It may be a futile, doomed effort, but they aren't killing and totally orphaning the Touchpad. Yeah, it's going to be limited, but it's ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS! A 9.7" tablet with Gorilla Glass screen for a C-note. Hell, I'm gonna get one just cuz! There's a Kindle app, so BAM!!! $100 eReader!

Aside from very specific-fitting cases being YMMV, most anything that works with an iPad1 should be the exact same for a Touchpad, especially a screen protector.

Find a nice iPad1 touchstylus & screen protector set combo on eBay or the likes for $5.
 
When i brought my 2 pads to bestbuy to price adjust, one of the girl cashier thought i was returning n cameup to the my rep asking to buy it. Haha

I guess my point is this. In the age of Youtube and hundreds of devices that have cameras incorporated in the device...If this actually happend the accussor would have taken a photo. I seriously doubt the claim that this customer is claiming. Cases being taken to cars? REALLY? You can spot a HP Touchpad Case? Like I said, disgruntled customers say anything so they have someone to blame.

You can't buy it in the US, but it's unlocked. Therefore, you could import it and then use it through AT&T or T-Mobile. Probably not worth the effort IMHO.

Ordered from HP small business mid morning on Sunday and was on hold Monday morning for 1 hour and 45 mins when I received help from a rep who gave me her direct email and line. She just updated me with the following:

Your order is now in our internal systems for product allocation at the warehouse. We have been informed it will take aproximately 3 weeks to have the orders to ship out but I will keep you updated.

Still have a "Order in process of being fullfilled; Usually ships in 0-1 days" order status on Best Buy for the 16 gig I ordered at 6:30 am CST on 8/21 (Sunday).

i used the inventory tracker for my area and at one location the local best buy shows "in store only" instead of "unavailable" like the other stores. Also this particular store used to show "unavailable" yesterday/last night.

Does that mean there are selling more units this morning (the store hasn't opened yet)?

I'm sure when all the dust settles, there will be some CAGs with extras that will try to pass them along to other CAGs for some reasonable price.
