I got a free copy of Tactics Ogre GBA from Gamershare

i dont think they even know how to run a site.

Animal crossing Ds isnt even in stock Yet they have it in my

PICKED TO RECIVED

meaning maybe they are going to be getting some

cause the rest of my games that are not in stock are still in just the want list

until i get at least 2 games (None so far) I wont ship nothing else out. unless its a junk sport s game

No site is perfect, but I keep telling you, go to Switchdics.com if you want to actually be able to talk to the people you're trading with and set your own point values. I have 80 of my games available there right now.

OK, here is my experience with this site.

A little over a week ago, I selected MGS3:Snake Eater as the game I wanted to receive. It took over 24 hours for the status to turn into "Pending". Once it got into pending status, it sat there for several more days. Finally, the status changed to mailed on Monday Aug 14. I finally received my game in the mail today on Friday Aug 18.

The game was a full copy with box and instruction book. The game was not scratched, but it was dusty. I will make sure it works before leaving feedback. As of right now, my points have not been deducted. I suppose that they will be deducted once I leave feedback.

Overall, I like the fact that I got a totally free game, but on the other hand, it was frustrating b/c it took FOREVER.

finally had a game turn to pending and move from picked to the mailed game box. I know it may not ship although it does make me happy to see some movement finally.

If I get it I will list a game and keep trying to use the site.

Regarding Shadow of the Colossus....

The commitment that was received to mail the requested video game below could not be completed by the sender and we apologize for this inconvenience. Our GameMatch trade engine will attempt to find a replacement within the next 48-hours or the next video game on your 'Picked Games' will be sent.

Bull-shit.... It's a shame I've already traded away two games and am now stuck with points on there.

same.. hope you didnt spend too much on those games,

games i traded off so far

Ape escape psp (got it for 8 bucks shipped on ebay)
Blitz the leauge ps2 got it for 9 bucks)

up to 20 pts. though i should be getting Advance wars Ds sometime in the next week

They should of done a double the points with your first trade, so people at least put up a game . Seem many are just grabbing their 9 free pts getting a free game and then leaving.

I would had up to 38 pts but i cancelled two trades (since im not getting nothing im not sending more out)
I cancelled SSX PSP and Prince of perisa for DS ... If i start getting games then i will relist them

I also got the same response as sp00ge on my copy of Pirates of the Caribbean Dead Man's Hand on the PSP that was Pending/Mailed since Monday. I am pissed because later that night I saw Fight Night and Oblivion for the 360 and was stuck not being able to cancel and now since they raised the points, both are more than the 9 points they originally were.
I listed Virtua Fighter 4 if anyone is interested. I requested KOF: Maximum Impaxt Manix.
I picked Virtua Fighter 4.

I'm glad none of the games I put up were ever requested, or I would be super pissed.
Seriously you can't blame CAGs for just taking a free game then leaving. Considering the trouble most are having just getting their one free game(with traders pulling out of trades at the last minute or whatever), I don't blame them for not wanting to risk putting up games for points that they can't use.

Goozex at least cleaned up their act a little(I actually got two orders to go through) so I relisted a few trades there. If Gamershare can figure out a way to deal with this(and other problems) then I'll definitely re-post some trades here.
this site is perfect : )

LOL
This site sucks for trading. I wish CheapyD would start a trading site. It's impossible for me to find what I'm looking for in the forums...I don't want to read 200 threads every day and the search function is worthless.

We need a searchable database of games people have and games people want, and a built-in offer system instead of using private messages. I have 15 trades here in a year, which is pretty damn low for me. I tend to do 50 trades a month on other sites.

"Forever" seems to be around one week for your explanation. What pisses me off is when I send a game right away, it gets there in 3 days via first class, and the person I sent it to takes a week to leave me feedback so I can get my points to spend on something else. I've been waiting for 5 days now for some guy on Switchdiscs to log into the site and confirm he received my game that I know he got because I used delivery confirmation.

Yo Chowder, sorry to hear you've been having so much trouble on these game trade sites. It seems that this is just not a great way to score cheap games in the long run. Plus, it is always more fun in my opinion to go bargain hunting and just have a great deal fall in your lap. Searching through bargain bins in almost worth spending $5 when you find something cool. Anyway, I still have a copy of Minority Report waiting for you if you ever want it. LOL!!!

yup this sucks.

