Imports Links: Exclusive Titles and Suggestions:
Anybody interested in imports, EzyDVD is doing a 2 for 50 (or 25 a pop) sale for Universal titles.

http://www.ezydvd.com.au/promo.zml?pid=647&ddat=1&dsal=1&dper=1

Import exclusive titles include

Rambo 1-3
The Holiday
Total Recall

And there is also non-combo versions of

Children Of Men
Smokin' Aces
American Werewolf In London
Miami Vice

for you combo haters.

The really nice thing is that the AUD is weaker than the US dollar. So I was able to grab Rambo: First Blood for only 27.23 AUD (US $22.39)

What are the details for the B1G1 deal at CC? I didn't see anything in the OP.
basically the sale is for selected $24.99/$29.99 HD-DVD/Blu Rays, but some how the CC computers are allowing any $24.99/$29.99 HDDVD and Blu Ray to be ringed up for the B1G1 Free. So for example Knocked Up and Transformers which are both $29.99 aren't apart of the advertised sale, but they ring up as $15.00 a piece making it B1G1 Free. This has been working since Sunday, and CC has not fixed it so some are assuming this is a unadvertised deal.
What are the details for the B1G1 deal at CC? I didn't see anything in the OP.
Sorry didn't list it in the OP because its been hit or miss for some...
Went to Circuit City in Orlando, Florida this evening and the deal didn't work. Maybe I didn't try the right movies, but I had them scan Mission Impossible 3 ($29.99), Transformers ($29.99), V for Vendetta ($24.99), and Batman Begins ($24.99) and none of them came up a different price. The cashiers were cool about it though, they even looked up each movie online to see if the prices would show differently online.. and they did, about five dollars more than the actual price. The cashier laughed and said, "I love our website."

So no go there. Is FYE.com the best place to get Transformers HD?
Which Orlando store? I went to the East Colonial store Tuesday evening and got Adventures of Robin Hood, Flags of Our Fathers, 12 Monkeys, and Troy: DC. (I already bought TF at Best Buy at opening, and by the time I learned of the CC glitch and went, they were out of hats, so I just decided to eat the difference and keep the lithograph and -$5 toy.) Disappointed they didn't have Blades of Glory, so I may try another store if I have time. (For anyone who cares, my Troy DC rang up as a $25 despite the $30 price tag.)

Oh boy, if I didn't already buy so many HD movies, I'd go crazy! In fact, I'm kinda going crazy that this sale is making all the other "sales" and my Best Buy employee discount seem totally lame.
Anyone in San Diego, confirm if this is other stores.

I checked National City & Clairemont Mesa (someone else confirmed CM) and both work. CM has shit for selection. National City isn't much better but I didn't see Top Gun.

I wish CC had the 360 controllers on sale. I want to buy one, get a GC (coupon) and then use the GC to get more HD-DVD moves :D.
After work I went to the CC in Escondido off the 15. I got there 5 minutes before they closed not knowing they had the "sale". When I told them I wanted to price match with the Fry's ad, they said the had the B1G1 deal! Thank god the BB in Mission Valley was sold out of TF or I would have never gone by CC. By the way I got Tf and Dawn of the Dead for about $29+ w/tax. I am totally loving the extras on the HDDVD of Tf!
The movies scan in full price. The half off doesnt kick in until they "finalize" the transaction for you to pay. may want to go back and try it. I've had success at the CC in Tampa, Fl.
Correct. The users won't have the discount take until the order is totaled. This works very much like the Buy 2 Wii Games deal earlier this year. Users going and just having cashiers price check the items will COMPLETELY miss out and insist the deal "doesn't work" or it "YMMV" when they're just not bothering to read what the discount is/when it is taken. ;-)
blades of glory worked for me. also got:

Transformers
40 Year Old Virgin
The Day After Tomorrow
The Holiday
Add Syriana to the list. I got that and Transformers.

Worked for me yesterday at the CC at Polaris in Westerville, OH.

Got Transformers and Batman Begins for $29.xx
And I had enough in GC to not pay a dime.

They were literally in the process of fixing the problem, though. Fortunately, the cashier was really nice.

I was at the Clearwater FL CC at 7 pm last night and got 4 movies but all rang up regular price and they were all under $25.00  no biggie looking for them cheaper elsewhere and then they will do a price match plus 10 % I hope

hook it up man. .let me know what you find..

