticed it after i got all of the achievements, but i've seen people that had all the achievements without the antena.

how did you get the mark v body armor?
