I've read conflicting reports -- aren't they lowering Prison Architect to $20 retail on its actual release, anyway?  That is the 'preorder/access to alpha or beta or whatever' price is intentionally higher?

I haven't heard anything definitive on the price changing, but I know that I've read about developers setting the price on early access higher than they would price the game to keep out people who might just stumble in and complain that the game wasn't finished or very good.

Putting it in a bundle to widen exposure seems like it might go against that idea a bit.

Love how people pay (more) to work as testers for developers.

That's what I thought too. If they want the early access for only those who are serious about testing the game and giving feedback, why do they put it in a humble bundle?

Well, I put the garbage out today, so yeah, it must be Thursday.

You should airmail this post to Humble Weekly; I hear they're looking for a new spokesman.

Edit: I mean it sucks because they were bundled years ago, or at least it feels like it.

I thought I was in bizarro world for a moment. I scrolled down to sales stats and Mac purchases were about 85%, Linux 9%, and Windows 1%. I had last refreshed seconds after the sale went live.

I assume the games are separate keys?
Doubtful, there's a bundle for these games on Steam. http://store.steampowered.com/sub/14002/?snr=1_7_7_151_150_1

Also, it says the $20 price is only good for the first 24 hours, then it goes up to $25 for Prison Architect.

Pay what you want. Pay anything you want to receive four amazing games, two tech demos, and source code access. Pay $1 or more to receive Steam keys. Pay $19.99 or more within the first 24 hours of this sale and $24.99 afterwards to get Prison Architect!

Prison Architect was also slightly cheaper than this $20 introductory price (twice) during the Summer Sale.  The main part of the bundle is pretty much a throw-away at this point (bundled to death).

weird, i just bought this ($1) and I had to do the captcha. i thought that was only for 1 cent purchases. did humble change their policy or something?

Now humble is copying indiegala and having crap video game reviewers pick their bundles

At least it's not a girl, I mean he kinda looks fem but...I think it's because he's Swedish. Bork bork bork

Someone that bought/was going to buy the bundle that doesn't need Botanicula? Could trade against Burnout from HiB (Origin&Steam) or 0,25 Amazon GC.

Nevermind.

Who the fuck is PewDiePie? And does he really like Showdown Effect? Or was that just a game that paradox was willing to give away so they threw it in there?

At this rate Humble Bundle is going to be worst then Indie Face Kick. Their game selection is still good, but the people behind the bundles lately are horrible.

Who the fuck is PewDiePie? And does he really like Showdown Effect? Or was that just a game that paradox was willing to give away so they threw it in there?
Some guy who only has 12 million subscribers on the youtubes. His playthroughs are more annoying than entertaining though.

He is a terrible youtuber who likes to play games with a webcam while screaming and yelling about rape. I am not making this up. He is everything that is wrong with Youtube right now.

I'm only missing showdown effect and I can't see spending a dollar on future indie gala fodder

Maybe ill troll the trade forum for a copy

Or someone will just PM me a code

That'd be swell

I like Thomas was Alone enough that I'm happy to see it show up in just about any bundle- so long as there are separate keys- so that I can gift it out.

He sounds like a real winner. Just the sort of guy Humble should be proud to partner up with.

Thanks to you and Gotdott for cluing me in to who he is. The only time I ever visit YouTube is check for videos on how to assemble\fix something. So I had no shot of knowing who this clown is.

I watched about a minute of his Saints Row IV character creation video before deciding that his immaturity charity doesn't need my support. I don't mind a gameplay video every now and then to see if I'd be interested in a purchase, but this dude is a joke. I'll be sticking to the HIMYM bros, thank you very much.

Hilarious seeing all the Pewdiepie hate in here. I won't even argue whether his contributions are worthwhile, but to have 12 million subscribers (2nd most on YouTube) must mean you're doing something right. The guy is making a living playing video games. Any of you fuckers in here would throw yourselves at the chance to do the same. Not going to hate on a guy for marketing himself and finding success.

Hmm, so you're saying that just because there are 12+ million idiots in this world, we should respect this guy instead of thinking he's completely obnoxious. Ok I'm on board with that.

If that marketing involves blatant hate speech, then no, I would not throw myself at the chance to do the same.

"My opinion is more correct than someone elses opinion."

:dunce:
More correct than yours, anyway.
