Holiday Must-Have 2008 Games

Which games are you most looking forward to? It's going to be an expensive 4th quarter for me with Gears 2, Prince of Persia, Fallout 3, and Fable II all coming out. I'm looking to get an Elite as well with the price drop. I've come accustomed to getting my games (mass effect/ bioshock) for under $30, but these are games I'm wiling to pay full price for. What are your must-have $60 games this year?
 
These are the games coming out in the remainder of the year that I'm most excited about:

Left 4 Dead
Star Wars: The Force Unleashed
Tomb Raider: Underworld
Mirror's Edge
Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway
Silent Hill: Homecoming
Mafia II
Scene It? Box Office Smash
Midnight Club: Los Angeles (just 'cause it's where I live)

But it's really the first 3 months of 2009 that I'm looking forward to. In that span of time, we should get Resident Evil 5, Street Fighter IV, Bionic Commando, Brutal Legend, Beyond Good & Evil 2, Aliens: Colonial Marines, Borderlands, The Godfather II, and Tom Clancy's H.A.W.X.

I'm gonna have to cut down on going to the movies to save money for all the great games releasing next quarter. I rarely buy games, and even if I do, I sell most on ebay. Currenly have a blockbuster rental pass which does me good for most games. But I definitely will be purchasing:

Maybe some XBLA titles. Puzzle Quest 2 might be good (as long as the puzzle game is as fun and the Sci Fi space garbage theme doesnt ruin it too much)
 
Gears 2 is the only game I'd currently call a must have. Mainly because I'm just not gaming much lately and don't plan on buying many games this fall.

But there are a handful of others I have my eye on. Fallout 3, Fable 2 etc. Though I don't know if I'll have time for an RPG anytime soon. Just super busy with work and trying to finish up my Ph D this year.

I forgot about that one, as well! Indy Lego was a lot of fun. More fun that SW Lego, IMO.

Both.

Plus people are still playing the shit out of CoD4 online. We really didn't need another CoD this year.

For me, I still play some CoD4 (but not much) and just played through CoD2 so I just have no desire to play another CoD game this year, even if it ends up being good unlike CoD3.

I agree , I play COD4 online as it is great and I actually don't suck at it! So that is good for me moving up the ranks in online play.

Crysis and Farcry two are out in the next month so I'll get those first.

-> The Treyarch guys have a lot to gain, and a lot to lose. They're in a fairly bad position. If the new CoD5 game isn't a hit, they're pretty much going to be off the radar for awhile. However, if it's a hit, then they are obviously still in. I believe the game will be good, why? I definitely know they're hearing the criticism against them, so they probably won't make a game that totally sucks ass. Plus, the current CoD5 videos on IGN look awesome lol.
 
Won't be buying all of these this Fall. If my 360 dies for a 3rd time all multiplatform purchases will be switched to PS3.

4. Halo Wars (still count as holiday?)

6. Mirror's Edge (my wild card, game looks sick)
