Fable 3 will be a disappointment, just like Fable and Fable 2 were. We get all excited about how amazing and open the world will be, then we realize that it's about 25% of what Peter Molyneux promised.

Just saw this on GAF ... WW2 pictures layered on top of modern day pictures:

Some cool stuff in there.
Did you see the Fable III opening cinematic yet Mak, it's pretty cool looking:

I say boo this man! Yeah they didn't live up to all the insane hype Molyneux put in to them but they were still damn good.
I liked Fable 2
I didn't hate Fable 2, but I was disappointed by it. When I beat the game, I just thought, "That's it? Really?" Given the track record of the franchise, I think it would do us all good to remember that Molyneux overpromises and underdelivers. The games are still decent, but they won't be earth-shattering.

Yeah, the ending was definitely shitty, especially the way you killed that guy. But a lot of endings are super shitty. The combat was kind of meh, too, but it wasn't as bad as a lot of people made it out to be. Still, I can say that I rather enjoyed the experience and story. It wasn't a perfect game by any stretch, but I also don't think it was a disappointment. It might have been for me had I read all of the pre-release hype. I didn't play it until well after release.

Before the first Fable came out I recall Mr. Molyneux promising something bigger and more engrossing than morrowind. Haha. I can never respect the series now.

Me too...only disappointing part was that ending.

I'm looking forward to 3.

The disappointing part was that it was little more than Fable with a new coat of paint. It really didn't expand on the gameplay or open up the effects of your decisions upon the world.

That is a very valid point. I did like the original Fable as well and felt that 2 was a fun extention of the first.

OH fuck ME SIDEWAYS
Fable 3 looks so good. I can't wait to play it. Feels like there is zero hype around it though. I didn't even know it was coming out this year until a few weeks ago.

@Linkin - I dont suppose there's any hope that Monday Night Combat will be less than 1200 points?
That's because a lot of people thought Fable 2 sucked.

I personally thought it was average. It had a lot of useless mechanics that really bought you nothing in terms of gameplay or story. And I hear the coop was absolutely atrocious.

Lawdy at that Katy Perry picture. I didn't realize she looked so much like Zooey Deschanel. Only difference is she got some big ol hey ohs.
Morning, OTT!

Congrats! Don't forget the extra pair of glasses!
Well it came with 2 pairs. It's so my boyfriend and I can watch and laugh at my room-mate. :)
I just finished watching Monsters vs Aliens in 3D. Epic.
I'm trying to decide whether or not I want to mount my sound bar above it.
It really is a beautiful TV. Right now I'm playing Pandora radio through the 3d blu ray player it came with. I find it hilarious you need an extra 70 dollar adapter to make the tv wireless but the blu ray player comes with wireless.
Whose painting is that in your sig, ni9?
Lawrence Yang's painting. His artwork is really great, but melancholy-like.

You should check out his drawings on the page, too.
This will make it easier.

http://www.250films.net/list/
That movie list does not suit my fancy. I've currently queued a whole bunch of films based off of this super ultimate list:

http://mubi.com/films?sort=popularity

That list is based on the most highly rated to lower rated films of all sorts of genres of most recent or old (in no particular order), and it stretches on for about 700 pages! I'm not sure you have to create an account to view it, but if you do, once you sign up and are taken to the home page, click on the films tab, then select most popular and that list will show up.

Nice!

If what I heard about soundbars is true (which isn't much, tbh) I think you want it below the TV...where the speakers on the TV normally would be. Or at least ear level from where you are sitting.

Just made an appointment to do the prelim exam and X-ray to get my wisdom teeth pulled. I don't have insurance - this is going to suck.

Good point. It would also be a pain in the ass to undock my ipod.

The Joystiq Review of Castlevania is funny.
HoD is still undeniably flawed in many respects. The characters control like they're running and jumping through invisible sand. The menus where you're supposed to equip new stuff are like a joke that you're not in on. The fact that you can only equip new stuff at certain points in each castle makes no sense. Some characters can buy new weapons; others can't. It feels like it was made in a month.

But if you can get enough friends together (up to six) -- who, mind you, must really like you to have dropped $15 on a game they'd never want to play alone -- the experience is unique and, yes, kinda fun.
Katy Perry isn't really -that- hot. At least her ribs aren't showing so she's somewhat of a 'healthy' weight. And her tits aren't that big. She just seems so manufactured too.

If I may ask, what soundbar did you get?
If I may ask, what soundbar did you get?
It's an iLive 3.1. I'm not a sound nut, so I just went with what was cool for me. Being able to dock my ipod is really nice since I always forget to charge it and I have a first gen ipod touch so it doesn't have speakers.

"This is how I come to terms with having a fat wife." - ???

You can see my little 42 inch plasma there that actually weighs 50% more than my new tv.
My boyfriend has already gotten his Starcraft 2 on.
Lulu is LIVING IN SIN!!!!!!!!!!!!

!!!!!!!!!
Yeah, my boyfriend just moved in (well not fully yet... he's in transition). He was living with his brother and sister-in-law and nephew and his sister-in-law just got preggers so he's going to be living here. Which is nothing new to me seeing as I have been living with Jonathan for oh 6 years or so.