The cc in Chesterfield, MO had the B1G1F going as of yesterday. Picked up:

Transformers
Disturbia
Blood Diamond
Somkin Aces
Troy Directors Cut
Shooter
Batman Begins
Bram Stokers Dracula Directors Cut
FF: RotSS
Knocked Up

All for about $150

Awesome deal! Many thanks to CAG and the OP.:applause:

For Bay Area CAGs, the Fremont (Auto Mall Parkway) and Hayward (Whipple) CCs both honored B1G1Free for both BD and HDDVD yesterday evening.

didint work for me today.

transformers
day after tomorrow
FF silver surfer
few god men
fountain
american wolf in loindon

did i use a bad combo.

i have seen other use transformers and werewolf and get the deal.

I plan on going to point loma and back to grossmont today (other 2 san diego area CC stores) to see what their collections are & if they still have the deal going. In AVS, it's been mentioned that this is probably a mistake and the deal could be over by today but the impression I got out of the CC in National City is that this is a legit deal, not a "woopsie" and would last all week. My problem right now is in deciding on movies to get.

Worked for me yesterday with Transformers and NEXT at the Myrtle Beach, SC Circuit City.

Went back this morning (10/17) and no dice :(

Tried with:

Mummy
Mummy Returns
Van Helsing
Constantine

I know others got some of them to work before.
AVS forums is also reporting no goes at a few stores too.

Worked for me last night for both Blu-ray and HD-DVD, too bad they sold out of Transformers though. Grabbed Troy (DC) + Syriana, and 4: RoSS + Day After Tomorrow.

it sounds like the mayhem is now over.... people are reporting over at avs that they are being denied the bogo on hd dvd's..... tis a sad moment for such an awesome screw up!

Ok I can't remember if it's in this thread on not and I looked over the last few pages and didn't see it so I will post it up.

If you have an FYE near by with the 50% off Video Game sale the HD DVD add on is only 88.98. Buddy of mine just picked it up a few days ago.

really??? i could use a drive for my laptop..... hd on the go!
It was fixed today. This thread needs to be declared dead.
This thread is for ALL HD DVD deals, that run. Not just a one time thing

such a great deal...i only wish the cc i bought my 4 hd-dvds at had superman and batman begins... oh well, 4 is better than zero

CC should run this anyways. While, yes, you are giving away a free HD-DVD, it would've made me buy HD-DVDs I wouldnt really have bought (especially from your store)

Mission Impossible, Hulk, Knocked Up. Would I really buy it, not really. But with a B1G1F offer, hell yes!

Why does Blu-Ray always have more of these deals and I hardly ever see any type of HD-DVD promotion. Not fair
Even if it was Buy 1 HD-DVD and get the second one at 50% off, I would jump on that.

Looks like CC took too much of loss on Transformers day that they finally noticed this. Good thing I decided to grab my movies last night :)

I also went last night after discovering the deal. Picked up Knocked Up / Full Metal Jacket / Half Baked / Dawn of the Dead for 59$ I wanted to go back today but I guess 4 flicks will have to do.

Yea, i found out the hard way. Got denied with Knocked Up/Transformers. Ah well. I also missed out on turning $25 into $200 at Blockbuster, so its just another drop in the bucket.

On the front of HD-DVD deals that still work, I know Moviestop is doing their Buy 2 Used Get 1 Free deal. I'm going back tomorrow because I saw 300 for $22.99. I hope it's still there, and that I can find two other movies. This isn't a tremendous deal for all, but it's still something to look into.

Also, I found that buy.com with GCO has Transformers HD for roughly $18 shipped. Good for those of us that didn't get it from CC.

I did very well and glad I took a chance on 10/16 on this deal working!

Evan Almighty 15.00
Transformers 15.00
Fast and the Furious 12.50
Chronicles of Riddick 12.50
Troy D-Cut 12.50
Bourne Identity 12.50

Total $87
Just read that starting on the 10/21-10/27, Best Buy will be giving the Heroes Season 1 HD DVD set free with the purchase of a 360 add-on drive purchase. I was trying to decide on a standalone or the addon but this is going to be the deciding factor. Read it on AVSForums.

Confirmed: Link to the BB ad from Slickdeals. Deal is on page 4 of the ad scans.

That's awesome...I'll update the OP thanks.

figures... I'm shocked at this deal considering Best Buy charges 100 bucks for Heroes... oh well, at least I got 300 for free.

That's amazing... and I imagine it still also comes with Kong, and the 5 free movie mail-in.

Probably the best deal there's been on an HD-DVD player, period.

Oh ofcourse...I should mention that in the OP as well.

What an awesome deal if my 360 did not break so much I would be all over this. I can hope that amazon comes out with this deal also. This is only reason I want an Hd-dvd player. If I pm at CC i'll get 10% off also I think.

This is especially nice since you can just plug this baby in and make an HTPC! =D

Thumbs up to Bestbuy on this one, really gotta give it to them