I selected yet ANOTHER game today to get as my first game.... and it happened AGAIN! This makes three in a row.

I got an email saying that the trader had committed to shipping me the game, and sure enough earlier tonight I get another email(just like the ones I had got before) stating that the trader would not be able to follow through on shipping the game to me. They also say that I should select something else from my want list, but this is impossible because the game is still showing as "processing" and I cannot delete it.

..incredible... simply incredible.

yeah I hear ya. I'm pretty sure there is some guy who posts games on these sites just to pull them mid trade..... and he's laughing right now....

well i went with golden sun for 5pts...the site is a little confusing as far as picking games. its like they are in a waiting line or something. if you have an unavailable game ahead of an available game, the one not available shows picked to recieve and the other is on a wishlist...like its waiting for the other to be received in the future. i'll post back with good/bad news.

goozex hasn't produced any good results so far either.

what games are you picking

if it was one of mine (probally not cause i cancell as soon as they went though , SSX tricky PSP and Prince of persia DS cancelled both on Thursday)

i cancelled cause i got tired of sending games out and getting nothing in return. SO maybe its just like that.

nah it was Call of Duty: Big Red One(GC) so I don't think it was one of yours.

It was cancelled yet it is still "available"......... WTF??

Got in on Perfect Dark Zero last night, and today it got cancelled. Now I'm stuck in the pending/not available spot, so my points are stuck in limbo.

This is getting ridiculous

Yep, it still showing as "Mailed to me" but I received an email several hours ago saying it was cancelled. if I add anything else, it goes into my wishlist, since the 9 points I have are being held by the cancelled PDZ. They still show in my account, however.

And it figures, Ace Combat 5 was just made available again.. and it went right to my wishlist... damn it.

My status went from pending to confirm, I am assuming this is good? The date mailed still says in progress so I dont know if he mailed it or not.
what was the turnaround time?
game mailed out weds got it today. so 3 days

Talk about BS. I confirm i got the game and they Take 9 pts from me. now im down to 11 pts. They ripped me off 9 pts.

so i guess its better not to confirm you got the games

that's good because I think that means the guy has accepted the transaction. Hopefully the seller won't pull out of the deal before it ships.

haha!

I'm in the same boat. I shot them an email about freeing up my points so I could grab something else while it's still in-stock, but no response so far this time.

This site is soooooo going under. I can't believe they expect people to trade on a site where it's almost impossible to complete a transaction. Goozex had pissed me off before but at least they cam to CAG, listened to their customers, and immediately implemented changes. My transactions have went as smooth as glass over the last week there.

Not sure if its been mentioned yet, but the free points given at registration is now 5. Not that it matters, since nothing that I'm really interested in seems to be available anyway.

Is there any games left on the site avaiable that isn't a bad licenese title? I tried looking in the GBA, PS2, Gamecube, and DS..but everything I see is crappy license games, Dragon Ball Z stuff, or old and forgoten 1st party games (F-Zero Maximum Velocity).

the reason there is not good games is because retarded people sign up, get a free game, and leave. C'mon guys, just put in one of your games. Just because your a cheap ass gamer, doesn't mean you have to be a sore loser.

And it seems that myself and a few others that are putting up games are getting screwed. I put up and already mailed out two games, and every single game I tried to get got canceled on. I'm not putting on any other games until I get at least one game in my hands.

Honestly, I don't see a problem with what people are doing. It's a bad promotion for yet another "trade for credit" site, and people ate it up. I've griped about Switchdiscs having a so-so selection to choose from and some members pricing their stuff way too high, but Gamershare shouldn't be pricing the games so that a game like Cubivore (a somewhat rare game) costs the same as Madden 2004. People are going to be uneasy about putting their more valuable games up. Honestly, if someone could develop a site for CAGs to use or perhaps recommend one good tradesite that everyone here can access, that would be clutch.

BTW, if someone here decides to put Cubivore on this site for me, I'd really appreciate it. In return, I will supply you with 5 credits on this site and you can go find something you like.

here's a goozex update.

today, i changed my requested games up a bit...i only have 200 points from the initial joining.

anyways,
Armed and Dangerous 100pts will be shipping 08/22

I just requested LoTR: Battle for Middle Earth for 100pts. i'll post back when i get ship date.

Gamershare has still not notified me of Golden Sun being shipped.

