Huge amount of almost free Arcade stuff

Today, Woot.com was selling an ArcadeMX joystick for $30. Intrigued by the site, I went there and went to all products:

I scrolled down a bit, and found huge amounts of free stuff. I placed a lot in my shopping cart and went to check out. Shipping was huge. I then realized that was because of the items weight (listed under price.) I saw many items, for some reason, had no weight either. So I bought a gun, a cheaper arcade stick, a usb controller, a driving wheel, and lots of other stuff, for a total price of free plus $15 shipping.

Wow you are right...very odd. All this stuff for free (Just pay for shipping). Too good to be true?

Hmmm, weird, I was looking around that site, and now for some reason, in the checkout process, it says my only possible payment is money/check order...
 
I'm going to try sending a check. I'm afraid to put my card number there, at least with a check they don't have TOO much info on me.
 
Well, I get an error when I try to confirm my order, something about the mailbox not being there. And no way in hell am I putting in my cc number. I guess I'll pass on this.
 
I dont even get an option for CC...

"Ran into problems sending Mail. Response: 550 sorry, no mailbox here by that name (#5.1.1)"

My thoughts would be to let this one pass. Some of the pages are still underconstruction too....
 
I tried entering fake CC numbers, and every time it said they don't accept cards with the first 4 numbers I used. I tried numbers that real cards have, and those also didn't work. Pretty much no way at all to order anything.

So it doesn't even matter if you try to send your order, it's not going to go through.

Well, they would have your bank account number and that's a number I wouldn't want any shady person or website to have. You'd be better off sending a money order (but it looks like no one's order is going through anyway).
 
The reason the price shows as 0.00 is because they are available for wholesale purchase only. This was discussed on woot today.
 
I sent it and got the same error you did. But I checked my email, and it says it went through. So Ill send the check anyway.
 
Yeah, the 0$ stuff is for wholesale only, or it's for items that they've placed orders on, but do not yet have to sell, as I recall from the woot discussion.
 
It might be free but they rip you on the shipping, 2 guns for $77 shipping and handling? WTF?! No thanks, stupid scam site.
