It's still exceptionally hard to compare, due to ticket prices vs game prices being in such different realms of 'affordability.' You also generally don't have people buying the game multiple times.
It's also interesting to look out how profits work for those who are delivering the product: stores get almost no profit from all these sales, whereas movie theaters get a shitton of profits from the reason films are made these days: concessions.
