Nope...its only online. You could print out the page or have them go to www.bestbuy.com but since it shows up as sold out it probobly won't work.
 
Hopefully this deal will shut up the electronics manager at my Wal-mart. She tells everyone looking at HD movies that "HD DVD is fake Blu-Ray". With a mad mob at 7AM tomorrow, I doubt she can spread lies to everyone.

You know based on name I thought HD DVD would be simple to understand. I literally have had or overheard at least 4 separate people ask what is HD DVD? Does it work in a DVD player, can I burn HD DVD.... The sad part of the thing is they had heard about Blu Ray and one even mentioned how it looks so good its almost 3D...

I would have thought the opposite reaction would happen. I figured being High Def DVD that it would be an easy to understand thing... I guess its too close of a name to distinguish where Blu Ray is new and they get it.
 
I can't find any of the players in my tri-state area (DC, MD, VA). I started checking other states and it looks like it is sold out everywhere. Can that be?
 
This stinks, I have a class tomorrow morning and I doubt that they will have any left by the time I am able to go to walmart as this "secret" sale isn't so secret anymore.

i want to go pick it up today and take it back tomorrow to get the sale price. i was just wondering how wal-mart is with doing that. does the product have to still be sealed? cause im not gonna be able to just have the box sitting there all alone haha.

It's kind of hit or mis, wal mart does not have to price match it but you could return then re buy possibly. I think you could but don't bank on it .

This isn't related to the HD-A2 but Best Buy has Knocked up and Evan Almighty for 19.99 with free shipping. They also have a bunch of movies for 17.99 but they seem to be the same ones as the Walmart sale.

I got the 360 hd-dvd add on the first day it came out. I missed out on everything.

If I knew about the $100 sale in time for the hd-a2 I would have jump on it.

If shipping wasn't expensive and If I had time and if it was allowed, I'd so buy 10 HD DVD players tomorrow just so that I could sell at cost + shipping to the CAG's who wanted them.

And getting heroes right off was very nice. I think the extra $80 was worth it. Of course I have no 360 so I had to drop another $100 on a video card, and until I get a dedicated HTPC going on, I'll be doing a lot of moving my box around...

I sort of regret buying the 360 add-on too but with Ultimate Matrix+Planet Earth+Heroes S1 for free makes up for it.
Hopefully, the 360 add-on sees a price drop soon so I can do a price adjustment at BB.
 
i have two questions 1. hows the quality on the A2 stand alone ? 2. out of the the HD list which movies are really good & packed with special features, im a huge special features guy & i wanna get the one with the most special feature packed in there

With hd-dvd players at 100$, is there really a way for blu-ray to win the format war?

I was not interested in the format war....but for a hd-dvd player for that price, I am already a supporter of hd-dvd movies.....hhehehe......

EDIT: My walmart (the guilford, ct one) claims to "not carry" hd dvd players...

thank GOD i live up here in hickville...my walmart will apparently be getting 3 of the toshiba a2's in tomorrow...so im gonna get there at like 6:30 and wait it out...:whistle2:D BRING MY POP TART! WOOOOOOOO
