Hmm, I went to five Best Buy stores in the Chicago area, today, until I finally found two Tekken 6 (Limited Edition Wireless Fight Stick) Bundles for the Xbox 360 at the last store. I didn't think, I was going to find one at all...:bouncy:

I only bought one, so there should be one still left at the Old Orchard, Best Buy for $29.99...:D

Hey guys, I'm sure you have seen this already from the deals page, but "Best Buy GAMER: $20 off Xbox Live 12Mo Gold Card instore only Expires 2/26/11 Show cashier 2248711 Conditions apply see store 4 details ". It works for one card at a time. I looked at the store locater that ltgeneralkasty posted and the Joust cards for $49.99 are at a number of stores in the city. This brings it to $30 a year, with the price hike it will be more difficult to find it at this price in the future. I was able to pick up 5 at an outlying store, a manager happened to be right there and allowed the use of the code for all 5 cards. VERY YMMV! That will keep me and my family set. The Joust cards are the way to go because the codes are still valid and the game is de-listed. This is the only way to purchase Joust now.

I jumped on this same exact deal when they ran it like 2 months ago. I'm good on Live till 2014 now. I think I've got some Joust codes sitting around somewhere if anyone is interested in those. At the time, there was a stack of Joust cards at every store I went to, making it easy to stock up. If you can't get away with using the text code multiple times on one transaction, just buy 1, get back in line, by another, and so on.

Oh, and the juy's still out on Rahm, for me at least. I'll give anyone a chance until they make things worse. Can't really complain, though, as I was part of the half of the city who decided not to vote today. Mentally spent lately, plus lazy, plus not informed enough to pass judgement on these guys. At least Mosely-Braun didn't win, bitch didn't even pay her taxes...unless we get in on that deal for a year or two, in which case I change my mind.

I live in the subs so it doesn't affect me. I certainly hope for the best for Chicago because I love this city and between it and the state, we are in some deep shit right now.

Watching that show is a bit jarring because the office they use for Gibbons is the hallway where I worked over the summer.

I remember they were filming this a week after some Jessica Biel flick.

Hmm, last night, I went to the Best Buy on North Avenue. I bought one 12 Month (Joust) Gold Subscription Xbox Live card. There are exactly six 12 Month Joust cards left...:D

Those who know.where old orchard mall is, the Sony style store is closing down everything is 30% off including games for ps3 and tvs. Got sharpshooter gun and killzone 3 for 70 bucks. And a 55 inch tv for a grand. Great deals stuff is going fast but sale started yesterday. Goodluck. Also 15% of ps3 systems too or any gaming hardware by Sony.

For all you Bruce Campbell fans, the Costco on Touhy in Niles had tons of Brisco County Jr. complete series DVD sets for 14.99 today.

Oh yeah, I know it could be hard for alot of you guys because it's a weekday, but I'll be hitting the galloping ghost on Tuesday afternoon, so stop on by if you wanna get a lesson in Marvel vs Capcom 3.

I'm literally at that Costco every day and I didn't see those Brisco sets. Last time I looked for them at the DVd table was Saturday, though.

A friend of mine sent me a pic mail Tuesday/yesterday of a whole box of them there. But when I went in Wednesday/today, they were all gone. He did hide one for me. So he found it for me and I bought it. If they turn back up or if they get more, I'll let you know.

Damn who the hell hoards a whole box of Bruce Campbell and denies the world of his greatness? Bastard. I hope he/she suffers in some way for that offense. Or I hope it just happened to be a whole bunch of passers-by noticing the great deal on this television classic and couldn't pass it up. More likely the former, unfortunately.

My Dad checked a couple of Costco's, but they didn't have the sets. I figured it was a 1 store deal, but he checked for me anyway (since I don't have a membership).

I'm starting to get hyped for C2E2! Any Battlefield fans in the area besides me? Well, here's something that might interest you:

Electronic Arts makes their C2E2 debut, giving fans an early chance to get their hands on the upcoming Battlefield 3! Battlefield 3 is based on the power of Frostbite 2, the next installment of DICE's cutting-edge game engine. This state-of-the-art technology is the foundation on which Battlefield 3 is built, delivering superior visual quality, an expansive sense of scale, massive destruction, dynamic audio, and incredibly lifelike character animations. As bullets whiz by, walls crumble, and explosions throw you to the ground, the battlefield feels more alive and interactive than ever before. In Battlefield 3, players step into the role of the elite US Marines where they experience heart-pounding single player missions and competitive multiplayer action in locations around the globe including Paris, Tehran, and New York City. Be one of the first to play Battlefield 3 at the EA Booth and duke it out in the Battlefield Gaming Lounge, featuring the critically-acclaimed Battlefield: Bad Company 2 - Vietnam expansion pack!
How much stuff was left? Worth making a trip for PS3 games?
Its bare pickings now. A few ps3 games left but a lot of classic hits, gt5 cE for $40 seemed like a nice deal. A bunch of move games available too. Ps3 systems with move for 300 bucks now too($100 off msrp).

