I didn't think I was whining in all seriousness. I thought all my complaints were pretty valid, as were my comments about Goozex being more "on the ball" with fixing their site's problems and listening to their customers.

Most of the responses from Gamershare, while fairly prompt, have been vague and less than helpful. They also didn't seem too concerned with the fact that lots of people were backing out of their trades at the last minute.

Anyways hopefully a trade will finally go through for me.

My latest attempt (Battlefield: MC for xbox) just cancelled on me after going to "committed" the other day. This is almost as comical as it is infuriating... is that my 4th or 5th attempt? I've lost track...

I will keep trying until I get my free game, then no more.

You put your real name in as your mailing address when you signed up, right? The only games I've cancelled on people have been fake names. Other than that, you just seem to have the worst luck of anyone in the world.

anyone play Ridge racer DS and think the game moves way too fast. It hurts my eyes. (might have an eye problem starting)

yup I used my real name. What kind of fake names have you been getting?? haha! I knew it, people ARE joining this site just to mess with our heads.

anyways I got a response from Gamershare customer support that they will be updating how the trade process works over the next couple days. They said they will suspend the accounts of people that back out of trades repeatedly, and that they will be adding a way for you to cancel out of waiting for a game trade that does get cancelled. No more sitting "in process" for 48 hours!

This is a positive sign that they ARE going to attempt to make changes.


....and yes I think I am the unluckiest person that has joined this Gamershare.
 
goozex sent me an email today saying i didn't have enough credit to complete my transaction. i put up a couple of games so i didn't have to acttually buy the points needed. it seems they want to get you into the microsoft marketplace points deal, where you always have some change. i just want to buy 1 trade credit, but they sell them in lots of 5...no thanks.

on goozex, does the sender and requestor both get charged the $1 or just the requestor?
 
Apparently my Viewtiful Joe (GC) showed up while I was away this weekend. Complete and in very good condition (manual flawless, disc clean of any scratches, case in good shape considering how old the game is). As soon as I verify that it plays in my Cube, I am a satisfied customer. I will likely list my disc-only copy on there on the off chance that the points I get will enable me to get one of the 9 point games that I really want.

I had originally put up an xbox game and a couple GBA games when I first joined gamershare but pulled them down after the second game I tried to get was denied. I then recently re-added an xbox game to my list because it looked like my transaction for a game was going to go through, but pulled it after I was yet again screwed by a trader..... and the name/address I got from the guy who wanted MY game was kind of questionable.

I am not here just trying to get a free game. I have every intention of trading on this site once they fix there problems, which it looks like they are.

I had similar bad experiences on Goozex, I pulled my trades but returned and have done a bunch of trades there. I plan on doing the same on Gamershare , I am not just here to get a freebie.

Supposedly this will change over the next couple days. People who repeatedly refuse to trade games from their list will have their accounts suspended. So hopefully Gamershare will actuallybe a good place to trade stuff.. eventually.
 
My first game to go to pending status then committed becomes a no go. I guess another person will not ship a game.

What a waste of time.

When will this beta end? I am waiting for ANY 360 game to go available but none are, so should I just pick up some other PS2 game or somethin?

i say it be in beta at least for few months. Gooxe or whatever its called i think came out before this at least a month ahead and that is still in beta.

If i had to guess i say it be until at least jan 2007 before it comesout
 
Ugh, I just mailed one game out today, Virtua Fighter 4, and I still have yet to get one game. I wanted KOF : Manix but that got canceled and now Jade Empire got canceled. Any decent games are now gone and I am out one game.
 
I'm getting really upset. I add stuff when its available, then check back 5 hours late just to see its now a 'short wait' or 'unavailable'

Its happened at least 7 times now.

mercenaries for xbox was available last time i checked.

yup. Unfortnately some traders on Gameshare will cancel out of the transaction even after having comitted to shipping.

Some people have received games from the site so we know that there are at least a few traders actually willing to ship. Plus there are some CAGs with games posted, so if you are lucky enough to get matched with them then you are set.

nah, your game will show "processing" for the next 48 hours and then will get bumped... then you'll have to choose a new game. Until then your points will be unavailable to you. Until they change things the only way to free up those points(besides waiting the 48 hours) is to contact them and request that they cancel that trade request.

well my game is still stuck in process. (2nd day) there is no way this game is going to ship (It sells for 40 to 60 on ebay) unless the game is broken


i think they need to start doing this



Cancell 5 games per month in the first stage (accept ) get banned

Cancell 2 games after you comitt to ship gets ban



if they have no intent to ship out then why the hell do they confirm
 
One of my "Committed" games went to "Confirm", but the ship dates all say "In Process". This is like the fifth or sixth time I've tried to get something without success so far.
 
well...my streetfighter AC is now being cancelled according to the email. when does the gamershare system cancel my request and go for the next game on my list?

48 hours unless you contact them to cancel out your game request.
 
UPDATE: I sent an email to Gamershare requesting that the 'mailed' game to be deleted since I got an email saying the sender couldn't send, and here is the reply they gave me:
Hi Colin,

Per your request, the trade request has been canceled. In addition, please note, changes to the "Mail It Now" process will be implemented in the coming days to make it easier for members to choose different games when these circumstances occur.

Well i got up this morning to find that

dark alliance 2 playstation 2 has been confirmed and shipped AUG 22

if i really get the game and it plays I will be relisting at least 3 of my major items . Hell the game fetches 30 to 50 bucks on ebay and im very shocked that someone will part with it FOr 5 POINTS

hopefully have it in hand by the weekend ....

so after this i still should have 31 pts
 
well gamershare now has done 3-4 cancellations on my request

goozex game is supposed to be here soon. i had another pick to spend the leftover points, but i refuse to give $5 at this point for 5 trade points. i'd rather buy them one at a time.
