so far my blue ray movies collection consists of INTO THE BLUE, HOUSE OF FLYING DAGGERS, STEALTH..... chyeaaaaaaaa! I mean I want to get a movie that has eye popping blockbuster graphics and special effects..it is blue ray after all, if i wanted a good plot, i'd burn a dvd, hehe
On Buy.com, you can still create a new Google Checkout account to get $10 off. There's free shipping on movies on orders over $25, meaning there are lots of really showy Blu-Rays you can buy solo and get the discount, ike Pirates of the Caribbean, Casino Royale, The Prestige, Superman Returns, etc. Unfortunately, there are a lot of overpriced $35 Blu-Rays on that site like Mission: Impossible III, Kingdom of Heaven, and, well, anything that's $35 on there.

hehe, i saw both those movies already...the thing is i wanna buy only blu ray movies that i haven't seen yet, that's the catch.:applause:thanks for replying though..i was hessitant to buy STEALTH at FRY's but the cashier was like oh this movie is sweet, so i'm like oh ok, now i dont feel so bad, hehe
For awesome picture and sound quality, check out Black Hawk Down and Kung Fu Hustle :D
Those were the first two Blu Ray Movies I ever purchased and they held me over for almost 2 months
thanks bro but i been there, done that, i copped INTO THE BLUE and HOUSE OF FLYING DAGGERS from buy.com, total came out to be about 13.57, exactly same price as FRY'S , lmao:applause:

Shame you didnt have a GCO account made before 6/20. FYE.com has House of Flying daggers for $1.99 after GCO.

I'm hoping that GCO comes up with some kind of deal for the stores other than buy.com. It sucks that I can only use $10 off $10 on their site.

Figure i'll try asking again. Does anyone know any places other than Amazon.fr to import French Blu-Ray discs? I'm trying to find Paprika for less than the $41 that Amazon has it for.

For those who weren't fortunate enough (myself included) to get in on the Matrix Collection at Circuit city. For some strange reason buy.com has the trilogy priced higher than the ultimate collection. As all of you know GCO still applies as well. This isn't so much of a deal but you can snag the ultimate collection for a decent price.

Ultimate Collection
It won't let me use GCO. The terms says it can't be used on pre-orders.

Anyone have success using GCO on this item?

Kevin
usually for DVD's you have to wait until its released to use GCO

If you have a Columbia House membership, 300 on HD/Blu-Ray is showing up as a pre-order, which would work great for a B1G1F sale and a fulfillment title.
Hey Link,

Did your pre-order for 300 ever get cancelled through Fry's?
Yeah it canceled so I ended up going through Warner Bros online store with 20% off, I got 300, TMNT, and Dukes of Hazzard. Needed to total $60+ to get free shipping.
I know I had problems with GCO on pre-orders before, but a couple weeks ago it worked on Disturbia on HD DVD
I got it to work on What Dreams May Come a week ago.

I can't get the new account signup to work with any of my cards now. Must be all the same shipping address. I even changed my shorthand name to full name, changed card type/number, etc...only thing I can't really change is address.

Sure you can Street becomes St.
Kenner Street becomes either:
Kener (misspelled on purpose)Street or Kenner St. or Kenner ST

Get inventive ;)

Well everything went through fine as far as creating a new google account, but it said my card could not be verified. My debit card worked though so I guess everything is fine. Checked the balance on the original "invalid" card and all was fine so I'm not sure.
How many cards do you guys carry around? lol. I only got my one bank card, and the other one has pennies inside of it. :p
I carry a visa and a mastercard and then my bank/atm/debit card. I'm thinking of getting a discover just to have one. But fuck American Express. I have yet to find a place that takes only american express so I'll just stay away from them.

Yea i just bought a ps3 and am getting the five free blurays. but im wondering.

Of all the bluray movies out there what looks the best as far as HD Goodness?

Chicken Little, Corpse Bride, Phantom of the Opera, and Underworld Evolution are are good eligible titles in regards to picture quality.

FYE.com has most of the new HD/BR releases for $19.99 each. Now it may not seem like a deal to some, but with FYE paying as much as $30 credit for games that you can get for $2. Its well worth the mentioning.

Also, FYE.com is running a deal for 300. $17.99 for the Blu-ray or $22.99 for the HD version after $7 mail in rebate. Another good one for those with store credit.

Also, House of 1000 Daggers & Fifth Element BR are still $11.99 used (luckily i got mine before the $10 off $10 expired).

Just don't forget that the Remastered version of The Fifth Element is being released this month, July 17 I think ;)

You can mail your old copy in to sony (after calling them) and they will send you the remastered one.

I'm impatient and would hate buying the old one, sending it to them, and waiting for the remastered to come. I don't mind spending a couple more bucks for some instant gratification :p

Not that the other suggestions aren't good, but as far as highly rated for video quality, some of the best are:

Casino Royale
Pirates - Curse of the Black Pearl
Pirates - Dead Man's Chest
Invincible

All newer movies that were probably shot with high quality equipment, so the transfers are amazing. I have about 20 Blu-Ray movies, and I think those are some of the best.

Hope this helps!

Cool, thnx for the link and coupons. They seem to already give a discount when you add them to the cart (15%?), but the coupon still helps :)

Just a couple questions: How fast is standard shipping, how long will these coupons last, and would they ship out all the items at once and charge your card the day they ship, or send out the available items first and then ship out the pre-order item when available?
as far as HD GOODNESS, i can't believe some of you left out STEALTH....that movie is awesome in CGI special effects..
and jessica biel cleavage. but its also one of those movies where the story is so bad it makes you want to get up and leave in the middle of it.

They ship UPS ground, so it depends how far away from them are you. I think I get mine in 3 days. The WBWEL coupon has worked for months. They send out the available items right away and then the pre-order items when they become available(well actually, before they become available, my Letters from Iwo Jima and Matrix came 5 days before street date and my Blood Diamond came 8 days before street date).

so far i have 4 blu ray movies....but dam i'm addicted to collecting them for some reaosn, hahaha, thinkin bout coppin 300...

You need to take advantage of Fry's 2 for $25 deal. Black Hawk Down, if nothing else.
All those cheap BD movies are on sale again at Frys.
You don't have to buy 2, they ring up $12.50 each.
Don't have a Fry's, but I decided to check out the website. Grabbed Memento and xXx for $12.50 each. Thanks.

yep ima go to fry'z later again tonight, hopefully they restocked, but i bit the bullet and bought talladega nights unrated version off ebay used for $9.63 shipped, great steal deal, now a lot of bad reviews for the movie, hopefully i wont be dissapointed...da guy who sold it said the movie was so bad he didnt even want it free wit the ps3 and that he didnt even want it in his collection.
