I had this game sealed for 2 xmases now and never tried it cause of the backlog. Well I ripped that sucker open 2 days ago and practically played it non stop. The story, characters, gameplay, everything was just top notch and this was made in 2007. I always heard great things but never believed it for some reason. My lady was just watching me play for the first few hours because the story just latches on to you with the many cut scenes (not annoying) and flowing game play.

I know this game is VERY good because I've been in a gaming slump for months and haven't been able to rock games for hours like I used to (exception of rhythm games). Well Uncharted remedied that problem.

If you haven't played this yet (probably not too many of ya), go get it and get your game on. Make sure to play it on hard . I plan on owning 2 and the third one when it comes out because this is definitely a game that has alot of work put into it. I believe I may even get 3 on launch to support the Uncharted team.
2's much better. play it immediately
hes right i played 2 before i played 1 and i liked one but you can tell how much they improved the game by playing both especially when it came to combat the grenade control jumped by leaps and bounds from 1 to 2 as did the shooting.

Yeah, a ton of little things like that made part 2 a vast improvement over the 1st one. I realized this after playing U2 and replaying U1 over again about a month ago.

Pulling people down, sneaking behind people and taking them down, the gunshot sound effects, sound effects in general, more lifelike eyes, the improvement in general to the melee system. Better pacing in terms of the game didn't feel like you were just moving area to area mowing down an army of grunts over and over again in U2.

I really hope U3 continues these improvements, and so far from the little featurettes it seems like they are right on track.

I had the opposite reaction--I felt so "meh" toward Uncharted that I almost never even booted up my copy of Uncharted 2... thank goodness I didn't make that mistake :)

i still havent checked these games out yet...played the demo of two but then just kinda forgot about it...guess i will play one first...gonna check the market now...cml if you want to trade your copy

I think I may be the only one who actually likes uncharted 1 over 2. I played them both back to back, 1 then 2... and I still came back to one. Theres something about it, be the setting, story, ...the shirt animation that wasn't in 2!!!!

I loved 2, but it didnt give me as good of a feeling as one did. I felt like 2 was trying too hard at points and it kind of took me out.

Im in the minority here though, but there are people who prefer 1.

I cant wait for 3 either way haha

I actually liked the first uncharted a tad more than the second.

The first game I felt more connected to the main characters involved, although I admit the second game had a fantastic variety of set pieces.

After a long break from serious console gaming (rougly 6 years), Uncharted 2 was my first game back. What an excellent way to break the ice. I knew that I was about to experience a great game. However, when the last action-adventure title I had finished was Jak and Daxter way back in 2002, I wasn't ready for the production values I would be experiencing.

Upon completing Uncharted 2, I immediately picked up Uncharted 1 and am currently on my first play through of that. This game is also a treat.

Comparisons? Uncharted 2 is definitely more polished concerning graphics and the overall presentation of the game. I have been liking UC1's storyline a bit more so far, and I think UC1's cut scenes have been slightly better.

Uncharted 3 is definitely on my play list this fall. Naughty Dog has produced some of my favorite games of all time. As a producer, they are certainly one of my favorites.

So can we all agree that..

Uncharted 1 - Better Storyline
Uncharted 2 - Better Gameplay

Both equally awesome.

I vote yes.

Sorry I vote no.

Uncharted 2 is just more awesome

Im With JG5253 on this one.

No contest Uncharted 2 is gameing in it's purest raw fun.

just a side note, fans should really check out Enslaved odyssey to the west. The story and graphics are great and the platforming is similar

IMO, platforming was the worst part of UC2, since it wasn't really platforming. You point Drake/Monkey in the direction of something you want to jump on, and you push X. No timing or precision required. I still thought UC2 was great though.

Story is decent in Enslaved and graphics are great. I'd recommend Enslaved at $15, nothing more.

I stand in total agreement there. The game really holds your hand during platforming experiences. It seems that you just need to test if a given ledge is actually the one they want you on or not. It has little to do with distance or height, but everything to do with the path Naughty Dog has determined to advance to your next epic firefight.

Gunplay is the focus of the game. While the platforming is very good (some epic climbing sequences in UC2 (i.e. Mountaineering)), it is just a means to and end.

I got the first Uncharted a short time ago. Didn't have my PS3 hooked up to the internet while playing it, beat it....and never got any trophies

My PS3 gets very little play time but Uncharted is the only game I finished for the system. One of my favorite games on any console. I just loved the characters, the dialogue and the gameplay. I recently ordered Uncharted 2 so I'm looking forward for that being the second PS3 game I complete.

I haven't opened my U2 yet but I feel Uncharted 1 was over-hyped. Not way over hyped like say Black but it was a tad over hyped. I was expecting a game to blow my mind like when I played that Sands of Time demo and the first time you his the rewind. Still Uncharted was a great game and it was only slightly over hyped. Once I pulled back my expectations on what the game was it was immensely enjoyable.

I loved Uncharted 1 and played through it maybe 5 times back when it came out. I only liked Uncharted 2 for some reason.
