True, the $40 price is a Squeenix standard. I do feel that some of their DS games do not justify the high price, however.

I'm glad Atlus isn't as greedy as Squeenix. I'm looking forward to Etrian Odyssey II next month, and I'm glad it will only be $29.99.

hmmm, what would be a better compliment my current games being played (Mario Kart Wii, GTA4, and Crisis Core)? Persona 3 FES or MGS2?

I'm leaning toward MGS2 since I could probably beat it... this year.

Yeah, I don't think there's a chance I'll play through 2 and 3 before 4 hits, but it's not like 4 will be going anywhere :)

I think its time to sell Ninja Gaiden Sigma. As much as I enjoyed that game, I don't think I'm going to come back to it, not with 2 looming as well.

School update! Only 1 paper, 1 presentation, 1 project(mostly done) and 3 tests left! Woo hoo!

And I'm guessing there were some inappropriate posts or something? It's funny reading now because the thread seems fine and good but then I read a random comment on TMK and gunm telling people to cut the shit. LOL.

Ooo also, I think I'm going to buy GTA IV as my first post school game and then after that I'm going to pick up Persona 3 FES. I'm kind of worried I won't like it but it's worth a shot with all the talk it has gotten.

I should be studying...but I wrote a review for my new headphones instead :\

I have defeated apossum in a 1v1 Halo 3 match via forfeit and therefore Halo 3 takes more skill than fighting games. It's good to settle these things.

Somebody tell the guys in the fighting thread please. I would but I don't want to appear to be gloating. It's unseemly for us mods to lord it over the little people.

Been playing a lot of GTA4 and finally hit a brick wall on a mission. 3 missions away from the end but I can't put myself through this annoying mission to finish the game. Maybe I will in the future.

Wanting to starting fes but going to get the mgs essentials collection tomorrow to make a run through those in anticipation of June 12th.

Just finished the anime Clannad also. Really really good and just found out a small second season is planned for this summer so that makes it even better.

Now off to play some more Rock Band.

Here's a pic of my console backlog that I took over the weekend (related blog post here):

I don't know what I'm going to play next. I'm leaning towards either DMC (again) or The World Ends With You. Or maybe Sly 3... I kind of want to see what happens next with Sly and Carmelita.

Has anyone ever used the Microsoft wireless gaming receiver? I'm thinking about picking it up but I want to make sure it works and is compatible with most things. Would I be able to use it on emulators like ZSNES and RockNES?

I was actually just using the wireless receiver to play FF3. It's very nice.

Three Leaf Clover is the best mission ever in a GTA game. Incredible.
Hmm... so now that the Wii version of Okami has been out for a while, which is the best version overall?
Just from going by what I've read, the Wii version seems to only take away things--good control, graphical effects, and Clover's name from the credits.

I dunno, from what I've seen, Okami Wii actually looks significantly better than PS2. I think the main gripe is that the controls aren't as tight as they needed to be for certain actions.

But overall, all the reviews I've seen were above average.

I will try to get in some Wii games tonight before my main GTAIV binge.

Good luck with that, GTAIV is worse than crack. Seriously, every time I go to play something else it's "oh, I should do this one mission first" or "I should check out my stats" then bam, two hours later I'm still playing GTA.
The game is something else.

That game is disappointing. Sly was my favorite of the 3 Sony series, and the 3rd game wasn't as good as the first two.

Agreed.

Awhile ago when I was finishing Sly 2 I went out and bought Sly 3 just so I'd have it when I was done with 2 and it was pretty disappointing. It starts off ok, but it just doesn't have the polish the first 2 games have and you have to play as a gazillion different characters.
wow... I hate playing FPSs online and Team Fortress 2 is the first time I've ever had fun on one :)

Plus I love the aesthetics.
If you ever get around to playing the PC or 360 versions let me know. I play most nights of the week on one or the other. I can't imagine that the lag issues or lack of headset/communication issues are anything but worse on PS3.. 360 comes with a headset in almost every system, but still games are filled with morons not working together.

Truth. I've played many Gears of War matches that had no teamwork, but everyone was using a headset. I haven't really played any team based games online since then, which was around a year ago.

TF2 is also one of the only FPSs I have fun with online.

Messed around with GTA4 more and finally passed that mission.
Gave Dimitri what he deserved after all he did to you in the game
AT the final mission now and wow is it a pain. Got to the
part where I have to jump on the bike and chase after pegorino but by time i got onto the bike he had gotten away.
Ran outta money with barely any ammo so stopped for the night.

Exactly. It felt more like a collection of mini-games than one cohesive experience.

hi guys

I'm in Israel and am taking the flight back soon. Its almost 10 in the morning here.
I'll be back around 6 or 7 EST.
What did I miss?

I think we scared TMK off.

Shalom, azumanga.

Williams Pinball is pretty damn awesome. Although the unlock-the-table thing is a little annoying, the actual game/tables are sweet.

Almost fired up Brawl, but then CSI Miami started. :p

After that, it will be more GTAIV. I'd like to get the Liberty City Minute cheesemint, but it's too fun to drive around and stab ppl for petty cash. :p

i actually won something with that 7/11 contest
...though im still a bit mad that i missed the pepsi points and the bzz harmony remote :cry:

Sucks to hear D: Still gonna play it though, for completion's sake and all.