One thing about Goozex that I don't like...NO gba or ds games...AND you don't get to view the condition of the game you are receiving. just having one of the current gen systems really limits you especially when it is the xbox and you are not interested in playing 2001 sports games

well I finally got a resonse to my email I sent to Gamershare. I had asked them to explain what keeps going wrong and they sent me this description of the trading process:

The "Mail It Now" process is as follows:

Sender Progression:
1 - E-mail notification sent and the game moves from the "Listed to Trade" to the " Need to Mail " list.
2 - Completes the "Mail It Now" request and "Commits to Send" to requested game to the other member.
3 - Updates the game status to " Mailed" when the games has been shipped successfully.
4 - GamePoints are added to account when the video game has been "Confirmed as Received" by recipient.

Receiver Progression:
1 - Game moves from the "Picked to Receive" to the " Mailed to Me" list with a status of "Pending."
2 - Email notification sent and the game status changes from "Pending" to "Committed " awaiting the game to be mailed.
3 - E-mail notification sent and the game status changes from "Committed" to " Confirm" awaiting the game to be delivered.
4 - GamePoints are deducted from account when video games is "Confirmed as Received" and added to sender's account.

NOTE: The GameMatch engine will attempt to find a replacement with 48-hours for any trade that is auto canceled (request never acknowledged by sender in 16 hours ) or the trade is manually canceled by the sender (before or after they "Committed to Send" the video game).

They canceled my game so I can hopefully find another.... and maybe have the sender actually SEND it.

hope this helps everyone.

Like the others have said, and if you had read any of the previous posts, you'd know that some people have been listing their games. However it really does not make sense to list and trade games for points if YOU CANNOT USE THEM.

I have personally failed to make it through the process 3 times. I convinced my sister-in-law to sign up and grab a game for her husband... she has tried twice. Then you have all the people here who have posted their experiences.

I hope I can get a free game, but even if I do I have no intention of trading anything until they fix the process.

From reading this thread, it seems like a lot of the cancelled games are users here cancelling trades on people. I doubt if there are many users on Gamershare that aren't from CAG.

I didn't list any of my games until I received a game first, and that's the advice I passed on to everyone else. Request your free game. When you RECEIVE a game, list a game or two of your own. After you send and receive a second game, list some more, and so on.

I'm not sure why anyone would list games without having received any...that's putting too much faith in a new site.

Well, one of the games I sent out I got for next to nothing from Blockbuster with the massive credit I got during the Red Ninja trade deal. The other went to a fellow CAG, so I don't mind.

I just wish my points would get freed up.

I've requested five games and three of them got cancelled for whatever reason. I have two as "Comitted" right now, but not shipped. That's as far as I've gotten in the process, but I'm not holding my breath at this point. I was going to list some games, but not if I'm just going to get dicked around anytime I request a game.

If anyone actually has 11 points, it looks like Dirge of Cerberus is up. I don't doubt the person will cancel as soon as someone requests it, but just thought I'd mention it.

So I finally have a trader that has "committed" to a trade(we'll see how that goes) so I decided to put up one game for trade. It was requested immediately but I have a question..

under the person's name is "GID:" and then some numbers, does anyone know what this is for?
Also the guy's address is a P.O. Box. I've never shipped to one and was wondering if that is in any way different and if Delivery Confirmation would still work or not.
I know it least I would be screwed about getting my points until the guy decided to pick up his mail.

any help would be appreciated.

thanks

That really has nothing to do with Goozex or Gamershare though, as it's all in the luck of the draw. Anyone that requested my games or several other user's games from CAG got them shipped out right away with no problem on both sites. I'm not sure what you expect any site to do when people aren't shipping what they say they're shipping. It's not really their fault. I do think they should automatically cancel the trade if it hasn't been confirmed shipped within around 5-7 days though.

I still would advise you not to send any games until you receive one. This will save us from having to hear more whining when your game is inevitably cancelled. Heh. To answer your question, yes delivery confirmation works to post office boxes and the GID number is just the ID number for the trade. I didn't put mine on my address label but it wouldn't hurt anything if you did. The post office would just ignore that line of the address.

Dirge of Cerberus is in my list. I have 16 points, but I still have 9 tied up in that cancelled PDZ deal that still haven't been freed up. That is getting fucking aggrivating. I've sent an email to them regarding it, but have yet to hear anything.
