Humble Bundle Thread

Because I don't seep much, I've listened to all of these (no YOU'RE the nerd, Fox) and really only recommend the full cast audio drama. I'd say yes to the BTA, but no to the $15 tier.

I, Davros is a great series and is easily the standout among what's here. The other dramas in the $8 tier all feature the 8th Doctor, and they aren't bad considering what they're working with--McGann is "the movie Doctor," but has been adequately expanded upon in Big Finish canon to become one of the better Doctors. He's able to perpetuate the anger and frustration from 7, and Charlie is a good companion for audio-only. Also, I think they already bundled the Zagreus arc, and that's by far the best 8th Doctor story line, if not the best in all of Big Finish. Phobos is the standout there.

The Destiny of the Doctor stories are mostly audio books voiced by previous companions. They're not bad, but not as good as the full cast dramas. I haven't listened to much of Torchwood; I like Jack Harkness, but he's not Doctor, and I don't always enjoy all the lewdness. Can you imagine how many cringeworthy innuendos there'd be with Captain Jack and Bernice Summerfield? God damn, like listening to a porno.
I'll disagree with this a bit. I have but haven't yet listened to Blood of the Daleks, of the items on offer here. The 8th Doctor Adventures items here actually feature Lucie Miller, not Charley Pollard, but I concur that Paul McGann does make a much better Doctor in the Big Finish stories than in the awful TV movie. It's a shame that he didn't get more of a chance to play the role on television. I would say that the $1 tier is probably not worthwhile but that's primarily because I'm not a fan of stories about Doctors that don't actually have Doctors in them; this is the premise behind a lot of the Companion Chronicles series stories too. My big argument with Blade here is that I would actually recommend the $15 tier because it features three recent and well-received Torchwood stories (which are full-cast audio plays, although each of these don't feature the full original cast, but only one or two of the folks from the TV series). Bear in mind that if you have any interest in these, outside of periodic sales, these items normally sell for $8-12 each.

The only down side to these bundles, and whether it's a significant down side really depends on you, is that Big Finish will not add any of these items to your account (meaning that you don't have access to them in the Big Finish app on Android or iOS); I've emailed them about this before. If you don't feel strongly about that but you do enjoy Big Finish's work, this is a no-brainer to me. Personally, it's a bummer that I can't have them in the app because the app is so easy to use and it means I always have a copy of my library in the cloud if I don't want to hold the files on my device until I get around to listening to them. However, this is easily the cheapest way for me to get many of these stories, so it's hard to pass these bundles up.

I know that this question has been asked a million times before in this tread. And I apologize for making it one million and one times. Generally speaking though, what is the last day that I can cancel my subscription to the monthly and avoid getting charged?

1. Your post is too short.

2. Your post is not about doc who.

3. You are not a nerd/geek.

I heard the 11th doctor say it was the Friday before, but don't quote me on that because I don't want a dalek raping me in a phone booth for being wrong.

To error on the safe side, I believe it's best to cancel before the last Friday of the month like Fox said (or 7 days before the monthly games are revealed).

Although, if you want to be even safer you probably want to cancel 8 days before on a Thursday. Mainly because I'm not sure exactly what time the auto-charge goes through on Friday depending on payment method.

Plus most people forget by the time Friday rolls around. :whistle2:

Checked my receipt drawer and all of the monthly charges were posted between 9 and 9:30 AM Pacific on the last Friday of the month.

What are the differences between Turko and Turok? I'm vaguely interested in Turko...not so much in Turok......

I loves me some Turok, but I just bought an old physical disc version of Turok 2 off of ebay about a year and half ago, and I played through it then. While there is approximately a 100% chance that I will play though the game at some time in the future, I don't see it happening anytime over the next year or so. I'm sure I'll have plenty of other opportunities to get the two games for much cheaper than the current deal before I next have a burning desire to go back and revisit the franchise.

If some ass hole hadn't quoted you, you could have just hit the "Hide" button and nobody would have ever be the wiser.

Don't tell me what to do. But seriously, I have an inability to not be a dick for more than 5 seconds, so I understand how you feel there or maybe I don't, took more than 5 seconds to type this shit up.

Does turok have the old cheat enabled where you can get all weapons with a code? I remember on N64 having the nuke gun and just mowing down guys from the beginning, or was it lost in translation?

To be honestly peasantish here, I might have been a little excited if it had been almost anyone other than THQ Nordic. I just got a PS4 a few weeks ago and I still only have three games for it.

But it's THQ Nordic, and who doesn't already own virtually their entire catalog on Steam by now?

There's a chance it won't be this week. A LOT of Steam key stores are currently running sales on Nordic Games' catalog, it would just cut into sales.

We'll find out in a few minutes, I guess.

This is my thinking too, that and the fact I have PS3 and stuff is being marketed more and more to the PS4 nowadays.

Now you too can be a furry online, with only a camera!

Seriously though? Quiplash is an AMAZING game, perfect for bro nights! And a friend might be able to take advantage of that VPN thing to watch Amazon Prime stuff.

We've played Quiplash a few times on bro nights since its in the Jackbox Party Pack (same with Drawful in tier 2). And only one person needs to own it to be able to play it, so its not even beneficial in that respect.

This is a shit bundle in almost every respect except the highest tier, as Magix is a decent simple video editor, but unless you're producing a lot of video theres plenty of freeware options.
