While writing a post in another thread I noticed that my 9 year anniversary with CAG is next month. Wow...I can't believe I have been here since June 2003. Love me some Cheapy D, and he and the CAG community has saved me lots of $$$$ over the years. Even though this site has made my backlog grow to over 100 games. Ughhh....

So how long have you been on CAG? The greatest site on the internet!!!!

2004 is my registration date, but I know I lurked for quite a while prior to that (at least a year, if not longer). I think I finally registered and started posting on the board when there was a contest going on or something. (I was sort of curious to check what it was, but unfortunately the news archive doesn't go back that far.)

June 2005. Although I lurked a good year or so before that. Yahoo used to have some feed page thing thats similar to modern day Google Reader, except you couldn't put whatever website you wanted on there .. you had to select it from a predefined list of websites they offered. And it just so happened CAG was one of the choices. So that's how I found out about this place.

Been coming here for a while now, feel like an old codger (or is it CAGer?)... to all them young'uns only popping in for the code drop: Get off my lawn! :)

It will be 9 years for me in December. I think I found the site after it got a mention in an EGM article about saving money. It became my first stop online immediately and has stayed that way ever since.

I started lurking around the great Circuit City $5 clearance-mania in 2004. I'll never forget rolling up to those registers with 35-36 games, including some really good ones.

Nowadays this is pretty much the only place I post.
Wait when was the site created? Is 03 the earliest date you could join?
May '03.

And the front page hasn't really changed a bit.

May have to click the link to get a full size image.

Same here... I think. I remember reading that article but I can't remember if I was already here or that is what prompted me to check it out.

Remember the good old days when Cheapy would send you a $25 gift card to that porn shop in SoHo for every 100 posts? Ahhh the memories...

Damn. Really wish I heard of this site earlier then.

I have been on here registered since August of 2010 but I remember the light lurking I did for almost a year before, and podcast listening a bit before that! I love this site, I post when I can, and love most of the community on here. And CAG is the reason I have my first backlog of a modern console generation...
You look for cheap deals around Christmas.
I'm not detecting sufficient deference to my account age.

I think I found CAG by searching something like 'cheap games' on MSN. It was one of the first results that popped up. I kinda wish I found the site sooner, like during that Circuit City mega $5 clearance.:bomb:

Of course, I was a cheap ass gamer
and an asshole
for a looooooong time before joining CAG.:booty: I actually knew when the Kmart clearance games would usually drop during a month(at one point they were dropping mid month or they seemed to be anyway:whistle2:s) .

At one point I used to post both here and on Gamefaqs, but that site was far too cliquey for my liking.

Been on here since December 2004 and have been active ever since.

Always laugh when I see folks that have been on here as long or longer than me that are still active.

I've been on here for just over three years. This is easily my favorite website to go on. I actually met one of my best friends through a trade on this site.
