It's not the end of GGT 137, but you can see it from here

Deus Ex could really use a Melee attack.
I've finally got the money to potentially do a Giant Bomb sub, but I've got a few questions first for the subscribers here. How am I going to access the backlog videos that they don't put up on the site, like all of Dave's call-in show? I don't know why they haven't taken the time to put all of that stuff on the site under the subscribers tab.
They actually haven't started archiving that yet. But Dave said they that start sometime soon.

But what other videos are you talking about? Dave's Radio show is the only thing I can think if that isn't archived.
Friendly advice: Don't jump in like a maniac all day. Find other ways to get in... or occasionally let them come to you -- SF3's parry system abuses predictability -- so if you keep jumping in like a madman, not only can someone just parry (I suck at parrying), but they can change their spacing with a dash and punish with something.
Thanks, but I'm actually jumping by accident a lot. The d-pad on my new controller is surprisingly twitchy and it's hard to get used to. I totally suck at parrying, too. I just can't get into the timing of it.

I'm really liking Dudley. I can't get into any other characters, though.

I could've sworn that I saw one episode of the Radio Show on GB at some point that I don't see in the sub section, though I might've seen it somewhere else on the site.

The old Radio Shows and TNTs would be a good start and the long stream shows like Big Live Live Show, Live and the Kinect Marathon would be nice since they could do a better job than Justin.tv at breaking them up into sizable chunks. I thought I read that they had RSS feeds and/or some sort of access to the WM Justin.TV page to access all of the subscriber videos beyond what's on the site. Is that how I'd go about getting the Radio Show and all that?

Went to GS to trade in a couple of things and saw a huge pile of Deus Ex for PC! When I asked the manager about it he told me that they weren't opening them and taking the code out and were just shipping them out of the store the next day, he said it was a company wide thing, which surprised me a lot.
Why do you keep going there, seriously?!
Because it's down the road from me and I have preorders there.

GS decided to send the games back and not stock the PC version until SE gives them copies that don't include the Onlive dealie. fucking sore losers taking their ball and going home.

3S is wonderful and infuriating. I hope by this weekend more amateur players will have bought it so I'm no longer getting raped 80% of the time.

Yeah, I knew about them pulling codes and just read about them sending them back out. Pretty surprised that they're actually sending them back. I expected them to just not give a fuck.

Now that I think if it you may be right. I'll have to look around later for it.

I forgot the older tnts weren't up. But there is a topic on the forms that link to every show. As for the Kinect stuff, they do have some of it up on the site. But they have it separated by game instead of one show.
Dead Island.
Resistance 3.
Disgaea 4.

and maybe some other stuff? I'm not thrilled so far.
Ah, so nothing I want. Except for Bloodrayne of course.

It's really not that big of a deal. No company is going to sell a product that directly promotes a competitor. Do you think Kmart is going to sell items that have Wal-Mart coupons in them? It's just the usual rage from gamers who feel they're entitled to more than any other segment of the population is when it comes to be consumers.

Aren't they at least entitled to a voucher that was promoted to come with the game...?

Not selling it at all is acceptable. Opening the game and taking out the Onlive voucher isn't.

I don't see why GS cares to begin with. If someone is buying the game there, then they're already giving them their business. It's not like anyone is going to buy the game at GS then go download it off their service too.

I know I can get the TNTs on Justin.tv, but I'd prefer downloading/watching mp4 video than flash. Plus, the less I have to mess with multiple parts of the same videos and renaming all of them because they rarely bother changing the name of the feed.

The quick looks cover a smaller portion of the Kinect Marathon than all of the filler where they messed around with the various features and Vinny constantly pretends that he's in DBZ with the video feed of what the camera sees. They seem to want to offer archiving of streamed videos for subs, so they should do their best to get every little thing up there since some of this stuff isn't easy to find on their Justin.tv page after a certain point.

What's up with Dudley? Does he get tired mid-battle or was Joel just spacing out at random?

About to jump on 3s in a bit if anybody else wants to.

Yes, his stamina runs out and he can't do any specials at that point.

Oh yea, I added you on skype for our next skype chat.

I dunno, if I preordered @GS am I not entitled to get the game on release day? Kind of defeats the purpose of preordering if the store isn't going to sell you the copies. I bet 90% of GS's customer base isn't going to give a shit about onlive anyways. I know you've dealt with enough GS customers to know if that's true or not...

I might actually be getting better at 3s. Slowly but surely. Still can't do the dragon punch motion consistently during fights.

Finished Fable 3. I mostly liked it a lot though it went a bit down hill after
you become king. Got a little boring and I hated that you couldn't be good/generous and save your people if you didn't have millions of dollars of your own. So I got the "bad" good ending where I did all the generous stuff but nearly everyone died since the treasure was indebted. Oh well, I had no interest in playing any more after the credits rolled anyway!. :D
I'm noticing the way I hold the balltop affects the way I input my commands. I've been using the "eagle claw" for SSF4, but now I'm using the "wine glass" hold for more accurate inputs in SF3
My stick holding method was not covered in that video, I hold mine with my middle and index finger on top of the ball top, my other two fingers to the side, and my thumb just sits to the side and does nothing.

