Halo: Reach
Well it is found in a menu under matchmaking...
Right, but there's also the actual Firefight Matchmaking playlist, so it's not obvious that Score Attack would qualify for Firefight Matchmaking daily challenges. And, until someone confirms that Score Attack does qualify, I'm not going to assume it does.
DAMMIT !! There goes my 3rd broken controller

seriously WTF I hate getting in a game where I get 23 kills and everyone else get about 3 or 4.
Haha yeah join the club man, I actually had a teammate go 1-23 in a game of team slayer. Talk about just handing the game to the other team.

but I just sent an offer to a CAG : My Alan Wake His Controller

I just completed all of today's challenges playing Score Attack. It qualifies.

Wow, what a sad sight. That kid didn't seem to have any other words in his vocabularly except "fuck" "off" "f*g/f*ggot" and "I AM!" A huge embarrassment to gamers everywhere.

Another sad sight are the comments right below it. And I thought reading comments on Gamespot/1UP/Gametrailers was bad...

Broke your 3rd controller...over a match?

You need to calm down, brother.

Sometimes this game assumes I want to perform an assassination on someone whenever I melee them from behind, when really I just want the quick kill. I'm never holding the melee button down (ever), yet it still happens - it's probably done that to me over 20 times now.

Most of the time I just write it off, but it got me killed earlier and actually cost our team a kill on Arena. We ended up tying. Lame.

You sure something couldn't be wrong with your B button, brother? I usually have to make a valiant effort to perform an assassination. All the rest have been regular smacks in the back-a-the-head.

B button?

Anyways, I have the same problem.

They really need a matchmaking filter that allows you to only play with people who have microphones. Seriously, if you're not bringing a group of friends in with you, you'll likely get 3 guys with no mics and no interest in teamwork.
You sure something couldn't be wrong with your B button, brother? I usually have to make a valiant effort to perform an assassination. All the rest have been regular smacks in the back-a-the-head.
It's possible.

Whatever the root of the problem is, it's getting pretty old.

Have you tested a different controller? I end up smacking people in the back more often than assassinating them due to forgetting to hold down the button or not holding the button down long enough.

You have any other controllers you could test it out on?

Possibly switch your controller layout to see?

Assassinations are cool, but it's pretty annoying when someone comes up and just smacks the guy to steal it from you.

I made a thread, complete with 5 actual clips of what I'm experiencing regarding the bullshit respawns in this game. If you have a bungie.net account I would really appreciate the feedback, at the very least even if you don't agree with me I appreciate the bump.

Link

Side note: If anyone has Bungie Pro and wouldn't mind rendering the clips I would also love you long time. Thanks.

I actually haven't had TOO many bullshit respawns, but on SWAT Bungie seems to think it's funny to spawn me right next to teammates on the sniper balconies so I get picked off almost immediately.

It's like a cruel joke.

Well all 5 of my clips are from a single Doubles Arena game. We had the lead then began slowing losing as the bullshit started ramping up. I honestly can't stand that board though, so many fucking dumbass threads about "waaah I made too many credits so I can't make any more today" or "how many credits do you have now" or "Do you like armor lock".

Mean while all the legitimate threads attempting to improve the game get buried under the bullshit. Aggravates the hell out of me.

It's little kids expressing their little kid opinions. Avoid at all costs, brother.

Right after Reach came out, a 15-year-old kid had posted that he got the Legendary Reach 360 console, went to the midnight launch with his 19-year-old brother but they messed up the kid's order and gave his console to someone else, so when they got home he punches his brother in the face (breaking his nose), and while the brother's sleeping he snuck into his room and broke his copy of Reach. "If I can't have it, no-one can", apparently.

Wow. Retarded overreactions on both parts.

Isnt the credit cap at 100,000 per 24 hours? I dont see how anyone can do that in one day. You would have to play gruntpocalypse for like 12 hours straight and get bonus credits from commendations.

And what if someone hit the cap, are they banned from match making until the new daily challenges are up?

Someone hit it thats how I found out, supposedly it's 120k a day and he didn't get banned he just couldn't earn anymore. And yes all he did was gruntpacolypse the whole time.

Something like 15 hours straight of Gruntpocalypse to hit the cap, and then he complained about it.

Just can't earn any more after you hit it, so obviously the next step is to bitch.

I finally got the skunked achievement in Invasion after getting some decent teammates on Boneyard. I have all the achievements now except for the Lt. Colonel and Captain achievements.

I'm praying to every god there is that the community for this game doesn't end up as stupid and immature as Modern Warfare 2's. I ran into some ten year old kid the other day who was calling every one douche bags. So finally, I said "Do you even know what that means?" To which he responds "Well do you?" So I told him, and he couldn't stop laughing at it for the whole rest of the round. I don't hate kids, but the young generation of video game players is REALLY sad and stupid.

