I'm bored, let's talk fighters 15th Anniversary Collection!

Didn't realize Comic Con was so soon... hope some good anime licenses get announced. Or at least that Sony says something about Blood+ DVDs.

nah, no one played alpha 3 because as major tournaments began moving to console, there was too much fighting over which version of a3 to use.

as for that video, i hate it because i can't do crouch cancels that aren't ryu's and they make karin's VC look so easy =P i think i finally got it... but it's still at 25% now.
 
I hope I'm not asking in the wrong spot, but what are some online fighting games for the PS2? The only one I know of is MK:Deception. I ask because my XBL account has run out...
 
I don't think there are any... I dunno about the MK series because I avoid that like the plague, but Tekken, Soul Calibur, and all the 2D fighters in the US haven't had an online mode.

Thats what I kinda figured. I totally forgot about the list of online games thats on wikipedia. You know, that what would be a good thing to put on the CAGwiki. A list of online games for each system.

To be honest, I have thought about getting Deception for my PS2, and use my Codebreaker to just unlock the other fighters. I've all ready done so on my xbox, no way am I doing it all over again on another system. It almost seems like an untapped market on PS2 for online fighting games. Then again it seems the only games people play online with the PS2 are sports games.
 
I have yet to try the online stuff in the new MKs, but plan to since I finally have broadband once Armageddon comes out. Yes the series is not like it use to be or as deep as it was, but it's still a very enjoyable game. It's one of those games that are more enjoyable if you realize it's not trying to be the best fighter, but just enjoyable. Good pastime though.

I am, though, looking forward to UMK3 on Xbox Live when it's out... I will get my ass handed to me so badly on it, but I won't care just because I am playing UMK3 online :) (still need a 360, but by then I will have one for sure).
 
I decided to scrap my SF Anniversary stick mod idea, and go with a custom stick.

Two of my friends have offered to partially pay for the cost (for my birthday), so I am in the talks with a stick maker on artwork, joystick, buttons and so on.

I am very excited. :)

Also I never knew you could do those kind of things in SFA 3. Insane.

I would go custom, but I really need the multi console compatability - and I haven't been able to find a PS2 -> Xbox converter with a decent reputation.

The majority of the fighting games I play are on PS2 or Dreamcast. Since I'm fine with playing KOF games on the regular PS2 pad, I thought I'd get something for Capcom fighting games.

Played a ton more of T: DR on Network play with 2 UMDs tonight again.

It was much better this time around, less laggier.

There were sometimes where it would slow down.

I noticed since we were playing by my CPU the first time it was really slow, and so laggy.

But when we went outside to my backyard it was much better. It should be decent to play outside or when you're out with a friend.

Yeah, Roufuss had a 10 game losing streak. Which was interesting because I've never seen such a thing happen =P

Anyway, is anybody buying the Garou Densetsu Archives (the Fatal Fury Collection?) I'm sorta on the fence about it because I haven't really played much of the original FF games... when the Real Bout collection comes out though, I'm buying that immediately.

well, it looks like the left speaker on my psp has been busted and there are drop marks on it that I never noticed. yay, I love talking with sellers on ebay about refunds (read: them not responding until you threaten a chargeback) :roll:

Yeah, I've made it a point for myself to never buy used portables since they always have a higher chance of being nerfed than a home console. GL on the discussion and if you need a second voice, feel free to give me a hoot for backup.

well, I may be getting a review copy of the Super DBZ game comming out even thouh I have no interest in DBZ and very basic knowlage of the series... I'll probably have to review it from the "I am new to DBZ" angle... hopefully I wont come off as too much of a DB idiot, but I probably will with good intention :)

That's actually a lot more useful... I'm far less interested in which characters are included and who's faithful to their role in the show/manga than I am in knowing how this ranks as a fighting game. This seems like the first legitimate attempt at a fighting game for DBZ so I'm pretty optimistic and I'm really only concerned with gameplay... which I think is how a lot of people on the fence about this game are.

Yeah, that's the main reason why I am at all interested. My friend forced me to play all the other DBZ games, and I never liked any of them alot really. This one looks like it may be deep enough to enjoy, but I guess we'll see.

Preview night for Comic-Con was awesome.

Capcom has the best gaming related booth in my opinion. They have tons of retro stuff for sale it's amazing! Bunch of Japanese Rock Man and Street Fighter stuff on display. It's going to be a long weekend.

To those of you that PM'd me about getting stuff, I haven't had a chance yet. I'll keep you all updated.
 
I didn't know they sold cool stuff at Comic Con (though I suppose it should've been assumed.) Hmm... any other stuff of note they'll have for sale there?
 
There's a bunch of stuff from Square Enix and Kotobukiya, Final Fantasy stuff etc. Capcom has the best stuff for sale like I've mentioned.

I ended up doing small purchases today, got 2 decks of Tekken 5: Epic Battles cards and a box of boosters. The real shoppin' starts tomorrow. :)

Nuby's got a Street Fighter Anniversary stick listed on their site now that uses Happ parts... would that be worth looking into for my first stick?
