It may be a futile, doomed effort, but they aren't killing and totally orphaning the Touchpad. Yeah, it's going to be limited, but it's ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS! A 9.7" tablet with Gorilla Glass screen for a C-note. Hell, I'm gonna get one just cuz! There's a Kindle app, so BAM!!! $100 eReader!

If people are willing to pay good money for information that they could otherwise get free on the internet if they'd just look for themselves, then whose business is it to critique what other people do?

It's like the people paying a premium for the Touchpads. If they feel it's better than running all over creation to various stores and/or calling stores like crazy to try and find out when/if they're getting stock in, then who are we to judge?

As usual it's just sour grapes from those in the community who weren't diligent enough to be there at the right moment to get one(or more) of these for themselves.
 
We are sorry to inform you that we are unable to fulfill your order for the HP TouchPad case (eBay item #xxxxxxxxxxx). The shipment from the manufacturer got delayed unexpectedly and we may not get the product back in stock in the next two weeks, if at all.

We haven't contacted you earlier because we were expecting a delivery next Monday and were hoping that we would be able to fulfill the orders, albeit with a delay. Since we found out today that it is not possible for the product to reach our warehouse for at least two weeks, we decided to cancel the orders and let our customers buy the cases elsewhere, before they are sold out completely.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you and we're hoping that you're so ecstatic that you were able to snag a tablet for $99 that you will forgive us for making you go through the trouble of reordering a case on eBay.

Yeah....I posted this a while ago but I got one and gave it to my girlfriend because she doesn't have any idea on how to do it. I help the people who genuinely would appreciate it since it is easier for her to do schoolwork in class being an international. I gave it to her also so I can't believe how CAGs are putting other CAG's in the same boat as SDers/CListers...that is not cool, not cool my friends. :bomb::bomb:

I'm going to buy a Acer Aspire 7741G-6426 17.3inch Laptop in a few weeks (Sept 6 is when I get paid) and I think I'm going to get the HP Touchpad 32GB as well. Both are for school but I really want a tablet and for this price, I can't pass up.

I've got a Gateway P-7811FX. Kickass laptop still and looking to upgrade the CPU to a x9100 or t9900 soon.

17" of greatness and gaming at 1920 x 1200
 
Please note I did not expressly say I was going to sell one of the Touchpads as of yet. If anything I may just give one to one of my parents for something to mess with and keep the other one for myself.

Is this thing worth paying retail plus $50? Need something to watch movies, web browsing, basic computer stuff. I really don't know anything about tablets...

Anybody else get strange fluctuations in the brightness of this thing?

Like the brightness will be all the way on its highest setting and all of a sudden it gets dim no matter what you do. It's kind of strange. Any way to fix this?

Best buy site said it was Available for In store pickup at 10:50 when I checked. So, I was going to go there at 11 and see if I could wait, CAR broke down on me. I get home now at 1 and the site now says unavailable. Do i even risk it now or what?

And I don't know if it's the same thing, but it's not that I'm leaving the TP unattended for a specific time and it dims. I can still touch it/run apps/whatever and it stays dim. I'll look through the settings I guess.. weird feature especially since it seems to get dim when I need the brightness the most.

I don't think I've EVER had anyone come to my house to pick something up I've sold on CL. I always meet them at the local mall. The last time I was selling something though I looked absolutely ridiculous, since I didn't have the regular box for it(60gb PS3) and I had it in this oversized cardboard box.:whistle2:#
