Heroes Volume 3: Villains
Season 2 wasn't even that bad.
The biggest problem was it seemed to have a hard time focusing. With the strike and all I'm giving the show a mulligan and looking forward to the new season
Director i believe, maybe writer.
Oh, awesome. I do enjoy me some Kevin Smith.

*ponders*

Oh right. I think I remember his appearance at... SDCC this year. I think. :whistle2:k

Well, they set up a lot of stuff that they aren't going to deliver on. From what I understand, all the emphasis they built with the picture is going to be for naught considering they made Adam & Mr. Petrelli two seperate people (making 13, while there is only 12 in the picture).

My guess is that it'll go into the cellar and they'll never mention the picture again.

I thought Season 2 was a complete mess. Maybe the writer's strike messed it up a little, but it felt like they didn't put any thought into some of it. I am not sure which episode, but I remember at one point, the cheerleader was in Texas and the electic chick was in NY and then later that day, they were fighting. There was no transition to show how or why the electric chick went to Texas.

and I can't stand Mohinder's bad acting. It wasn't as noticeable in Season 2, but in season 1 it was laughable.

Overall the show is better than most crap on TV, though.

it looks like nathan is alive somehow, he's in the season 3 preview screens at least

I bet he's probably alive for the same reason another character is alive.
Mr. Bennett was saved using a transfusion of Claire's blood

IMO I thought that Season 2 was good, but did drag at points.

3 hr premiere huh? Looks like I'll be recording that and watching later so I can fast forward through some stuff!

Wasn't Elle sent to Texas to go watch over Claire and her family after they thought Noah had died? I could swear she had a conversation with her dad about that.

I actually liked Season 2. Less of Nikki is always a good thing.

I can see where they made a few mistakes, but I think the biggest was how fractured the season was. Hiro spent most of it off by himself, and anyone who wasn't in New York was hundreds or thousands of miles away, and their storylines usually weren't integrated well into what was supposed to be the main plot arc. Separating the villains from the rest of the characters for so long probably wasn't a good idea, and having
Sylar sans powers
until the very last scene of the final episode took away a lot of his storyline significance. I know why they did that (
in case the Star Trek movie took Zachary Quinto away for too long, they needed a way to write him out temporarily
), but I'm sure they could've found another way.

After last season, I'd love to see
Maya
become a villain (though I don't think the show would go that route).

She did, when the family was at the beach putting "Noah's ashes" in the sea, Elle was in a car watching them with a slurpee in hand and when the family saw her. She spilled it and could not get away because she also had a broken arm or soemthing. Then Claire mentioned something about going public with her powers and Bob didn't want that then....i'm drawing a blank
Just read a major spoiler #-o
Do share. I have a weird type of amnesia where I forget about spoilers whilst watching TV and movies.

read that... (possible spoiler alert!)
Sylar finds Claire and that he cuts open her head and gets her power. He is amazed that she is still alive. She says "Aren't you going to eat my brain?". It was something along those lines.

In the previews we see future peter (with scar) and Claire holding a gun at him, it mentioned that Sylar took her power and that she survived it and that is why she is there holding a gun at peter (lol, hope that made sense)

Maya...

Is Mohinder's love interest in Season 3. She helps him discover that you can get super powers just by injecting genes from someone with powers into your blood, Mohinder gives himself super strength.

Ive informed everyone at my job that if anyone, whoever they may be, makes me late for the season premiere, there would be hell to pay for that person lol..

Safe to say I can shake off the 1st hr as the 2nd 2 will be most important.

Can't wait for the episode tonight. Will skip the recap to watch Terminator: TSCC, would be pointless for me since I just watched seasons 1 & 2 for the first time over the past month.

season 1 was awesome. Season 2 started and ended good the middle dragged on and was sub-par. Cant wait to see how this season turns out

Forget Dania Ramirez, give me speedy Brea Grant anytime
Meh, i'm with Suresh here, Dania wins.

So then
Peter, Nathan, and Sylar are brothers/half brothers.
Gotta admit, i didn't see that coming, their mother is a fucking bitch.
"Sylar, I am your mother!"
I know!!! I was so shocked at that moment!! It explains the behaviour of the mom somewhat though ...

And what an AWESOME premiere! With only one REAL bad guy before (Sylar) and now there are like 13 or more!! Wow!! :bouncy:
That premiere was better then the entirety of Season 2
Concurred exponentially.

"Wakarimasen." - Hiro

"Eat your brain? Now that's just disgusting." - Sylar

The Mohinder/Maya parts were painful. I loved his Irish Jig after he injected himself with powers and how his lips didn't move when the voiceover played while he climbed the wall.

Hadouken!

And, great holy ghost, Sylar's the third Summers brother! O_O;;

so much praise for such a mediocre premiere...

so now we have ...

nikki suddenly being iceman
a linderman ghost
future peter aka cable
the brotherhood is on the loose with the german aka magneto and that guy with the blue flames playing pyro
some random cute girl thats fast just to keep hiro involved in the story
maya making out with scabby mahgee
parkman getting beamed to africa and just happening to fall in the lap of the a random african shaman that has powers and can see the future, oh and "painted" it in africa and new york
and lets not forget the biggest shocker of them all ... sylar is nathan/peters brother and claires uncle... ZOMG!!!!

at least kristin bell is pretty as ever.

heres how i see the meeting for season 3 going...

executive: hey guys we really dropped the ball last season so how are you going to fix it?

writer #1: lets throw a clusterfuck of new people out there and hope nobody remembers

executive: im listening...

writer #2: yeah, we can have a guy with magnets and ice and maybe someone really fast...

executive: sounds played

writer #1: well make one of them a hot chick and ali larter can wear lingerie!

executive: i love it! :leaves room:

writer #2: hey, what are we going to do after that?

writer #1: well, we just keep this up for 20 or so episodes then we can work out the details next summer, if were lucky the screen actors guild will go on strike, and then we can take another 9 months off.

writer #2: alright, if you say so. hey i have to go to the bathroom, do you have those headshots of kristin bell?

writer #1: second drawer on the left

im still going to watch, but im not sold on season 3 by any means.
...lets throw a clusterfuck of new people out there and hope nobody remembers ...
I think (although I may not be remembering this correctly) the show was originally designed to have a myriad of new characters every season ... they originally wanted to move through characters and have some die off while others came in ... ... I actually enjoy that concept as long as they keep the regulars I like ... and yes Nicki is my least favorite storyline (so I was actually hoping she was really dead ...); but her character seems to be improving this season at least .

Have to agree with you.
There were too many new people thrown into the mix in one/two episodes. Seems like new people with more than 30 seconds airtime has some type of superpower.

Well, I liked the first two episodes. Yes, there were a lot of happenings that left us with a lot of questions. While not as balanced as Supernatural's season premiere, it was certainly not a boring affair. I'd rather have a slightly busy season premiere that draws interest than a real boring season premiere that draws disgust. ;)