It's now officially C2E2 week, so I thought I'd throw out there that I'll be there all weekend. If anyone is interested in meeting up, sharing finds, hitting the gaming booths, or just shooting the shit for awhile, or just passing by and saying hi, hit me up with a PM. I'll be there with 4 other people, most likely, but we usually all split for half the time anyway to do our own browsing, since I'm not much of a comic reader anymore(I do buy trades now and then to catch up on some stories that sound good), and the other guys I'm with aren't much for the action figures or gaming like I am. Panel-wise, I'll be in Walking Dead for sure, and I'll play it by ear for the rest. Should be a fun time.

hey all!

I managed to get an extra copy of dragon age 2 signature edition for xbox 360. I was going to put it on ebay and see what I can get for it but figured I would ask someone from Chicago if they wanted it. It would be 65.00 (my total was 64.79).

I would also trade for homefront which comes out tomorrow which would end up being an even trade for trade

let me know

ill be there sunday all day, with about 5 people as well.

I'll be there with 3 people only Saturday and I will be buying long boxes, so I probably won't be hanging out much. I will probably try to get a Danny McBride auto!

Oh. My dad was out of state and he found some Brisco County Jr sets. He said they had about 12-15. I had him pick up 4 (1 for me, 1 for my brother) so I have 2 available for trade if anyone still wants them.

sent you a pm for brisco county jr slowdive but for some reason called it donnie brisco in the message LOL. Hard typing AND LISTENING TO THE WIFE AT THE SAME TIME :)

Check out today's Chicago Tribune if you get a chance. Our favorite arcade is on the front page of Section 4 as well as page 6. They got some serious coverage. I keep telling myself to go there one of these days. Someday I will.....

I think with Spring Break this coming week it might be a good time to visit the Ghost with my daughter and soak in the nostalgia. And hit the Half Price Books in Countryside with the coupon.
I know this is not really game related but any good internet service for dsl beside at&t? They are making the cap to 150gb start may...
This actually IS very much game related, as I'm hooked up on Xbox Live for too many hours a week. I second this question. I switched from Comcast to DirecTV when I moved, so I lost Comcast's pretty good internet(allbeit capped as well, but I never came close to it, even with my heavy gaming/netflix useage) and went with AT&T, which is somehow only charging me 9.99 a month for the Elite service, don't ask me how but I'm not complaining. I heard something about this, but I've been busy this week(and this weekend with C2E2!), so I haven't scoped the details and how this may affect me. I know someone who works for Clear, but I still don't trust it enough myself(he's more of a cell phone guy but I think I can get some kind of hookup anyway). Anyone use Clear for internet, and how is it? Or any other provider for that matter besides Comcast/AT&T?

My friend is planning to switch provider to Earthlink. There's currently no cap/overage charge and the 6mbps rate is a 1yr contract for $40 per month with the 1st 3 months discounted to $20 being a new subscriber. I'm still undecided, but I hovered at 200gb bandwidth last month....sux!

Well, in january i hit like 260gb and last month I hit 180, so 150 is not going to cut it for me. A game or 2 from steam and some torrent anime and games and dlc... I can't even imagine.
I know this is not really game related but any good internet service for dsl beside at&t? They are making the cap to 150gb start may...
I'm a bit concerned with this as well, but I just switched over from 1.5Mbps AT&T DSL Pro to 12Mbps U-verse service, the latter with a supposedly 250GB cap (and some crazy difficulty to network with other wireless routers/switches). Been measuring Hulu as a video-streaming benchmark, and I might cut it close with other online activities and PSN/LIVE. Think or heard if they'd let me out of a 12-month contract if I begin to go over? I can still quit before 30 days are up, but not sure about the alternatives like Earthlink or possibly less reliable RCN for cable.

Any further thoughts in this thread would certainly be appreciated.
Any idea how much is u verse with internet only? Because I have direct tv and no need for their tv service.
Don't know if you have to check availability first, but try this link to filter for internet service only (for instance, Max Internet at 12Mbps runs for $30 per month for 12 months):

http://www.att.com/u-verse/shop/index.jsp?shopFilterId=500001

You can filter for different combinations of services (such as phone and internet) in the line for bundle comparisons.
At C2E2, Kenny fucking Powers signed my baseball!
I know it was a surreal experience. I got him to sign a ball and a playboy with a Kenny Powers promotional cover on it.

My brother also had a Baseball and he had to get it from the box on the floor. Here is their exchange:

Danny McBride "What are you doing down there Dude?"
My brother "Sorry. I'm getting my ball."
Danny McBride looks around..."This guys down here getting his balls! (laughing)"
