Yes, but not in the sense that quality and sales success are equal.

They should be more concerned with software attachement rates. I have yet to meet a person who actually plays their Wii. The only games that sell on that Wii are shovelware and shit.

You are absolutely ridiculous.

B-B-B-B-Bayxter, I found that joint you're always repping.

What's it about again? I'm not familiar with Fellini at all outside of the big 3.

Not only are they not equal, they are probably inversely related.

High marketshare gives you a much lower quality for the overall library. Being niche is definitely good if you are being served by that niche.

I vitelloni is a coming of age character study.

I own it, but I've yet to see it. Sleepy is the one who reps that to death.

And what is that screenshot of?
Yeah, rather than enjoying them.

That's the DMK, dallow, NeoGAF philosophy.
Why do I always get lumped into this?
Or NeoGAF as well, 1% of their threads have to do with sales. Just like this site.

ah, ok.

Software Units sold from Launch through 18 Months:

Wii - 50 million (not including Wii Sports or VC)
X360 - 28 million
PS3 - 20 million
PS2 - 42 million

Haha.

When was the last time I talked about game sales?
Actually, I did write about how I was glad The World Ends With You on DS was doing ok it seemed in sales.

Oh shit!

Brak's got it right.
I care about graphics only.

Dang, I can't believe I'm gonna watch it before you, you're the Fellini dude, mang.

The Wii number includes Wii Play I'm guessing. As I said before that was a very crafty move by N to skew the software sales numbers in their favor.

True. Wii is #1. Saw a family buying about 10 of those 19.99 games like Ninjabread Man, Cruis'n, Smarty Pants, Carnival Games. Can't go wrong with any of those titles.

Smarty Pants is just $20 now? That's a steal.

Theres a slight difference between "skewing in your favor" and nearly doubling your competitors.

I wouldn't doubt that, albeit a whole different point from the fact that you don't really play video games.

From how you forcefully depict yourself on the Internet, I can only come to the conclusion that you are very superficial when it comes to video games.

In reality, I pretty much only play GBA/DS and PSP games now. I just never talk about it because no one ever does.
It's a chore for me to sit at my couch and turn on my consoles.

Worst part is, I bought that DVD, like, three years ago and it is still sealed.

I was surprised they made no mention of the 60GB 360 and the 20GB fire sale.

I guess that doesn't look great for business, but still, thought they'd mention something.
Completely superficial.
You don't need to smugly confirm it -- or even verbally confirm it, for that matter.
So what's up with the Netflix stuff?
If you have a Netflix account, you can watch your queue on the 360 instead of waiting for discs to arrive.
Is it even possible to be superficial about a video game?
Was that a legitimate question, or are you just being ironic?
Worst part is, I bought that DVD, like, three years ago and it is still sealed.
Brak is like me, with console games.
If you have a Netflix account, you can watch your queue on the 360 instead of waiting for discs to arrive.
I think it only applies to what's available in its instant watch section.
Does everyone in the party have to have a netflix account to watch a movie?
Nope, just the host.

You guys know that Netfilx's Instant Watch thing isn't that hot, right? Basically no new releases except for the occasional indie film, only about 10% of their whole catalog is accessible and it's almost all SD only. The good thing is that they have a lot of recent television programs, like Dexter and City of Men(I believe.)
Was that a legitimate question, or are you just being ironic?
No. It was a legitimate question. I think the vast majority of active CAGs are way beyond casual gamers which to me implies a greater understanding of video games as a whole. Or am I being too generous with my assessment of others?

Awesome.

Hmm. That has nothing to do with anything.

...

Anyway.

To answer your question:
Someone could have a superficial outlook on video games by only playing games with - what they think is - great graphics, or only playing games with - what they think is - rich storylines, etc.
