They have team snipers, but I suppose they're probably really bad when everyone has the finger of God at their disposal. I'll never forget in BTB, when 3 of my teammates kept shooting me with plasma pistol rounds until the Wraith blew up because they couldn't stand how pimp I was.
 
I was going for a weapon I wanted earlier, and I got caught on something right before it and one of my teammates ended up taking it. So a bit later on in the match he was assassinating someone and I got him back. Yoinked him lol. I love how the announcer says it. Then the next game I yoinked him again, surprisingly these were the first two times I've ever done it.
 
Yoinking has it place, I only wished that when I'm assassinating someone who was clearly about to pummel my teammate they don't try and yoink it from me.
 
Im playing swat, and im halfway up the ramp of the tower in the corner, half the time enemies spawn at the top of the tower, then come down the ramp and kill me easy because im not expecting them to spawn right by me. Or im zoomed in with my gun and dont see them at all. Why on earth do they spawn so close to me. Its annoying, and just absurd.

I'll rephrase, I was in the Wraith's turret. Our Wraith...plus I'm from Brooklyn so "pimp" is an everyday term we use.
 
I was going for the headshot challenge today on SWAT magnums, I like that gametype a lot. The only thing I noticed, was the lag between shooting and the headshot.
 
Challenges aren't bad today, will probably get all but the 10 head shots one (suck at swat). Already got the 400 kills and 50 firefight kills playing some Gruntpacolypse killing time until football at noon. Nice chunk of credits there.

Will probably do Winter Contingency quickly with those skulls on for that 1000 credits later, then maybe work some more on my legendary playthrough.

Yeah last night was a bit odd. I was playing a lot of swat, and ran into more than a few games where i seen enemies warp from one place to another while running. I would shoot guys in the head, and they die a few seconds later. But i noticed two of the laggy games had a team of 4 players who party up (username, username(1), username(2), Username(3)). I dont know if that has anything to do with it. But i really havent noticed much lag until last night.

Daily challenges look easy, and a quick 6,700 cR.
 
So I was playing Infection on Cage and I start as a zombie. I go to the tower in the the corner of the map and wait next to the health pack. 3 seconds later, a human passes by and I kill him. Then I hear the kid's voice "What? He was camping! He's gay!!" and quits. After the game was over, I sent him this message: "I made you quit in 5 sec LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL". What a baby :rofl:

I just played a game of team snipers on the cage, which is one of the worst ideas ever, and I kept getting spawned with the enemy team behind me and as soon as I would die another one of their team mates would respawn.

Honestly, if you're tool of destruction is melee in team snipers, you're a $$$.

I've seen this complaint before when talking about SWAT and it's pretty ridiculous, IMO. A kill is a kill.

The goal is to win a match, not prove how l337 you are with the DMR or sniper rifle. If that means cracking skulls are in order when someone bum rushes me, then so be it, your ass is going down with the butt of my gun.

Sneaking up on someone who stays zoomed in with their weapon is also legitimate tactic.

I'm not debating a kill is a kill nor am I debating the legitimacy of sneaking up on someone or meleeing period. My score speaks for itself in the respective gametypes, its the scrubs that play those gametypes that can't kill anyone with the sniper or DMR that instead go running around double meleeing and still lose.

What I'm saying is, if you want to sprint and melee non stop, why play snipers? Why play swat?

I'm all for the sniper shot/melee combo close range but I don't go running around the map doing it, people who are terrible do that is what I'm saying. If I wanna go melee people constantly and run around I'll go play infection, which I do, if I want to shoot people in the head a lot, I'll go play Snipers or SWAT, which I do. The douchebags need to go be douchebags in the douchebag playlist IE Big Team Battle/Invasion. There's no debating a kill is a kill but you can't debate the fact that there is a fine line between cheap kills and respectable kills and I drew the line, you may disagree but there's still a line.

Haha so when did Big Team and Invasion become the douchebags playlist? I ran into more elitist douches playing Arena then I do playing Invasion.

Just curious what makes BTB and Invasion a playlist for douchebags? Is it because you keep getting school'd there?

Also there is no damn line anywhere in a videogame, kills are kills. If people are double meleeing you that means you let them get close to you which means you suck at getting headshots. That goes for both Team Snipers and Swat.

