Wish I would have known! I didn't know they did deeper discounts for more gifts. I already purchased at $1 buck, but I think I'll let you fill up your 20 slot group buy and then I will also do one after yours fills up to see if there is enough interest to do another one of 20. I might do one myself either way and give the others out as gifts to friends.

I'm not going to pre-reserve slots because I have limited availability tomorrow if that's when it drops, and have had a lot of bad luck with people backing out of slots they've promised to buy on other things in the past. I can guarantee that I will be buying at least one group of 20 when they put happy hour online though.

God damn it, I feel like I need a doctoral degree just to figure out how the hell these happy hours worked. It seriously is one of the most convoluted systems with not well documented rules that I have come across in a long time.

Yes. Genocidal pointed that out. So my plan right now is that Genocidal host the first 20 Pack and once he's filled up I will host a 20 pack myself. Any leftovers for me I will just give out to friends and probably set a side 5 for the steam group. So that's the plan!

The "gift packs" are disabled during Happy Hour. You can't stack the two discounts. At least, that's how it's worked in the past.

Yes they do. The free gift copies basically mirror the original copy you are buying at the time of the happy hour so if you beat the average then all the gift copies will get those bonuses and if you don't then they won't.

Generally speaking people who do the group buys beat the average because when you divide up the per copy happy hour price the per bundle price is pretty low even with the average bonuses.

I'm thinking it might be a good idea for people hosting group buys for the current bundle to update the OP with how many spots they have open so all the info is in one spot and easy to find. It might even be worth having people post in the spoilerized older bundles if they have leftovers available. What does everyone think?

Bolded for emphasis. Please don't PM me asking for slots right now! If the 20 gift group buy was not a glitch, rest assured that there will be plenty of bundles for everyone who is interested. Hopefully I'm almost done tweaking the OP after importing a lot of data from the main thread. Would it be good to add a spot listing who's hosting the current bundle?

I also had a crazy idea I wanted to get everyone's input on. It might be nice to have this thread be a resource for people trying to pick up older bundles. Just as an idea, I added a section to the spoilerized part of Indie Mobile 2 listing that I still have bundles available, how much and what payment method I'm looking for. If you all think it's a good idea, I'll add the section to all of the older bundles. If it's a crap idea, it's no problem to delete the couple lines.

I am planning to host one which is less "traditional". I am planning to host one which is close to 4-dollar-ish for each bundle (probably $3.50) . My feeling is that this bundle has so many surprising good games (Armored Princess, Star Wolves, Death to Spies, to name a few; not to mention Rig N' Roll alone worth 2 dollars ). The developers and the charity really deserve our money.

So, if you want to donate more (but less than the usual $6.80 single bundle), you can join my group buy. PM in advance so I can start organizing.