Conversely, every team I get on seam like they are trying to help the other team get the skunked achievement.... go back to Rumble Pit to play Lone Wolf style!
I'm working on the 1 mil firefight. Talk about boring.
You could do it in about 10-15 minutes if you set up a custom game and download the one variant (it's one of the top files in the recommended files location).

some say it's cheese, some say it's not. considering that bungie gives you to tools to create a custom game, getting the 1 mil FF achievement in 10-however long it takes you is just something you can either download someone's custom setup (or make your own) and save yourself the boring grind or try it with waves and waves and waves of convi. either way... in the end, your gamer score doesn't care it's your call.

also...the popular download is very satisfying to play despite at least once.

I'm hating Zealot right now. They need to put a limit on how long you can stay up there in the low gravity zone. At the start of the game, it's a battle of who gets the first kill and that pretty much decides the game. One kill and everyone goes up to the low grav zone, and it's over. Has anyone encountered this yet? If you have, were you able to break up the set up?

Generally campers on Zealot tend to contribute less for their team because they aren't getting kills, granted they aren't dying either but it usually ends up being 4v3 in the lower levels. Anytime I go up to zero G and spot one, I'll get a kill more times than not. As for a time limit for being in low gravity, you're a spartan in spartan armor it really wouldn't make sense. Just go up there with the DMR or needle rifle and ventilate his head.

The only map I hate is Hemorrage DMR or Sniper 4v4.

Whenever I play Zealot it usually ends up a grenade fest in the lower hallways. Nobody really goes up top. I hate those modes on Hemorrhage as well. Hell, I just hate the map period.

Also, could someone that enjoys Infection please explain the appeal to me because I just don't get it. Maybe it's better with teams but I don't think it belongs in Rumble Pit.

I haven't encountered it that much since I spend more time in Team Objective than Slayer, but yeah, it can get pretty bad. I think the map is fun and the low gravity section is a neat touch in objective modes, but it can make Team Slayer pretty one sided in a hurry when you have an entire team hunkered down up there.

I used the game type called "Easy Million" and got everything in about 22 minutes. Normally I wouldn't do something like this but I am sure Bungie had it in mind when they designed the achievements. I mean, how many out there could legitimately get 1 million on firefight or survive a set on Legendary without dying?

Exactly. Bungie put these achievements there for you to check out the customization features of the game.

Played my first Invasion last night on Spire. Once you've got the power core, how do you get it back down to the surface to bring it to the goal? Is there a down elevator somewhere?

Normally I go and suicide with it in hand while a teammate grabs it below and takes it in. Granted, the safe way is to aim at the yellow "air pushers" so that the air pushs you up a little for a safe landing.

You have to jump down and land on one of the yellow grav lifts, which will boost slowly into the air you so you land safely. Or you could just jump off and kill yourself. Either way, the core gets to the bottom.

Thank you for the heads up, I got to 300k and gave up cuz It's always sunny was about to start.

I Also played my first invasion on spire yesterday, we almost won it( no bullshit, thanks to me) I got the core right outside the cap point as elites and couldn't get to it again because my teammates are tards, they let spartans take our banshee so it was game over. Then as spartans, I was guarding the core as it was also right outside the cap point, I kill an elite using the shotgun or sword, cant remember, and my team mate starts shooting at me with the force gun, I have no shield and some enemy headshots me and kills that team mate and we lose.

If anything I was impressed at how many enemies/exposion effects could happen on screen at the same time without any slowdown due to the Million in 10 gametype.

I was reading about this last night to on the Bungie forums and even saw it on achive360point's website. Seriously? I think Bungie should even make it so you can get even less points people playing that many hours a day and doing nothing else is not something they should be proud of. Go out and get some sun, or do something else - that is way too much time playing the damn game not to mention the same game type.

I'm also down to the last two achievements which are both ranking. I'm sure I'll get em before Fallout Vegas consumes my life.

Daily Challenges

Gunslinger - Kill 100 enemies in multiplayer Matchmaking. (1000cR)

I Need Some Ammo - Complete a Campaign mission on Heroic or harder with the Famine Skull on. (500cR)

Orbital Assists - Kill 20 enemies using the Target Designator in Firefight Matchmaking. (750cR)

Double Double - Earn 2 Double Kills in the same match in Multiplayer Matchmaking. (350cR)

Anybody know where to find a Target Designator in FF Matchmaking? That looks to be the easiest to complete of today's challenges.

Yep, they are dropped in the ordinance pods. Unfortunately, this kind of challenge is the one that brings out the douchebag in everyone. I've been killed three times already today, because I was the one to get to the designator. Cute.
