Halo: Reach
btw, bloom has been in all the Halo games.

How are you going to post a video from Halo 1 showcasing the assault rifle? How is that remotely relevant to Reach other than the obvious Halo tie in? Funny how he shows the pistol at the end firing every shot in the same exact spot.

Wow, so i wanted to see how many credits i would get just for sitting through a firefight match without playing. I earned 909 credits for doing nothing! But what surprised me the most was the 3 guys who were playing couldnt even finish the game and they were using rockets! LMAO! Time ran out on us.

LOL.

I just got my first perfection (23 - 0) on the Cage forge map (oh how I loathe that piece of shit...) in Team Slayer. I guess I must have struck a nerve because once the opposing party noticed they were paired up with me in the next game they quit before it even started.

...Assholes.

An AR/SMG is never going to be as accurate full auto or at a distance.

Halo's skill used to come from who had the better aim. It's not based on that anymore, it's based on randomness. I can get killed pacing my shots with a DMR by a guy who's spamming. If the DMR wasn't so random and you couldn't kill shit spamming, I wouldn't have a problem with it. Also, at medium range the AR is way too accurate. it's like the only gun that doesn't have reticule bloom. Pistol/DMR users get shit on by ARs even at mid range because it's too powerful right now.

This. I notice it in fire fight, I notice it constantly.

I wish people had a more relaxed nature with online gaming.

Everyone gets so worked up over games and their KDR. Just a game. Starting to think I may have some brain malfunction considering I literally never get frustrated when playing a game online. It's all good, people. It's all good.

Completely true. The AR is a much better all around weapon because the DMR's delay between shots gets you killed unless you pull off three headshots in a row to put the guy down before he can empty his 2 clips of AR ammo into you. The AR chops down shields like an energy based weapon.

IDK maybe its me, but it seems like the vehicles are really weak. I get in a ghost, 3 DMR shots im dead. I get in a banshee, 2 seconds and im falling apart from DMR shots. It never fails, i die so easy in them, yet when i try to kill them with DMRs i can shoot all day and they just drive off. Are there weak points to each vehicle that im not aware of?

Wow i think i just got melee'd and my ghost blew up. Because he definitely did not use armor lock, is that possible?

All the vehicles have a set amount of health. Everything damages them. Doesn't matter if it's bullets, grenades, or melees.

Even if the vehicle is 1 DMR shot from being destroyed, and you have full health, if you're in the vehicle you will die regardless.

I feel like alot of similar overreaction happens after the release of every game. People always make the same points about changes. If you wanted a game that played like Halo 3 play Halo 3. Did people really just want a $60 map pack?
I never claimed to want a game that played like Halo 3. I want a game that plays like Halo 1 but with updated graphics, new weapons, and vehicles and a fun campaign plus the extras like Forge/Theater. There's little reason to change something that was near perfect. ;)

That is mostly true. It is pretty random. My only suggestion is to spam shots as well and only time/pace the last shot for the headshot. I think that's how most people are going about it.

I really hate the vehicles and vehicle health now though. I think it played better when it went off how much life/shields you had. And it's ridiculous how much regular bullets hurt a vehicle. Some guy got into a new Banshee on Spire and I shot it about 3 times with the sniper and it blew up. lol

You figure some vehicles give you a huge advantage, be that fire power, range, movement, or just additional armor. Usually on Hemmorrage, if I can get into a ghost I'll usually be able to get a splatter spree. In all the chaos of battle, unless ppl are trying to focus you down or you're stuck on some rocks you're hard to shoot for the most part. As for why regular bullets seem to do so much damage to vehicles? Maybe because they don't have shields so ballistics are going to cut them down? That seems to be consistant with the game mechanics so far.

I'm glad that the high powered sniperrifle can take out a tank in a few shots (usually 3 iirc), otherwise the guy in the tank can just idle blowing everyone up before they can get into range to be even remotely effective.

Sorry I just had to post again about not getting the flipping If they came to hear me beg achievement. It is soo gosh darn frustrating. I feel like I really am the only person who can not get it. No matter how many times I kill him, IT DOES NOT POP for me. what makes me feel even worse about it is that all my friends have gotten it with relative ease in comparison to the probably 5 to 6 hours I have put into it. smh@myself

Sorry again guys for complaining

Do you have the difficulty set to Legendary? Are you remembering to cancel the sprint right before you land on the guy? It also might help to know that its best to get to the cliff side as fast as you can when you start the level and when you're on the cliff and you're lined up with the spartan you dont need to build up a big head of steam before you jump. Just move back like a foot or two and then sprint forward and jump.
Daily challenge, 23 kills in one game. I just played swat and got 19. :bomb: This one is going to be tough to get.
Get in a tank or grab a sniper rifle on Hemorrhage.

