Wasn't Haas being paid to sit home essentially to keep him away from TNA or something? I remember hearing that WWE renewed his contract but didn't have any plans to use him.

Wasted potential. I still love Team Angle/WGTT. They were probably one of the best tag teams WWE had in the past decade.

Why in the hell would WWE care if he went to TNA? That's like being upset that Barry Horowitz went to WCW.

WWE just released their quarterly statement a week or so ago. Weak performance comparatively, but their cost-cutting measures have smartly kept them profitable.

Don't they typically start cutting the roster after they do that?

Now I know WWE/Vince allegedly couldn't stand Charlie Haas ("rather watch paint dry" is what my memory tells me), so this is not at all shocking. I think Charlie Haas is a decent wrestler, and consider myself a very, very fortunate person in that I got to see the Haas Brothers wrestle as a tag team, and was present at the HWA shows shortly after Russ' untimely passing. Even though I have that kind of limited (as a fan, of course) emotional bond, I think the question to ask is this:

If you had TNA's roster that they do now, would you add Charlie Haas to it? Make a convincing argument why he's needed.

No. Only because the current booking/writing team is horribly wasting good talent while pushing people that shouldn't be anywhere near the product outside of being a fan at the shows. I'd rather honestly see Charlie in Ring Of Honor at this point to be honest. At least given the ROH product he would be used far better compared to TNA.

Sucks, especially since I think Jackie Gayda is pregnant for the 2nd or 3rd time. He'd probably do alright. TNA is probably really hoping for Shelton to be released soon too so they could reunite them with Angle. i wouldn't rule out them bringing in Haas in the same manner, either as an ally or opponent for him.

Haha, the "I think he'd do alright" was supposed have "in TNA" at the end , but I just ended it for no reason. PSN error distracting me.

DX shirts sell just fine whether they're together or not.

I think they're doing fine off of Cena merch sales.

Speaking of which, isn't it about time for Cena to change up his look with new gear again? He went with the AWA style for a while, then the John Deere look, and now he's sporting 80s-era Denver Broncos colors. What's next?

I'd like to see a pink and brown Cena shirt, with a slogan in the vein of a Dunkin' Donuts logo, that says "Dumber than a fuckin' Box of Rocks" on the front, and Cena wearing a Dunkin' Donuts uniform waving his "you can't see me" hand on the back of the shirt.

why is it that everyone a "superstar" is released, someone wants them in TNA??!?!!

Why don't TNA just stand outside the WWE arena and go dumpster diving for talent then? Get the smelling sauce and drag out the garbage ass "superstars"...

How about this - a brown shirt with a UPS-style shield. "What can John do for you?" on the front, and a cartoon drawing of Cena squatting over Batista and dropping a hot lunch on his chest. Batista is poopy indeed.

Not always, man. People weren't lining up to cheer for Orlando Jordan to head to TNA, and look how that turned out.

Oftentimes fans see wrestlers who were misused or never used properly in WWE, and would like to see the competition pick them up, use them properly, and let WWE see what they lost out on in releasing them. Like what happened w/ Steve Austin in the WWF after WCW shitcanned him (though to be fair he had a solid career in WCW).

But there are also Sean Morleys and Orlando Jordans and Nasty Boyz types who fans know better than to want to see in any promotion.

White shirt, tube of Crest, toothpaste coming out saying "I'm not a dentist" in cursive.

Back: Cena dropping the (ugh) "Five knuckle shuffle" (they still call it that, right? nothing like a family show using a term for jerkin' off for a wrestling move) on his opponent, with "but I'll fix that smile for ya!" on the back.

:applause:

Plain black shirt, and in big ol' white Helvetica on the front and back "John Cena T-Shirt".

It'll still sell like fucking hotcakes.

At least I'd rather see Haas than any of those guys. It's not going to happen, but I would. Right now, I'd think TNA is not as much of a sure thing for the recently released as it once was. The regime in power over there it just as famous for it's nepotism as McMahon's. Let Haas go to ROH. He has a style that would be appreciated there and he won't have to lie to everyone about how TNA is a company that pushes talent and youth over... whatever the Nasty Boyz are.

Pure greatness -

Not to be outdone by the WWE, it appears TNA might be done with Awesome Kong.
I'd like to thank @tnaDixie and all of the employees at TNA for wishing me the very best in my future endeavors.
I like Kong, but I think the Knockouts division really went to crap after she showed up. It became all about her dominating everything.

As it should be. She's twice the size of the other women in TNA and should be able to throw them around. Every one of her matches should be about the face overcoming the monster heel - doesn't happen every time, but when it does, it'll mean something.

I also feel that Kong is one of the few members of the roster who was consistently booked well and whose character wasn't royally screwed over in any severe way. She was and always has been a dominant monster heel, as it should have been.

I can't imagine Kong in WWE, to be honest. Marketing her as a diva? That's not going to happen. We all know that, with very few exceptions, being a diva is all about looking great with fake tits, not about wrestling ability.

This sums up how I feel. You don't give Mickie James shit for a few extra pounds, then bring Kong in.

Hoping for a heel turn from him tonight, still think it would add an interesting dynamic to the Michaels/Taker match to have him in it.

I don't see a HHH heel turn tonight. I expect him to face Sheamus at WM, and there's no way Sheamus is going into that match as a face.

This road to wrestlemania shit needs to stop. The fucking pointing to the sign/showing the damn sign every two seconds is annoying. also, wtf, that Swagger match took a fucking minute and now 15 minutes of promos. Bah, back to not watching raw. Is TNA on now? anyone know?
 Batista is rocking the Rob Halford look tonight
Yet he still comes off looking boy-bandish, even in that.

Rock/Stone Cold needs to step in and beat the shit out of Cena. fuck, anybody comes out now and beats Cena, other than Batista, gets over and we bring back WWE to some decent semblence.

This is easily the best promo Batista has ever done. Made mention of the Cena-Austin transition without it seeming forced, and FINALLY a heel says he's only in it for the money and titles. When's the last time a heel has said he was in it for the money? Awesome.

Cena wasn't bad either, and the fact that he didn't have a response at the end made it even better.
