Humble Bundle Thread

Nuclear throne is great, I already have it from Indiebox, but it's really good. This month I am not as excited as last month, but Renowned Explorers looks interesting enough that I will play.

So you're saying I should have bought Ryse... lol

Oh, well, I'm sure it's in the next main HB.
I told you it most likely wouldn't be in this bundle. Devs/pubs are getting smart with the refund period.

Anyway, I was kind of interested in the dodgeball game until I realized it's local MP only.. ugh. Would've made a nice bronight game if it had online MP. Humble needs to stop adding that shit to their monthlies.

Really happy I decided to try the Monthly out finally. Been wanting Nuclear Throne and South Park for a while and the other games look decent. Definitely worth the $10.80 after coupon!

Really good monthly.  Renowned Explorers is a nice twist on the turn-based strategy genre, plus one of your party members can be a female Mexican wrestler, so Foxhack can call the game racist.

And hooray for Mad Max!

Good looking month. This is the first monthly that was all new for me. I actually cancelled for March because I kept getting doubles. I just wish the Monthly let you choose a local charity like the regular bundles do.

I guess Humble CS wasn't able to sort out my coupon issue before the new monthly dropped.  Oh well. Not bad.  I knew the two best games were going to be repeats.  Now to unload them in the cesspool.

Guess I'll be on the lookout for cheap copies of Nuclear Throne and The Magic Circle now.

Renowned Explorers is a funny one. It's full of charm and replayability but for the life of me I can't "get" it. The dev has implemented some mechanics that I don't quite understand and - absolutely - I suck at it. It's a shame because I really want to like it and love it and take it for long walks on the beach and ... I've said too much.

Anyways, I'd like to hear people's thoughts on it. This is the dev that also made Reus, another game I wanted to understand but ultimately failed to do so.

Decent bundle, quality-wise. Not as many off the Wishlist for me this time around but Nuclear Throne has been something I've looked at for yonks.

:whee:

Not a great bundle for me, already had Nuclear Throne but I got it mainly for the pre revealed games. Renowned Explorers and Magic Circle look alright though and Nova 111 could be alright. Better than 2 months ago at least (didn't subscribe last month though did get someone's Shantae, which is what I would have mainly wanted).

So did everybody go insane for the lack of good bundles while I was gone, why the hell is everybody subscribed to Humble Monthly now?

I think with Groupees having some of the worst bundles and IG providing quantity over quality, and Bundlestars doing massive repeat bundles, plus Humble Bundle was pooping out terrible bundles, led us to this. I think this may be my last month. It's alright if you want the revealed early game, but for the most part the extra games are alright not great.

Because you know you'll get at least something decent from Humble Monthly. Pretty much everything else sucks.

Just like your mum.

You know, I realize the only reason this bundle exists is for Humble to gauge how much money they can make on an obvious joke, but I still feel like there's something inherently wrong about paying for fonts that are parodies of free fonts.

Had no interest in South Park but Nuclear Throne + This War are nice.  Dunno if they'd be $6ish each nice but a good deal if you want all that other poop.  Max Max for $12 + other junk is probably good enough for me.

da fuq happened to mooby, he's saying humble bundles are GOOD now

did ur brother take over ur cag account?

Only South Park was a repeat for me and a few of these were on my Wishlist, so I'm pretty happy. In fact, I'll probably stay subscribed for the next one even though I already moraned Mad Max -- off to the cesspool with you, Max!

One interesting thing I've noticed is that I am more likely to install and then play the games I get from the HM, mostly because I actually want them and they don't look like something dug out of the trash can sitting behind the Walmart bargain bin.

Nice Mad Max on the monthly. Have been holding off on that one thankfully. The April bundle was pretty meh for me really. Already had South Park from Russian travel. Not particularly interested in the unlocks.

I think the way to go with these is clearly to buy if you don't have the preview game(s) as those are the big draw. If I didn't own South Park this would've been a fantastic bundle, as is though I'm willing to wait until either a good sale or another bundle for the games in the bundle that I do want/don't have. Reupping for this next bundle, hopefully there's a couple games as good as nuclear throne or this war that I want in the next one.

Quick question, as long as I cancel the monthly subscription a week before the rest of the games are revealed, I will still get the revealed games, correct?

When you pay for the month you get the preview game immediately and the later revealed games when they are revealed. It is an all or nothing proposition.

Generally, it's around 12 pm EST the Friday before a reveal. I wouldn't mess around though. If you're not interested in continuing you ought to go ahead and unsubscribe sooner rather than later. They don't really send you any kind of reminder or courtesy letter -- you just get charged.

Really great bundle but glad I skipped it. Already own South Park, TWOM, Nuclear Throne, and Renowned Explorers. Still, they're all really good (South Park being the worst and entirely dependent on how much you like South Park) games and in fact Nuclear Throne was my second favorite game of 2015. The other two just look a bit interesting but I can either scoop those up via trading or buying for pennies if need-be.

I'll go in on the next one though. $11 for Mad Max sounds fine and anything else will be gravy. Even if it ends up like the Alien bundle where the one big game was the only thing I gave a shit about I won't feel bad about it, and if it ends up like the Ark bundle and I actually get a couple good games, great.

Glad they started doing the instant gratification game(s) on these humble monthlies. Couldn't be assed to buy-in when the entire thing was unknown, but having one or two headliner games at least helps me gauge my interest, and then I can assume the rest is upper quality bundle-filler. Works out fine for me.

After seeing how easy the process was to subscribe and then unsubscribe, I now kind of regret not having picked up the March bundle.

oh ho.. I already own Mad Max thanks to Brazilian travel but not South Park. Look like I need to drop by the Kremlin once in a while

Straight hatin'

The Buffy comics are actually really good.
I'm not into comics (like, at all, really), but I'm tempted to throw a little money at the lowest tier and check a few of them out just because...well...Buffy/Angel (apparently written by Whedon and some of the show writers). Hhmm...

Mad Max GOTY 2015.

Seriously, so good. Get on it you filthy casuals.

(It's not a great game, it's just pretty good. And fun. Lots of fun. fucking harpoons man. HARPOONS!)

:whee:

I'm torn on the Sega bundle....if they just allowed multiple keys. I need a few of the Total War Keys...and Fall of Samurai from part 2, though I own all the Dawn of War games in the bundle and Valkyria Chronicles...I think i still got a tab for $5.80ish. Stupid 1 tier keys!

No multiple keys killed this bundle for me.

Already own a fair deal of that Sega bundle.