BTB and Invasion are douchebag play lists because when I want to be a douchebag I'll grab the warthog and run around being a douchebag. Or maybe because BTB is the playlist everyone complains about when some douchebag kills them for X weapon.

If people are double meleeing me it doesn't mean I let them get close to me, it also means that the game respawned them right behind me. Good try though.

Honestly we have a pretty decent discussion and back and forth going on in this thread and people like you really ruin it. I mean I know you like me so any chance you get to take a jab at me you take it, but for the sake of discussion just go fuck off somewhere.
 
Alright everyone, take a deep breath.

Hustletron, there's really no being a douchebag in the game unless you're teamkilling. Driving around in a Warthog is just playing the game, ya need to calm down brother.

For the past month or so, when I've played Reach, it has been at a buddy's house on his SDTV. Just got a chance to play it online on my HDTV today (First time I've played the game in general on that), and there seems to be a couple problems.

First off, the game looks worse on my HDTV than it does on SDTVs, lol. Starting to think I might have a cheapo HDTV. It's a 720p 32-inch, and some games look fine and some games, like GTAIV and now Reach, just...don't. Reach looks all jaggy, from the gun to the environment. There's also a noticeable input lag, which makes playing and aiming a pain in the ass. Seems to be about a half-second lag, which causes more problems than I thought. It's definitely noticeable playing on that compared to an SDTV. Is there any way to fix it? I'm using HDMI.

Just hoping I don't get stuck with a "Guess you'll have to deal with it" situation. The 360 is set to 720p widescreen on HDMI.
 
Calm down? What are you talking about? If I feel like I'm being a douchebag by driving the warthog around( that's not all I do, I'll go screw around somewhere doing something else, that's not the point ) then I'll say I'm being a douchebag. And if I think BTB is a douchebag playlist then that's what I think, especially since I don't get team killed for a weapon/vehicle/no reason in any other playlist I play OTHER than BTB.

Obviously I don't have the same ideals as some people when it comes to playing Halo Reach but I didn't attack anyone or call them out for disagreeing, especially not like boy genius above me in my last post.

If you seriously do that during a BTB or an Invasion match then I wouldn't want you my team and I'm pretty certain nobody else would either. Help the team or GTFO thats my motto.

I haven't had a person respawn behind me in Snipers or Swat yet, and if youre good at aiming thats not an issue. Good try on blaming the game for your own failures.

I didn't see a decent discussion anywhere where you are involved. All I see is youre always bitching about something. I like you? WTF? are you high or something? Haha as I recall you're not the owner of this site nor are you the boss of me, so I'll post where ever I damn well please. I await your next hilarious retort.

It's been like every other game I've played today. I just put in a good few I'd say like maybe 10 or so games.

I'll be honest the more I've been playing snipers, I've had to embrace the melee to survive, especially on close quarters maps that everyone seems to enjoy so much like the Cage and on Snipers pro. I've already learned my lesson while trying to get assassinations and trying to shoot people in their back.

I was chasing this dude down and I wasn't sprinting cuz I didn't want him to hear me and he dropped off a ledge and I dropped off after him, except I over shot it and landed in front of him, I got greedy trying for the assassination and he double melee'd me.

I guess I don't mind it as much but I would much rather shoot them. I really enjoy snipers on hemo though.
 
Comparing the challenge bar from last night, to tonight, its moved up a good amount. (yellow mark is how much it went up from yesterday) If it keeps moving up daily at the same pace, we should hit the mark, and get the cap removed, in 12 or 13 days. So around nov 4th or 5th. Then again its the weekend and a lot of people are playing that might not play during the week, and also the challenges were really easy today. So its just a rough guess. Should hit the mark first or second week of november for sure.
 
I'm pretty confident they'll remove the cap when Black Opts is released and not before, while it'll be nice when the cap is lifted for being able to buy some more armor and no longer seeing posts about the rank cap again...I'm really just waiting to see what Black Friday deals will be available for us.

Should scoring 25000 points in a campaign mission be a difficult challenge?

Depends how you do it, you can turn on skulls for multipliers as well as increasing difficulty. I remember they had score 10k I think it was in a campaign mission and you could do it on long night of solace in like a minute or two of fighting banshees, so you could probably do it there and just finish the mission.
 
