Halo 3 - General Discussion & Info

Man, I wish that they hadn't announced Halo 3 so soon. It seems like it was rushed. It fells like I've been waiting for years... and the longer I wait the more the hype dies down. But im still very excited for it.

I'm pretty sure they would be, but I'm unable to verify. I was surprised because the website is (still) listing the toy as a Sept. 3rd release and I wasn't expecting to receive anything today.
 
Ok I had to stop at the ghetto gas station today on the way home from work and what do you know they had it.
 
anyone know where i can get the halo 3 desktop wallpapers, of the drawings in the newest EGM?

the one of the red master chief with the rocket especially, i wanna blow it up and make a poster

not to go off topic, but has anyone noticed that it shows if you played halo 2 in people's gamercards. is that new?

I don't want to read through 43 pages, but did anyone try the HALO 3 GamerFuel Mt. Dew Soda?

Just curious how it tastes....seems to be a cherry flavor.
 
It kind of has a hard bite to it at the start then a smooth sweet finish like the cherry doubledown. Its pretty good I'm rather fond of it myself I like the sharp snap it has before it sweetens up :).

Did it come out for sure today? I remember it was supposed to come out back in July, then got postoned to August 22nd, but even that date people were skeptical of.

Has my nerdom really come to this? I've never bought a comic in my life, and I've literally ever gone into 1 comic shop in my life. *sigh* I must get the Halo comics though.

You can always wait a month or two once they release all of the comics, then they will re-release them together as a TBP (book).

Yep, I got it today, it's a quick read but I will be getting all of them as the come out. Does anyone no the rest of the dates for the other 3?
 
I was up late last night and I saw the Gamestop Halo 3 Commerical about the two players saying goodbye to Halo 2 and moving on to Halo 3. *scuffs* ya right, I'm a cheap gamer and not a huge Halo fan (snark if you will but I dig the multiplayer only). I know there are a few diehards who will still play halo 2 even when they have halo 3. So my question is this, will you give up the ghost (Halo 2) for the shiny new model (Halo 3) or what? Let me know, and please sensible anwsers.
 
I haven't played Halo 2 in a while.

I suspect I'll play it even less once Halo 3 is out.

But don't worry: I'm sure people will still be playing.... at least for a while.



This thread title reminds me, though: I have a pre-order for Halo 3 at gamespot that I need to cancel before it's too late.

Search for Halo on the left. Dates subject to change and in comics...they change quite often.
 
I am not a big fan of the Halo series. I can't wait for Halo 3 though. The beta pretty much fixed everything I didn't like about Halo 2. I am keeping my Halo 1 and 2 games, but I will be playing Halo 3 more.
 
I don't know why G4 hasn't gotten Red v Blue yet. They have a history with them as they used them for their Halo day commercial or whatever ( don't ask ). But anyways.

I only bought Halo 2 to see if I'd like the series in the first place. Well, I do. So I guess I won't spend much time with it. The funny part is that because I bought Halo 2 I probably won't have Halo 3 near launch.

thanks. I was hoping they will all be out before Halo 3 since it is the story in between the games but oh well.
 
I played the hell out of the Halo 3 beta and really liked it. picked up the third copy of Halo 2 I've owned thinking I could *finally* get into it and it just wasn't the same. I couldn't put my finger on it though-- is it really that different of a game? well, I guess I never "said hello" to halo 2 in the first place.
