Humble Bundle Thread

Kind of want to buy the $3 tier for Kingdom Rush Frontiers and Origins but I never play anything on my phone and I don't know if its worth it to stick an emulator on my laptop.  I guess I could steal back my old tablet that I gave to my kid because I hardly ever used it, its just a netflix machine now...

I have the Kingdom Rush games on mobile from previous Humbles, and Anomaly 2 as well, but nothing else. The bundle is still tempting. Lately I've gotten a decent amount of play from mobile games I've gotten from Humble.

Me too....i was collecting them but now have a phone that can actually play them well. I am thinking about this new bundle...seems to be a decent value, but not sure.

Similar situation here. Upgraded my phone, wife's phone, plus got a new tablet for us and one for my son. We have a huge backlog of Humble stuff and Amazon free apps to play.

Could someone refresh my memory about how long you have after a bundle ends to pay for a higher tier?
7 days after the bundle ends, usually right up to the time bundles usually start.

Ex: bundle launches 3/14, ends 3/28, you have until roughly the time a bundle launches on 4/3 to increase payment on your purchase.

Did they change something recently? It used to be 30 days after a bundle ended.

This is somewhat weird to ask, but does anyone know how/where one could get older Humble BOOK bundles? It has been a loooooooong time since I looking for places to trade keys for GAMES, and never the book bundles.

Specifically the Image Comics 25th Anniversary bundle, and the Tsutomu Nihei bundle.

Poked around on teh reddits/googlez, but they all point to game key trading/reselling.

Thanks.

Most of the book bundles are DRM-free, so trading would be difficult unless somebody bought a gift bundle.

Thanks. I need to pseudo-Gilby that comics bundle.

Here come those juicy Jumbo unlocks.

  • Aurion: Legacy of the Kori-Odan
  • Void Destroyer
  • The Interactive Adventures of Dog Mendonça and Pizza Boy
No new bundle today.

The present day Weretable is slightly disappointed that he forgot to buy the Arma bundle.

The 13 months from today Weretable is slightly pleased that he has another chance to buy the Arma bundle.

The 13 months from today (plus two weeks) Weretable is slightly disappointed that he forgot to buy the Arma bundle.

The Jumbo unlocks look pretty good to me. Which is surprising because usually if anyone else makes anything without any input from me, it's a disaster.

Compared to the previous few Jumbo Bundles, the week 2 additions seem exceptionally weak to me (Euro Truck 2 and Story About My Uncle were added to #5; Shadowrun Returns and Holy Potatoes for #6; Regency Solitaire, Hexcells Complete and Expand for #7). I've always considered the Jumbo bundle to basically be a lite version of the main numbered HIBs that sometimes ends up being even better, so by those standards I'm disappointed.

I guess it just depends on what you're into. I think this months are better than all those except the shadowrun and holy potatoes. Had two of them on my wish list.

That's true. Usually the Jumbo Bundles do a good job of mixing genres and include at least 3-4 games I'd be interested in. This one was pretty much just The Journey Down (and Jotun I suppose, but I had already played and enjoyed that when it was in a previous Monthly bundle). But I can see the how some people would view this one more positively than I do.

The newest Humble Bundle e-mail blast is about the female sci-fi book bundle. At the bottom of the e-mail is a link to a bundle called Humble THQ Nordic Playstation Bundle. The link goes to a 404 error. Is there any more info on that? Is it an upcoming bundle?

I'M TRIGGERED!  WHY IS HUMBLE MAKING A BUNDLE WITH ONLY WOMEN WHO ARE OBVIOUSLY NOT TALENTED BUT MERELY BEING PROMOTED DUE TO THEIR GENDER?

My non-triggered self though is also curious about the THQ Nordic Playstation Bundle, though given the pub I don't expect it to have anything I don't already own.

I noticed that too. Maybe the two ps4 darksiders remasters soon

Had Void Destroyer confused with Void Destroyer 2 which is now in early access.  The first is more RTS whereas the 2nd seems to be a Freelancer type game.  Will be $1'ing it.

I'm assuming like the Capcom Playstation Bundle it's going to have a mix of PS3 and PS4 titles. The Datksiders games I believe are about everything that would interest me from them. Maybe there's some indies they've done that I don't know about and would enjoy.

I'm considering biting the bullet on the Doctor Who audiobook bundle. Anyone have experience with any of them?
Because I don't seep much, I've listened to all of these (no YOU'RE the nerd, Fox) and really only recommend the full cast audio drama. I'd say yes to the BTA, but no to the $15 tier.

I, Davros is a great series and is easily the standout among what's here. The other dramas in the $8 tier all feature the 8th Doctor, and they aren't bad considering what they're working with--McGann is "the movie Doctor," but has been adequately expanded upon in Big Finish canon to become one of the better Doctors. He's able to perpetuate the anger and frustration from 7, and Charlie is a good companion for audio-only. Also, I think they already bundled the Zagreus arc, and that's by far the best 8th Doctor story line, if not the best in all of Big Finish. Phobos is the standout there.

The Destiny of the Doctor stories are mostly audio books voiced by previous companions. They're not bad, but not as good as the full cast dramas. I haven't listened to much of Torchwood; I like Jack Harkness, but he's not Doctor, and I don't always enjoy all the lewdness. Can you imagine how many cringeworthy innuendos there'd be with Captain Jack and Bernice Summerfield? God damn, like listening to a porno.

I read some of the reviews for the first game, doesn't seem worth it. The controls and UI are 2deep4u even if you're into the genre. The 2nd game has a shit artstyle, but it's a better game overall. Apparently the dev went with the shit art style because of budget issues. The cost is lower for that kind of art style (because.. well.. it's shit), and he can put more ships into the game, compared to the first game where the graphics costed more and less ships were put into the game.

The first Void Destroyer was most likely bundled to finance the second game. BTA really only seems worth it to me if you're missing Vermintide and/or Jotun. Aurion looks like it could be decent, but it's published by plug in digital so there's a 100% chance it'll be bundled again