Sure, it always works out this way. Something seems hard, you post on a forums about it, then you do it the next time you try. Yeah i just got 23 kills in multi team swat. My partner on the other hand went 7 kills and 23 deaths :D 5 out of the 12 players actually got 23 kills or more that round.

Rumble pit slayer modes is probably easiest besides tank in team modes--if you're good anyway. I suck and I've got past 23 a couple times.

I gave up after an hour or more, it's not worth it. I'm only missing this one and the one that requires Lt. Colonel

Did you guys try it on the sniper level, right at the beginning after you assassinate the first Elite? I won't deny that it took a bunch of tries, but I feel like it might be an easier spot than some of the other options.

Honestly I'd rather go back and beat Halo 3 and ODST on legendary, since I don't have those achievements, than bother messing around with that damned assassination achievement. I'm OK not having 1000/1000 :)

The assassination achievement is definitely a massive pain. I was pretty freaking close to giving up, but it finally popped, and I was relieved. This is the first Halo game I have 1000'd. I am thinking about going back to try and get ODST, where I mostly am missing all of the FF achievements. 3 is never happening. Halo Wars is a possibility.

With a group we could get the halo 3 achievements MP/META achievements. ODST thread still has people working on FF and endure as well (I think this Saturday)

So i was in a BTB and got on the warthog gun mount, while someone else drove, decided to jump out to get into a ghost, and he betrays me. But i didnt even get an option to boot his ass. WTF?

You got run over?
The only problem with Wars is that I don't feel like playing it online. I played a few games, and I felt like it worked better as a single-player game.
Oh my gosh it's a great single player game but sadly just too short. If they had some sort of Covenant campaign I think people would have given the game more credit.

For some reason there have been times when I got clearly betrayed but depending on the way you die the computer gives you to option to boot or not. *shrugs*
Isn't the 3 strike rule now implemented?
no, had a friend betray me once and it popped the boot option message.

is it possible to kill a whole ship that drops off enemies in firefight? I just dont see the purpose of being able to target the middle of the ships body with rockets if its not possible.
is it possible to kill a whole ship that drops off enemies in firefight? I just dont see the purpose of being able to target the middle of the ships body with rockets if its not possible.
I have never seen the whole ship destroyed on FF but you can shot the guns off the ship so it can't hit you. (never understood why my random team mates never shot at the guns)

I always take out the gun in rocketfight. You can even lock on to it. But I'm fairly certain you can't blow up the ship -- not even with the target locator.

I always go (snipe) for the main turret, it's one of the best ways to earn First Strike along with Assists if someone beats you to the 2nd shot.

Anyone with a suggestion for an easier way to get a triple kill? Before they nerfed the tank I would have said BTB. Some luck is involved to get all the kills in the 4 seconds. Maybe invasion since their are six players.

Invasion, I never found good for triple kills because the other team tends to be in pairs defending different points or trying to storm your base. *shrugs*

Good way to get a triple kill is, grab the sword on team slayer Zealot. Wait for the other team to group up and usually this is where your team ends up dying to 3 of them. Then, shank...shank...triple kill! I've done it on Zealot Slayer since it's running aroudn in a circle, very easy to get behind and flank the other team.

SWAT is another one. Really anywhere that the other team generally tries to defend.

Kill 400 enemies for 4,000 credits is nice, 4 games of gruntpocalypse and your done. 15 assists is easy.... we just had one for 40 assists. 2 assassinations could be tricky, but seems like something that wouldnt be too hard to get. Triple Kill might take a while, and i could see myself not getting it at all. But for only 750 credits its nothing to worry about.

Speaking of triple kills, im fairly certain that the multikill streaks in firefight have a faster window of linking them together. Its like you only have 2 seconds to link kills for them to add to the kill streak.

Yeah, I'll probably pop on and get the 400 kills and 15 assists ones. Other two won't bother with, not a lot of credits there to hassle with.
