Halo 3 Reservable at EB/GS tomorrow (Nov.1)

i stopped by eb games tonight because my friend was picking up ffxii and they said they are taking preorders for halo3 starting tomorrow and they only have 25 preorders for legendary available, don't know how true that is but its what the girl there told me
The Legendary Edition contains 4 discs, and the Spartan Helmet will be the actual display case for holding the discs. It will not be full-sized, but more like the size of a cat's head (around 5" - 6" diameter). The official price is still unknown right now.
Well since it basically is the CE edition of the game plus a dumb helmet, I see no reason why you wouldn't just go for the CE edition with the discs. The helmet sounds rediculuos and just plain stupid. There's no way that the helmet will be able to hold 4-discs if it's the size of a cat's head.
woah woah woah woah woah...woah.......woah............you can't even wear the helmet?
THats what I thought. I thought I read full size replica, or somthing like that. Guess not. Definatly not worth it if its a cat hat.
^dont think anything is official yet^

There are no confirmed prices and no confirmed preorder quantities....they'll take em till they say "no more"

I hope the Helmet doesn't harbor the discs....i just want it as a collectible, gimme a metal case for the discs...please.

I hope this time the online co-op thing is answered before release. Other than that I'm not too worried.

Just in case the CE / helmet is limited I will prob pre order the the legendary edition, and I can always cancel it later if it sucks.
well can anyone read german, or whatever that is. its all right there below the helmet.
i can read german but i dont see any german text.

anyhow, these aren't the prices put on the game. they are estimates, and the game is over a year away from release. hard to say anything yet.
legendary- your rich biatch

you ppl stop being cheap...get your fucking helmet.. atleast we got sumthin for next halloween
If you're a midget you have something for next halloween

By the pics isn't it likely the helmet is just pretty much a minibust size thing without the torso? Though if it holds the discs then maybe it's a little bigger but hollowed out more.

Standard edition is fine for me. No need to disrupt the flow of game cases on my shelf.

I'm a freak for Halo stuff. 2 copies of each game, Limited Edition Halo Xbox, couple action figures, the H2 calendar, I think 4 or 5 game magazines with Halo 2 as the cover, the world-exclusive XBM H2 review issue, some promo material, the 7-11 H2 slurpee cups, a couple Halo 2 balloons, HGN, all 3 books (soon to be 4), lanyards, a few posters and probably some other crap I'm forgetting.

Needless to say, the Legendary Edition is mine.

i really they would put out one version of the game that was 30-40 bucks, and only came with multiplayer and then a 60 dollar version with everything. because honestly who actually plays halo for the single player??

Wow I can't believe people actually spend an extra 30 bucks for a head. I'd sooner buy ... another 2 players choice titles in tthe toys r us b1g1 free deal...

who actually plays halo for the single player??

Err...me, I've always enjoyed the single player and storyline in halo maybe I'm weird that way *shrug* also the fact I don't have broadband and hate leet speak with a passion kills online play for me.

On CDUniverse.com I saw that they're taking pre-orders for Grand Theft Auto IV, scheduled to ship October 17th, 2007. I laughed out loud at that, I mean, like that game is going to be hard to find.

I preordered Halo 2 about a year early. Gamestop lost most of the preorders in the course of twelve months- luckily I kept my receipt in a safe place.

It makes no sense to preorder games more than a month in advance.

November 2007????

I was just reading stuff a month ago saying something about March. Has November always been the plan?

Damn, waiting that long makes me pretty uninterested in this.
I reserved this at gamecrazy about half a year ago. Hasn't it been out for preorder for a good while now?
That's the thing, I've never quite understood pre orders a year in advance, or even six months in advance.

or ten years in advance duke nukem forever anyone? >_>

March will never happen. They are not even far enough along to release a single player version at that point. It will be November for sure.

Well, I'm the first to pre-order the Legendary at my store. With only 25 available, that was a gimmie. And not so I can sell it either... I'm a hardcore gamer who loves the special editions. :)

Long Live Halo 3! Got the latest book yesterday and it's pretty good so far...

u preorder the Halo 3 Legendary Edition online too

ps that would be sweet too if there is a headset in it

Here's another pic to give you an idea of how big the helmet is:

h3zh1.jpg

BTW: I preordered my "Legendary" copy today just in case ;)
I've gotta wait till I get my new credit card since my current one expires in April.
It doesn't matter, they'll charge your current card for $25 and then you pay the rest at launch with your new card or whatever other form of payment you want.

I preordered both the Legendary and the Collectors.(said I was the first preorder of h3, at 5:30, and I might get something for it. Bs, just another dumbass employee that had no idea there were even preorders till I kept bugging him and he asked his manager) Can never be to safe.

Now depending on the details of whats included in each, how big the helmet really is, what it can do, and if there are any cheaper preorders or feel the need this wont be valuable down the road, ill cancle.

FYI: Legendary preorder=$25 Collectors=$10 Normal=$5(no need anyways)
What is that thing beside the helmet...
That would be what the Helmet actually sits on to hold your game inside of it.

It has been said many times before the Helmet ISNT life size. If you look at the DVD case holder that the helmet mounts over, the helmet wont fit anybody under 1 years of age.

Am I the only one that sees it unnecessary to pre-order a game that will be indefinitely be produced in large quantities and will most likely have at the very least a GGC deal?

Yes they will. This is a game were are talking about, not a console. When was the last time any of you have had a hard time finding a mainstream, major release game on launch day? And this is HALO 3 we are talking about.
I've had HAlo 3 paid off at GAMERUSH for almost a year now.
Hope you held onto the receipt. If you read through the extremely long Blockbuster/Gamerush thread you'll discover that preorders disappear from their system after a year. It happened to me on 2 or 3 games.

I guess my !!!!!!!!!!!!! at the end wasn't enough to reveal the sarcasm. Dammit.

I heard the helmet is lifesize just like a motercycle helmet. that is why they are charging you 5 dollars extra for shipping call Gamestop.com they will give you dimensions

Unless your joking, I have never gotten a motorcycle helmet shipped for very cheap, so a extra $5 wouldn't cover the cost, if it was really life size.

That must be awesome since kids eat free at a lot of restaurants.