I thought that king morality balance thing would have been more interesting if you couldn't buy your way out of it. Most people I've talked to seem to have cheated the system by leaving their console on for a long time to gain a lot of cash and make the choices easy on themselves. I didn't do that though since I wanted it to be more interesting. I ended up making some unpopular decisions in order to save the people.
Aren't they at least entitled to a voucher that was promoted to come with the game...?
No. You're entitled to what Gamestop will give you and whatever deal they've worked out with Square Enix. GS purchased the product to sell and are allowed to do what they want with it. If there's a problem with a promotion then the publisher can choose to not do business with them, or take action depending on any agreements in place. A lot of people seem to have forgotten the publisher side. All this opening of the box and sending the product back to the publisher. It was all cleared with Square Enix who have admitted they never meant to put a competitor's coupon in the box.
ohh they are opening the box? yeah that's low...and pretty desperate of them.
I don't agree with the box opening and if customers were deceived that way, then that's bad. But if they were informed the box was opened and still bought it anyway, I don't give a shit. Especially since I'm sure that all these opened copies are still open just with a clear seal on them.

But they are getting it on release day. If you read the actual email posted in the articles it says that games will be held in the back until new shipment arrives from SE without the coupons. Customers who have reserves and want to pick up their copy are allowed to do so. As you said, 99% of the GS customer base doesn't give a shit about Onlive and will pick up and play their copy in blissful ignorance. Of course about 95% of the people going into a GS to buy Deus Ex aren't buying it on PC anyway.

In other words, "Tough shit, don't buy from them if you don't like it"?

I actually disagree. One of the better parts of the game was that you can't save people if you do nothing but be nice and give them everything they want. That's exactly how it should work.
In other words, "Tough shit, don't buy from them if you don't like it"?
Exactly.

They don't have the way I hold it either, although the eagle claw is close. I put my thumb on the right side of the ball top, and my index and middle finger on the left side, with my index above the middle finger.

It is reminiscent of how you hold a mouse.

It doesn't look as weird as my description probably makes it sound.
Finally beat arcade mode in 3S. Feels good to have done it once, even if I had to continue 4 or 5 times.
Same here. I was able to beat Gill the first time, but he had some resurrection hyper and came back and leveled me.

Took me another four matches to beat him again.

Same thing happened to me! I wrecked his shit the first time but he resurrected and broke me.

I have 9/12 achievements right now. I'd have 10 if I could upload a dang replay. Anyways, I'm enjoying it. I doubt I'll get more Trials done as I'm kinda at a limit where some things seem impossible (Urien's #1 and Twelve's #2 in particular). I did all of the Easy Parry Trials though.

I've beaten Gill twice. Once with Ibuki, and once with Chun-Li. But for Chun I turned Guarding Off, which allowed me to fight Q and whip him. When opponents can't block the game is much easier.

I'll be perfectly honest though: I don't like the cast of this game. Too many unknown faces, and the cast is really small too.

1) Hold down for the charge, put the stick in neutral and press standing MP, then press up + whatever it was for the EX headbutt.

2) You have to super jump cancel this pretty quickly. Do the standing MK then 2369 236 + whatever button it was.

Look on your numpad to understand what the number notation looks like.

Laptop, but I know what one is anyway.

That information will come in handy I'm sure. I never really thought of that.

Also, last batch of AE changes are out. Yun got nerfed 19 ways from Sunday.

Been meaning to ask you lot of assholes, what did you think of the Warhammer Space Marine demo? I think whoknows mentioned liking it, but how about everyone else? Rei, did you try it - seems like it'd be up your alley with the Dynasty Warriors-esque combat (oh man how I wish Sengoku Basara would've come out on 360).

I was pretty impressed, and the demo changed my opinion of that game from "maybe if it can be had for $10 bucks or less down the line" to "really looking forward to it!"

The game totally isn't for everyone, but I imagine some of you handsome chaps will like it.
In other words, "Tough shit, don't buy from them if you don't like it"?
That this isn't everyone's initial reaction is absolutely astounding. It takes the common sense of a 6-year-old. If you care about that voucher so much, you can still get it from absolutely any other store on the planet.

I guess I'm going to have to give the demo a try some time today. You have intrigued me...

Yeah, if the demo is any indication the game will actually be great. Never played a Warhammer before, but I'm seriously considering grabbing it now at release.

I guess co-op is going to be dlc? Don't really understand it.

I was more interested in it before I saw the GB quicklook. Seems repetitive and the not so good Dynasty Warriors kind of way.

Gameplay didn't seem that great at all. A dev was on the quicklook and mentioned how melee combat and finishers/executions were a big thing they worked on specially since melee finishers restored health. Then he proceeded to do the same two finishers for the next twenty minutes. That kind of repetition kills it for me.

I'm talking shit without trying the demo though. Maybe it's funner to play than to watch.
