Is the LA Noire book that's free in the iBook store worth a read?
There's gonna be a World War Z movie?
Would it be done documentary style with vignettes and flashbacks? It would be tough to fit that into a cohesive movie narrative otherwise. It would have made a nice HBO multi-episode special.

BTW, the Audiobook is phenomenal, even if you've read the book you should still check it out. Mark Hamill, Turturro and Meathead's voice acting FTW.

The audio book was quite awesome. I usually don't listen to them as a matter of principal (books are for READING) but when I heard it was done more as a drama with a full cast I picked it up. Listened to it over a week on my commute and enjoyed it thoroughly.

Far Cry 2 could have been great. The open-endedness of the game is awesome. There a few design flaws that keep it from being great and things that feel like a chore.

I ended up beating the game and had a good time, but it does take a while. I don't know about 15 hours.

I bought an audio splitter to record live chat during gaming sessions. Sucks that the hauppauge hd pvr does not have a feature to record live commentary. Now there are wires. Wires everywhere.
Any play that new Alice game yet?
I'll probably pick that up when it drops in price. Ayumi is a big fan of the previous game.

I don't know how you finished it in 15 hours, took me 40-50 hours. I recall when it came out they boasted up to 50 hours for SP. Reminds me, I need to get one of those Far Cry 2 engine bolts. A few turns and she's good as new. The ratchet probably costs an arm and a leg though.

I got that number from the general gaming forum "how long does it take to beat this game" thread. They have Far Cry 2 listed as 15/40 so I thought it meant 15 to beat the game if you just do story missions and 40 if you wanna do the side missions.

Make sure to stay away from the Smithsonian, the National Mall, the Verizon Center and anywhere that an elected official might be. Or you could just not go.
I missed Heavy Rain for $16 on newegg. Shit is sold out already. :(
I got that on Target clearance for $15-ish. You might try that.

Hmm I traded in Bulletstorm to Amazon and got a notice the value is $0.00 because I sent the wrong item. But I didn't. I definitely sent the right thing. Thanks to my OCDish ways I checked the case, manual, and disc multiple times before I put it in the envelope.

EDIT: Looks like it might be cause I sent the epic edition (pre-order bonus) but they only have a sku for regular. That's retarded. So now I guess I can't trade this in to Amazon at all.

After two years after graduation I finally got my degree framed. Now its sitting in my room, not even hung on a wall, staring and mocking me.

Also, there a bunch of games I want to play but I just don't feel like getting them and playing them.

I am a terrible person.
I know Uncharted is old but damn, this game kinda ain't shit.
Both Uncharted games are fucking rock solid until they think they are Indiana Jones. I swear if they told me that they got rid of all that bullshit I probably would be more hyped for the Vita and Uncharted on both systems. The first half of U2 is ridiculously good if you have not played it.

It's just take cover, use pistol head shots, collect ammo and go on to the next area. But fuck it, it's alright for an old game.

That's pretty much every TPS cover-based shooter on the market.

Blog post #32 - Turns out that entire week she wanted to make it work, she had already been seeing some coworker on the side. Apparently she had regret that same day she mentioned working it out, but we still had sex, told each other we loved each other and knew that working it out was what we wanted. FAst forward to Wednesday and she kept saying she didn't want a relationship and just wanted to be free to do whatever he wanted, and then she let the thing about seeing someone else slip as if that was supposed to change my mind and make me drop it. Apparently he just got out of a long relationship too and she'd hate me if she didnt take a chance on it. (?) Absolutely fucked with my head, dropped me out of it, I reduced myself to begging for her, and she wants me to accept it and leave her alone when she knows what she did. It was getting easy without her before that week, and now I can't quit. :(

Wish I has as cold of a heart to her as I do toward everything else. I made a huge mistake losing my temper and shoving her while we were in the car discussing the situation on wednesday, which I never should have done. I know it's not over, and her "if it doesn't work I'll probably be crawling back to you cause that's all I know" statement made me feel even worse and a bit better at the same time. I feel so dead. Down 8lbs since Saturday, lost my job in a verbal altercation with my supe, and I have absolutely no drive to do anything at the moment. She's the one person that'll bring me to my knees. I know things get better with time, but as of right now I'm so stuck. :(

Posting from an iPhone is annoying. :/

Forgot this in the last post -

I guess I really only have myself to blame, since I ran away from the problem initially by just deleting her out of my life, telling her the relationship wouldn't be the same, and just leaving. She says that's what got her out of it, got her into someone else, and wanting to just move on. It was hard dealing with someone who is in that "take it for what it is or leave it" attitude and I couldn't take it anymore. Such a messed up situation that would've easily been avoided if she had never lied/gone behind my back to do other things. I just wish she never filled my head with hope after already finding someone else.

Good luck TFN. Breakups are hard but you gotta tough it out til you're over it and eventually you'll be alright.

Damn TFN...women do suck, can't live with them, can't live without them. I do believe that things happen for a reason, and while you might not see it now, you may be better off in the long run finding someone that fits better for you.

True -- it depends on what your thing is -- if you like the environment and whatnot. Vehicle section here, cutscene there... at least Uncharted games break it up with some climbing sections.

Sorry, TFN... :(

That awkward moment when I'll regret this post later.

I'm so pleased with my life right now. Very intoxicated and with my girlfriend and my closest friends. :3

I'm a pretty difficult person to work with too, so I know it's not all her. Ive got alot of problems here at home that kinda broke my spirit over the years and she was the support beam for me. Ive done my share of bs in the relationship too. Wish her well though. I won't mind waiting if its really what I want, and if she never comes around oh well, I tried one last time.

It is!

Planning to rent it at the Redbox near my house tomorrow. Hopefully its not as bad as the reviews are making it out to be.

If you expect Duke to compete in the modern arena of FPS games, it falls short (pretty badly). If you expect a direct sequel to Duke Nukem 3D it feels perfect.

Aside from the load times and the fact that Duke was too much for my 360 (e74 shortly after finishing it), I had a lot of fun.
Play on normal though -- some sections on hard are just piss poor due to game design.