I keep trying to get the Like Mike challenge without going BTB/Invasion/Team Obj and I can't do it. I keep getting like 25/26 kills, highest I got was 27 kills. So annoying.

That would be great. After playing Halo: Reach and reading a bit through Halsey's journal, I was thinking I'd like to go back and play Halo 1 and 2 again to re-experience the story. Then I was thinking I don't really want to go back and do it on my original Xbox and that Halo 1 and 2 should be remastered and rereleased on the 360. So, this would be perfect.

Indeed. I had 10000 points by the time I even entered space, and then I reached 25000 after fighting banshees for about 3 minutes.

For others interested, do Long Night of Solace on Easy with ALL primary skulls on.
 
I just played my first SWAT Magnums game. I'm left with a feeling of 'WTF?'

There's just something not right with this game. I can't put my finger on it but there is. Everyone shows a green ping, but there still seems to be quite a bit of lag, or latency, or delay or whatever it is you want to call it with the game play.

I get kills and get killed while behind cover or my enemy is behind cover. Some of my kills I'm like how did I get that kill? It seems like the hit detection is abysmal regarding headshots and when you incorporate bloom into that I really think it leaves/will leave players with the constant reminder of how bullshit they think getting killed is.

People score headshots on me while spamming the handgun meanwhile I'm still trying to time my shots and I see blood come out of their head but no kill.

Keep in mind this is just an OBSERVATION from my point of view from my first game of SWAT Magnums, even though I play a lot of regular SWAT and Team Snipers.
 
Even with green bars the latency is still there. Like on MW/MW2 even with green bars the ping is upwards of 100ish which is laggy on a PC game with servers.

You don't even need to finish the misson or start it from the begining.

Start LNoS at Rally Point Alpha on Heroic with all skulls turned on. Destroy banshees/seraphs until you reach 25k and just save and quit. Only takes a couple of minutes.

Yep, you can even do it before then. On the way up to the ship you can go down to the beach/docks and drop ships keep dropping grunts and 1 elite and you can kill them indefinitely to get points as they just keep on coming.
 
LNoS, all skulls on, and Heroic difficulty. Start at Rally point Alpha. Finished challenge after killing 1st ship in the 2nd wave. Took all of about 2 - 3 minutes.

Being a zombie all three rounds is unfair. Today, I started as a zombie for 9 rounds in a row (3 matches) :bomb:

They have to move the "out of bounds" zone to cover certain areas including:
1) Rock wall/cliff next to human spawn on Asylum
2) Wall close to grav lift on Sword Base
3) Roof of building of human spawn on Cage
4) Roof of building near human spawn on Boardwalk

When I'm a zombie and people go to these places, I hide. If they want kills, they have to move out of their cheap spots.

But what I hate most is when a zombie quits and the game forces me to be a zombie instantly. That is soooooo gay >:[
 
kinda wish they had commendations for close quarters fighting for campaign and ff. I melee often but find myself almost avoiding it sometimes because of the numbers game. (shame on me)
 
I agree with the living dead stuff, at the same though, I go up on the rocks and up on top of the building on Boardwalk, really because there's no teamwork.

I do the same thing as zombie, I don't go after them, especially in the beginning when there's only 2 or 3 zombies, I let me team mates keep dying, eventually they get one guy then it's like 3 or 4 zombies then I'll move in and get some unsuspecting guy.

I know this won't happen but I think evade should be tweaked to where you hold the left stick down more or less depending on how far you want to roll. Evade is a really clumsy armor ability especially when you can jump so high like in living dead.

LOL @ that Team Objective assassination, yeah right, Purple's team mate would have tried to yoink that shit even if it meant killing his team mate.
 
Anchor 9 looks cool. But really... 10 bucks for 2 maps and another forge map? Meh. Ill be playing black ops once that is released. But who knows, maybe by the time the map pack comes out ill be sick of COD.

Wow the 117 mil challenge bar has really gone up. We could see the cap lifted in 4 or so days if it keeps going up at this rate.

Definitely, I'm hoping it has the effect sandbox had on me in H3. Never really made anything worthwhile in Foundry, but had tons of fun in Sandbox.
