KAPOW
Not yet. I'm hoping to spend around $50 shipped on a 1-slot, but prices seem all over the place on Ebay. I checked out the Neo Geo forums, but they seem to go quick. I'm hoping to get one sometime after I get the Supergun, which should hopefully be late next week if all goes well.
I think the D-Lite Supergun I'm getting is wired for 5 buttons. The seller was telling me that CPS3 boards are hit or miss with it, but it runs MVS and Atomiswave perfectly. Are Atomiswave carts still way expensive? ($80-400+)[/quote]
Is the seller infindito? The component gun? D-lite does exceptional work, but will occasionally release a supergun with some slight compatibility issues which seems to be the case there.
If it only runs 5 buttons, you wont need to worry about cps3 stuff anyways.* 1-slots vary in price because of the various models. If you're looking at the compact ones, you can forget paying $50 shipped as people (like me) use them for consolization projects. MV1 (the huge one) and MV1F can often be had at lower prices since they are less desirable for projects.
If you have any trouble, message seller run4border on ebay. He has a seemingly endless stock of random 1 slots and metal slug 2 and x cartridges.
The newest/most popular atomiswave are still very expensive. (Metal Slug 6, Samurai Shodown 6) If interested, I can send you a current price list for a Japanese supplier. They generally have the lowest costs.
*As a precaution, don't get into CPS3 unless you have your heart set on it. The boards are very expensive and very fragile.
